Ive never heard of Evan but he just gained a follower. Im kinda mad my tik tok algorithm never directed me to him because it’s full of historian facts around the world. Nothing excites me more than learning history and facts about the world. Thank you for educating us all!
As someone who was born and raised in LA (South Central & Inglewood), I appreciate the shit out of this video! I learned so much and it just makes me appreciate LA that much more 🤩!
I’m from the BAY baby but love California history…. This man spoke with so much excitement and passion that he captivated me with his stories and knowledge.. what a great guest!!
Sick episode! I’m a Bay girl and 100% agree that LA has your people. LA/SGV provided me my home girls for life. I’ve since moved but will always have major love for LA.
This is the most I’ve been educated and I love it! If he would have taught high school, I would have listened. He’s interesting, he can talk, and you can hear hot incredibly passionate he is! Great episode, you guys never disappoint
Min 25: “what was the question???” Sebas is always asking random questions! I was enjoying him talk about his career and then Sebas just makes it about himself again!
I'm a 27 female. When I was 21 I met this guy who was 39 and he lived 2 blocks away from me in Southside Montebello where I grew up . We started hanging out and he got told me a mini version of the history of Montebello specifically Southside in our neighborhood. And I was just in awe ,he had my full attention because it was amazing to hear things that happened years ago even before his time and it was nice to share that nerdiness for history because we both grew up there and of course he being older had a lot more cool stories to tell ❤
My dad is a Santa Monica born baby, raised in old Sawtel/Sotel and when he use to take us to all the spots he used to hang out at and the way he expressed himself about LA makes me realize every LA person is the same so proud about there city Evett you were amazing thank you for sharing all the history and knowledge you have gained a new follower 😁
Listening to this while I work and can't help but be distracted by his excitement about growing up in LA and "LA" north. Every time he named a new City, he sang my childhood to me. 818 forever, thanks for the eppy!

I was born and raised in LA and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Now 13 years later, I miss so much about it. This interview was amazing! My fav yet. Made me more proud to rep LA out here on the east coast 🤭
Commenting before I even watch the video because I love waking up & a La Platica video is already up 🙌🏼❤️ if you skip a Monday ever again, we will know, & it WILL suck. 😂 love you guys!!
Visited LA this year in July and I want to go back so bad!! Best trip ever! I would love to live in LA if it wasn’t so expensive!! LA is a vibe!! 👌🏽🔥‼️
You can check out the area where the water was stolen from when driving up to Mammoth Lakes. The Owens Valley/ Payahuunadü is a beautiful area with slower pace of life but don’t be the Paiutes started on their water rights. Check out the history of Owens Valley Lake if you want to know where your water comes from
Originally from Sonoma County: I have been obssessed with LA since high school, at least 10 years! My parents love Universal Studios and we used to take family trips to LA all the time. The first time they took us I was 3. I grew up looking at all those pictures, and tbh I really think that's what sparked my love for it too.. fast forward after high school I moved to Carson for school at CSUDH. I met my husband in college, he's from Los Angeles (El Sereno). I would go home with him on Sundays to watch his baseball games. I started learning about all the neighborhoods; Rose Hills, Eagle Rock, Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, etc. I didn't know there were so many neighborhoods! I have this habit of always looking up where I am no matter what so that's how I started learning and identifying neighborhoods. As I've gotten older I've explored other neighborhoods/places just out of curiosity. My sisters and I share this hobby of "going to see nice houses" and manifesting what we want to have one day! Additionally, during my time at DH, I also met the most amazing group of people who I consider my lifetime friends. My third home purchase will be in LA, I think I found my neighborhood. ❤️
What an amazing show, the cost of living here makes me want to leave LA and sometimes hate due to the fakeness the men etc but watching this episode. Made me remember all of our gems and what my city is all about 🙏
