Pudding is actually also very bitey...I have to give her food before picking her up otherwise she'll try to nibble any finger/hand that comes near her XD. I also bought thin cotton gloves so I can handle her without being worried about getting nipped. You can try that with your Syrian too...if you wear gloves you won't be scared to pick him up and he gets used to being handled. You can also give him food first to keep him occupied
