This was the epitome of TV action in its time, I used to wait with anticipation every week for this show and I wasn’t a kid 😂. They did such a great job, especially given the special effects that were available at the time.

For me that is the awesome part of Lou's body building, watching him throw around stunt doubles as the Hulk. Punching is no fun when you have three times the strength of a regular man. When I was in my 20s and thirties I spent 6 days a week lifting for almost two hours each day.

Absolutely not. I mean I don’t know if he could’ve, but nothing he did in the show showed that kind of strength. That tank weighs thirty to forty tons so comics Hulk could curl one with one arm. It’s hard to calculate this Hulk’s strength though because the writing was good enough not to push the special effects into territory they couldn’t handle. This and the Prometheus episode was about as close as the TV Hulk ever got to battle the military like his comic book origins. The movies then had him doing this. It’s like an M Night Shyamalan version of Hulk. In Glass the big comic book fight took place in a car park rather than a big city, one car was damaged rather than lots. David Dunn bent the steel pipe to cage the riot Police. Very similar to the situations the TV Hulk got involved in.

Just watching this scene seeing the Hulk go up against an Army tank brings back memories of what happened in the movie with Eric Bana where the Hulk grabbed hold of the tank barrel and bent it only in this version he bent it downwards towards the ground instead of where the Tank commander sat and I'm betting this episode is where they got that idea for the movie HULK with Eric Bana and Sam Elliot.

@@glennszydlowski5987 There was a friend in the Army who also got blinded by the same gas. They also never explained that while he grew big enough to burst out of his shirts somehow his pants always still fit albeit with some rips. I always wondered how David supported himself with room and board as he travelled around the country trying to find a cure. He always used fake personas to get the job he has in each episode but how does he get hired with no driver's license, social security card or other identification. I guess in the 70s it was easier to get a job where the employer couldn't check your credentials.
