the walking foot is good for quilting what you do your foot is ok i have been sewing for ever i started with hand embroidery the rest is her story you know even though i have the scouring board i still fold and bend like that it is more accurate it make the pages for my mini albums and journals better and when i make cards this is the best way for a good line up . yes i hate the news it is depressing . IT's is not old age we just have so much on our mind if we have not done it in a couple of weeks we forget, drink tea and smile and flow is good !!! LOL A LOT !!!!! TODAY IS A FUN DAY WITH MISS PAM THE DOG AND THE BIRD !!!! Lois

that cupcake fabric is SUPER ADORABLE!!! these would be really pretty as signature covers... then make a journal using twine binding for lots of colors and textures of fabrics.
Thank you so much for all your ideas. I am new to creating with paper. I am a quilter, so I really enjoyed combining the paper with material. This is my first creation and I had a blast making it. I used the instant coffee as an edging along with the ink. Worked great!! My table looked like yours, and spilling over, by the time I was through. So, I think I did something right!! Yes a walking foot is great for bulky items. Very easy to use. Thanks again, your are very inspiring and I can't wait to make more.

Pam, thank you! This video encouraged me so much to start using my sewing machine. I was gifted with it about a year ago, got it out on a table about six months ago, but out of intimidation on threading it and replacing the bobbins, etc. I have procrastinated! Haven't touched it! You're amazing Pam! TFS! I have had my first (mini) sewing machine for years, that's right years now, and ...and I have yet to use it (for my paper crafting, which is why I wanted it). I've been to afraid to break the needle or find the needle in my finger, ...but I did have my friend make a cozy (a dust cover) for it. Lol. I really have to use it.
I love your upbeat video. It really lifted me. A great idea using fabric to make journals or notebooks. I love the colours of the material you have used.
Wanted to offer a tip for those trying this. When you score the middle with the ruler and the bone folder, do it backwards, on the outside of the folio. It will make it easier to fold as you are breaking the fibers in the direction you want it to fold.

And I think I may try sewing the ends for pouches! also, there should be a light on the backside of the machine that illuminates the presser foot and sewing space, which might save your eyes. I love to sew and I have inherited a boatload of fabric from when my Mom died. Most would be perfect for journal covers. Awesome ideas.

I found old flash cards, a few types of stationary, tiny envelopes, old playing cards, a very old bingo set, music paper and on and on. I hit the mother load!
