I cannot even imagine what tough task it must have been for the rescue team. I am from the North East and know how dense and treacherous the forests are with non existent roads. The government is building roads, but the process is slow and takes time due to the terrain. Border states must have proper connectivity to ensure the national security. Arunachal is a very big state, biggest among the Seven Sisters and has the least infrastructure, sadly. I pray for the departed souls and salute the valour of the rescue team 🙏

Excellent Story telling.. each and everything with drawings.. I salute to our brave IAF heroes who died in the accident and selfless, brave rescue team as shown it was not an easy mission(They also could have died). AN-32 is again comes under a flying coffin and widow maker category. Maybe some neta would have got a commission for buying this aircraft. India can not produce its won weapons and then why always depends on others.. This is the reason for losing the lives of Airmen. Anyhow this won't be listened by govt as most of them are corrupt.

@@GiriNaidu Since when have NCC Cadets become experts on Aircrafts? AN32 is not a flying coffin. And in anycase, HAL has not been able to make a transport plane on its own for the military till date. And if IAF personnels have nothing against the aircraft, what give you the authority to comment on its induction? I was an NCC cadet too, and from North East Directorate. And bro, the weather and the terrain here can defeat even the most advanced aircraft in the world if there is a slight miscalculation or mistake. Let me tell you how treacherous the terrain and the weather over here is. In 2016, a British citizen and a seven time world champion kayaker came to Meghalaya for kayaking in a river called Umngi, She brought her own kayak and her own equipments, all advanced in terms of technology, yet she drowned in the treacherous waters, and her remains were not found. Later, on, two more American kayakers died in the same river. simply because the terrain here is as treacherous as the weather. All of those guys were champion kayakers. In September 2004, a Westland helicopter of the Pawan Hans company, enroute from Shillong to Guwahati (100kms), with 8 people on board, one of them was a Minister in the Meghalaya Govt, and another was an eminent businessman, crashed in a forest near Umiam, just about 20kms from the State Capital, Shillong, there were no survivors, however it took them two to three days to recover all the bodies simply because the terrain was uneven and the weather was foul (which was the cause of the crash) So kindly do not blame anyone or anything, because accidents happens through a slight miscalculation or human error. And in a place like the North Eastern states, the weather as well as the terrain can play foul with the most advanced electronic gadgets on the planet.

I saw news about this crash on news channels. But tracked this news for 2-3 days. Our TV media didn't mention such a harsh rescue operation in their coverage. Really nice video you have made which has shown the efforts rescuers had made.
I have watched so many informative videos from your channel of Telugu version & here in English too. The hardwork you invest in bringing out the deepest information is clearly shown in the output through your appreciable animations. Saddening to hear loss of our soldiers... Our Country always had and have will-lacking leaders at all levels....we too are undisciplined to better our country
It is still under investigation but seems like a case of crew losing situational awareness which is pretty common under high pressure approaches like Mechuka when visibility drops. I don't know the AN32 systems enough or the approach and landing procedures of Mechuka because those are confidential, but looking at the terrain I can guess the airport is meant for visual procedures only and dropping visibility would need shifting to instruments which is not recommended in such airports needing non standard/special approaches, Leh being an example. A few of my friends from Air Force do talk about "get-there-itis" and how many aircrafts have crashed there as a result, you can google that term later. Probably the actual instrument nav performance of the aircraft had deteriorated which caused the big deviation from where they actually should have been. Again I don't know if it is equipped with a terrain radar and ground proximity warning system but once they are giving warnings it is pretty distracting and doesn't allow the crew to focus so such approach calls for switching off those alarms which ensures safety in normal conditions but when you lose track it could be a killer by making crew more nervous.

Lot of transport aircrafts, and the air crews were lost since second world war over the hump, the foothills of Himalayas, and the NEFA areas, also the terrain bordering the Myanmar. Wreckage of C46 commander, C47 Dakotas, and the liberator bombers, scattered all over the Northeast.
But what caused the accident? Jus bad weather and lack of visibility? The woman had said that it had a faltering flying path wat caused dat is to be known
Why didn't the army just airdrop rescuers near the crash site. Have a Chinook standby with medics? nonetheless, huge respect for everyone involved in this operation. Same thing with the Taj siege. Why does it take 3 Days to bring in the elite forces? Shouldn't it have been done hours after it started? I really don't understand this.
