Absolutely brilliant video a real blast from the past 💪👍 I've had people ask if I would go back and live my life again as we have and my answer is always,"In a heartbeat" 👌👌 great result of all your hard work and hours put into it 💪💪
A truly fabulous day Steve and a remarkable achievement by you to get the 780 running so well in a very short period of time! She never missed a beat! Thanks for organising the day and allowing me to be a part of it!
What a wonderful sight. So special to see these two combines working together and doing a proper job of work. The effort that goes into making something like this happen is often not appreciated but in this case we can watch all the videos! Fantastic work. 👍
Thats a super video Steve. The whole 780 series was fantastic. Fair play to you for putting together all the content. The hard work was certainly worth it when you see the two working together. My grandad had a 780 special in the 70's.
Wonderful Steve, all the hard work and late nights has paid off ! I've enjoyed it all, and the sight of both combines putting in a days work! Thankyou for your time and efforts !
That reminded me of when as a tiny child in the late sixties, I proudly stood on the bagger platform 'helping' my dad tie the bags, as a neighbour cut our barley with his Petrol/TVO engined Massey Harris 735. Superb job here.
Great video , must've taken some work to get that pair of beauties working , as a nipper seeing them in the fields on the south downs and the Hampshire fields , nicely done . Superb film . I'm saving it so I can ponder . 👍🏴
Great seeing the 788 and 780 together looks like going back to the early 60 s ! All the work you did on the 780 has paid off well done ! Fantastic video !
Fantastic achievement Steve great video the old Massey combines take me back to my childhood. My Grandad had a 788l and remember my Dad driving it. But unfortunately it came to a sad end the shed it was parked up in caught on fire and combine could be saved it would have been in the late 70s. Thanks for sharing what you do fascinating to watch 👌👌👍👍
Excellent video, great to see this pair of iconic combines working together! This series of videos has been a real joy to follow, well done and many thanks! Look forward to more great videos!
Absolutely brilliant video of the 788 and 780 special working together and not forgetting the p6 fordson E27n and the roadless major work was harder but the world was a lot better place any how thank you for a great video of the restoration of 780 looking forward to seeing the next one
Congratulations on the whole series and to a fantastic finale. Great to see your family, friends and the dogs mucking in on a day that you are surely proud of. Only just in time as i think it poured down the following day? Looking forward to more content as and when you're ready.
Fabulous!! I notice that you have put an indicator on the returns elevator. My father also did this. Apparently, the cotterpin came out of the split link on the chain, causing a bit of a mess and downtime. Great video. It makes me feel very nostalgic seeing those lovely old machines. Well done, sir! It also makes you realise how long ago it was when I was with my father and grandfather all those years ago.
Brilliant. That brought back lots of memories from my days growing up in Dorset in the 1950 and 1960s. Trying to match the speed of the combine when unloading 'on the go' was always a problem - I always seemed to have the tractor in too low a gear or too high a gear. Happy days!
Credit to you Steve fixing up both of these combines and anyone else who helped you, don’t want to bore you to tears but l cut my teeth on both them Masseys, back in the day it was a different story stuck in a 50 acre field struggling with laid barley on peat land down north Kelsey Carrs, no lifters and stood up because you can’t see the knife very well sat down, anyway, looks like your barley ran well, well done!
