Gotta love Alpha-17. Not only did he train Rex, Cody, Bly, Fox, Gree and all of our other favorite commanders in his ARC Training Program, but he, like all Alpha ARCs, was almost entirely pure Jango in personality.

Clones who were introduced in TCW should not be mentioned in the EU. TCW completely goes against the Clone Wars Multimedia Project (and the Prequels).
@MandoMarsi I disagree. The first couple seasons of the Clone Wars fit alright with the CWMMP, and various early TCW novels (such as the Clone Wars novels written by Karen Traviss) fit very well with the old Legends Clone Wars.
@Ithoughthewasnigh I mean, Alpha-17 is a completely Legends character, so yes, he trained them in Legends. Although, the ARC Training Program that he created IS very much canon, so it's possible he'll be reintroduced to canon at some point
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 No. Ahsoka didn't exist. The 501st wasn't under Skywalker's command until Operation Knightfall. Anakin-Dooku/Obi Wan-Grievous weren't supposed to duel until ROTS. Mandalorians were completely different, Grievous wasn't a coward loser etc...

The Null arcs would have made a sweet story line in the Bad Batch. Imagine them and the Squad leading the Clone Revolt….
You never know. They could still make it so those Null Arcs where saved and brought to one of the moons of Mandalore. Bad batch could the recruit them maybe.

Rex and Alphas names are very similar. Rex is Latin for king. So when you think about it both their names associate with some form of leader.

I feel like Rex and Alpha would butt heads a lot in the field. On the other side, Rex and Fordo would probably be competing.
I miss Alpha 17 and Alpha 77 Captain Fordo but they live on as 1/18, 1/12 and 1/6 scale custom 3D printed and hand painted figures on my shelf. Phase 1 and 2 Fordo was fun to paint since the phase one helmet had to be repainted 4 times because it wasn’t drying properly 😮. Great video by the way. Always pleasing to see my favorite Alpha’s get some respect 😊
That sounds badass. They're probably quite the sights to behold, you must be very proud. ;) Wish I had the creative talent to do the same. But alas, I'll just have to buy 'em instead, if I can even find them! Lol

Extremely misunderstood indeed. People think Aayla was killed violently when Bly actually just wanted to make sure her death was as quick and painless as possible.

Based on this video's title, and my putting two and two together, my (admittedly biased) vote goes to CT27-5555. Fives is the only trooper to unearth Order 66, have Palaptine at blaster point, and ultimately resulted in the saving of Rex, Ahsoka, Wolf, and several other key characters. Which, as another user pointed out, means that the Rebels show wouldn't have turned out as it did, and thus leading to a likely victory for the Empire.
I don't usually like to look at butterfly effects too closely, as events could be altered by other characters. That said, Fives discovery is the only reason that two of the most popular Star Wars characters are still alive and fighting. Fives definitely had many accolades in the Clone Wars, but the events in the 6th season of the Clone Wars elevate his status to an entirely new level.

Well based on your title, I would 110% agree that Alpha's the *most important clone ARC* trooper. Based on what you actually said however, *Single most important clone trooper ever,* I would then say it'd be Fives. There has actually been an argument for Fives in recent years and I gotta say, I have to agree with it. Fives is suuuper underrated and even today, with more love, support and recognition for him steadily increasing over time, it's still not nearly enough. Much like Rex, Alpha and some others, Fives was loyal and obedient but also wasn't afraid to question orders and stand up for what was truly right in his eyes. But unlike Rex, Alpha and pretty much every other clone out there, Fives also knew the truth behind Order 66 and became the clone who was THE closest to blowing the whole scandal wide open in front of the entire galaxy. Mans got the DIRECT attention of both Dooku and PALPATINE and that's saying a LOT. As far as we know today, no other clone matches Fives in that regard. And because of Fives, that's EXACTLY how both Ahsoka AND Rex survived Order 66! After all, Rex did say, with tears streaming down his eyes, to "Find him. Fives. Find him!" before he fully succumbed to the Order and proceeded to fire on Ahsoka. Both of them would've been DEAD without Fives. So, no Rebels and certainly no Ahsoka, as a result. Now as for if we want them to be separate characters or not, well they already are, aren't they? Like you said, Rex was one of the first 100 candidates to participate in the ARC program that was headed by Alpha himself. Alpha came from the OG special clone training program, which was the Alpha program. But then Rex later came from the ARC program, a step below. So, therefore, Rex and Alpha have been 2 separate characters since the beginning of TCW show, when the movie for that first debuted. So, they're already 2 different individuals, that's just facts and I love that. I'd love nothing more than for both Alpha and Rex to exist, of which they factually do, no matter if it's canon or legends! Would be interested to see how they'd work together, alongside Ani hehe.
I 100% agree with this. Fives had Palpatine had blaster point, before Shaak-Ti interfered. No other clone has ever come so close to ending the war, and yes: Rex and Ahsoka would NOT be alive if it wasn't for (my personal favorite) ARC-5555.
I agree as well, Fives was only seconds away from shattering Palpatines plan right infront of him. If he hadnt of died the events of the Original Trilogy and the Sequels may have never happened.
Alpha 17 didnt have an inhibitor chip. Non of the Null or Alpha gen Arcs did.

Before TCW there wasn't chips. It was mentioned in ATOC regular clones will always obey the orders basically sleeper agents for Palpatine and Plagueis. But the Null had freedom to chose even rebel. The Alpha ARC troopers are to be loyal to republic but also need that have some character like Jango himself to go against jedi plans and can disagree. I feel like Null and Alphas had more character depth than regular clones and commanders at the time.
Can we just all agree that Red Five here just makes the best Star wars Clone content right now?
Bro amen to that. I can never get enough Clone anything my man. Absolutely dying for TBB to return and some movies, shows, games and books to come out focusing on nothing BUT the clones!! Animated or live action, I'll take them ALL.

My headcanon for legends is Alpha 17 and Ventress became friends or something more and lived their days in the outer rim.
I'm pretty sure the other ARC Troopers were as deadly and loyal to Jango as Aphla was, too bad we didn't get to see the other ones in action

Alpha being retconned because his name began with an "A," Anakin's name began with an "A," and R2's name sounded like it began with an "A," is so damn stupid.
But, of course, the new character, Ahsoka Tano, got to keep her name, and Alpha was cut completely. Just change her name? Alpha came before her.
To this day, my feelings about Alpha not being in the show are mixed. Sometimes, I'm glad he's not canon because I don't want his stories from Legends to be altered or changed, but other times I think about what might have been had he been in the show.
Alpha is not only the ultimate ARC Trooper, in my opinion, but he's also, hands-down, my favorite clone and Star Wars character.
To me the real clone wars was the multi media project that combined the comics, novels and the Genndy cartoon. The MMP actually fits with the continuity of the movies while TCW leaves so many plot holes it's baffling to me why people liked that overrated kids show. So Alpha-17 will always be THE badass Arc trooper for me.

The most ordinary soldier in the republic, there were more than 30 billion of them by the end of the war, his importance is at the rudimentary level.
Alpha 17 and the NULL-ARCs were SO much better characters than Rex, Fives, Echo and all those cardboard-cutouts from TCW! -.- At least they had some kind of own personalities that went WAY deeper than just from "By the book!" to "Free-Thinker!" -.-

Face it: If Fives wasnt on Umbara it would have been Rex who doubted the orders and revolted by the end. There was no reason Rex stayed loyal to Krell for such a long time despite knowing better.
Besides, Rex got ARC training, wich involved free-thinking for much longer than Fives. If anyone would have made up his mind about Krell, it should have been Rex. But for the plot its irrelevant anyways.

Atin: only running on revenge against his former instructor.
Darman: fell in love with a Jedi
Fi: feels lonely and left behind when his brothers get into relationships, but disguising is behind weird humor and jokes.
Sev: Lacking ANY social skills
Boss: Arrogant towards other Clone Commandos, thinking he'd be better.
Corr: thought his time was over, but gettin another chance among the RCs and ARCs during a black ops.

Alpha's 17 Legend though Literally, he has no connection to the cannon Besides Rex, However if he did connect to Alpha 17 as you described training The first generation of clone troopers Including rex. however, this contradicts the Canon Because Rex's a first generation clone trooper and he was there at the First Battle of Genesis Just a few months before or after.. not a bad idea though. Actually, I would love for this to be Canon. Because this Most logical scenario. And that makes most sense

I mean, Alpha-17 would have almost certainly disobeyed Order 66 if he hadn't disappeared, as most of the Alpha ARCs either disobeyed the order or just left military service during the rise of the Empire.

Alpha was one of the "cruelest" soldiers of the GAR so he definitely would have executed the order.
There were no stupid chips. Clones felt betrayed hearing their jedi became traitors. Not to mention that they were only loyal to the Republic.
@MandoMarsi I don't know, it's kind of a mixed bag when it comes to the Alphas and the commandos. Yes, plenty of Alpha batchers and RCs stayed loyal to the Empire and executed Order 66, but a good chunk of both DID disobey/disregard the order and went AWOL.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 The Special Operation Brigade had not many jedi in its ranks. ARCs an Commandos were utalized after Order 66 when the remaining jedi had to be hunted down.
Btw the majority of the clones weren't besties with their jedi.
