I think not using potions in battle and not over leveling for the next gym leader will also make the nuzlocke more interesting and fun
in the village on route 3 there is actually a house with 2 old people in it who really like eevee if you join the group you get a shiny one for free (atleast in the original brick bronze so its worth trying)

the rule most other nuzlocks have is also when ur pokemon faints it has to go in ur pc box and you cant use it anymore
also @volo see if the pokemon game your playing have a group if it does you should join pbb games usually give the players an exp share and shiny charms and more for the people who join their group
