Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance style type thing - for a majority of the fight it's without the melody, but when big attacks or a critical moment in the fight begins to play out, it switches into the regular version of the song (with the melody)
I think a boss fight with this kind of musical mechanic would be pretty neat for the Undertale / Deltarune series.
