    First gotta say I’m honored you’re wearing my Merch 🙏🏾😭made me double take & you spoke absolute facts for this Topic & one of the reasons I shifted my training as I got older. Said it before but it’s always fun having friends who are skilled in a variety of fitness skills & seeing what stats you lack from each other or what you have over each other cause then you can pick up how to improve from one another. Fitness inside your body is everything. Genetics, bloodflow, heart and lungs. Because without health, it doesnt matter how hard you train. Ive trained in weights, cardio the whole shebang for 40 yrs. Still had 3 heart attacks. Get yourself checked by a doctor especially after 30. Full blood check, heart and lungs, train to suit. The bigger you are, the more strain on the heart, and that takes its toll over time.

  • @someguyusa

    Context matters. For general health and well-being, achieving aerobic fitness guidelines give a 30% reduction in all-cause mortality and muscular strength fitness guidelines give a 10% reduction in all-cause mortality.
    For sport performance, it depends on the sport. And so on and so forth.
    Strength alone isn't enough in most scenarios, that's for sure.

    Hey Adam - your jump rope is too long! It's causing your arms to flail outwards and gives you unnecessary tension. Your arms should be relaxed and hovering around the hips. For that, you need a shorter rope.
    Check out Rushie at Rush Athletics for a perfect form example (no affiliation).
    Anyway, thanks for the great vid! Totally agree with the points made here.

      No, endurance is way more important. You can have an ok strength and excellent endurance and you are golden. Or you can be super strong and bulky but have trouble moving your a*** upstairs and you are done. Can't be called a healthy individual, just a sack of meat unable to move his own body.

    • @thronarone9477
      @thronarone9477 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Well, that’s not really a fair comparison. The equal analogy would be to compare having great endurance while being so weak that you can’t carry home a bag of groceries. Now, both of those extreme, hypocritical examples are not very realistic anyway.

    • @jamesfisher8476
      @jamesfisher8476 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I understand it's an extreme example. But it is a realistic scenario where a patient has no endurance and no strength. The first exercises administered are strength building, and not endurance focused. However, the strengthen exercises also build the patients endurance, but that is secondary.

    3 years ago I was 150kg dude, now 108 and going down. My roommate takes about twice (!!!) as much on powerlifting excercises as I do, because I don't work out on a gym per se. I use kettlebells, my bodyweight and I do stuff that imitates physical labor. Also, I do cardio 6 days a week. Result? When carrying the furniture or huge groceries, he stops all the time to take a breath doing half of my "work" and for some reason he can't lift anything as heavy as I do if it's not a barbell.
    Of course he destroys me at the gym with the barbell but... what's the point, actually if you're not a pro lifter? Bodybuilders are probably the best anti-advertisement tools for their own sport if you're more than 25 year old and don't get hyped on visuals alone.
    Train for functional ability, not visuals!

    Mr bioneer,I have a doubt regarding push ups!.I like doing push ups but hate doing pull ups.I have a fear that if I'm doing push ups only,then my posture would be affected.Can you give some advice ,whether I can do only push or how to insert pull in my training routine,eventhough I still hate it

    Question to the Bioneer: When you go to the gym do you get noticed much from the other members or do they largely have no clue who you are?

    Id say , from your rock analogy, that "strength" is a combination of all of them. Seems kind of obvious. I dont put much stock in university thinking. 'lets disect reasoning to the enth degree'.

    Hi Adam, random question - but what is the highest level you're able to sustain on the dual n-back test? I'm currently writing a book on mental training (both emotionally and cognitively) and I'm curious about people's results on dual n-back.
