Honestly I think this makes sense from a meta perspective. sans being pulled by strings like a grotesque puppet, endlessly repeating his famous lines. Kinda what the fandom has done to him as a whole.
Not to mention his connection to gaster as he also knows about the resets but is not as restrained as he isn’t aware its all a game and not fully being infected by gaster’s influence

@@goldenedm3442 yes but the in code stats for sans state he has 1 hp, Toby didn't deem it necessary to give him more hp as he just dodges and gets hit once, also could be to stop players who fight him on a lower lv and with weaker gear from soft locking the fight.

I like to think, given this song's heavy use of media that isn't directly Undertale, such as Interstellar Retribution, Stronger than You, and Megalo Strike Back, it's like this isn't simply Sans in the role of Spamton, but rather a cheap surface level copy of what he is as a character, or what the Undertale/Deltarune fandom and/or the internet as a whole have reduced him to. I'd wager that the insanity and "hanging" theme is likely something to do with him gaining sentience in some way and realizing he's not who he thinks he is and can't come to terms with that. He wants to be what everyone thinks he is, and if he isn't, well... I don't imagine those green pixels around his neck are an oversight.

sans could totally be a secret boss for cyberworld. especially since his real world counterpart would probably be the Comic Sans font, which is a font that people usually avoid, fitting of the "discarded/abandoned objects" theme the secret bosses seem to follow
Well the secret bosses don’t really have the « discarded/avandoned objects » theme since Jevil is a Joker card (used in some card games) while Rouxls Kaard is the Rules Card wich is useless and very often discarded

for the pacifist route, the string is just Really strong and requires multiple slices from the ACT menu.
aggressive or snowgrave results in him swinging like crazy, causing a 100% miss no matter how accurate you were with the attack. this induces tired slightly until he is fully tired in the aggressive route (where you can hit him) or in the snowgrave route, he realizes he will eventually get TIRED and be killed so he proceeds to never let the player have their turn, until the person swapped with noelle comes in due to you moving the box to the act menu and calling for them, killing sans with an unavoidable attack.
Good idea, and the unavoidable attack could be a very long and powerful slash

AU attack ideas: similar to Spamton, this Sans can release bones that act as natural barriers and projectiles, as well as summoning Gaster Blasters (however, to add to the feeling of puppetry, the Gaster Blasters he summons are glued to popsicle sticks as they move up and down, with googly eyes where the normal ones should be.
i feel like he would purposely add googly eyes for the aesthetic, and not for any practical reason like they make them cuter

I was just expecting a megalovania cover in the style of [big shot], but you actually put a lot of thought into creating a unique, original theme! The callbacks to other themes, the vocals being from media about Undertale sans, all of it comes together to create a brilliant and amazing theme!

i have come back to this video multiple times because its kind of the culmination of this part of the underrune fandom
sans and spamton are both secret bosses who where basically the most popular character in their respective games
combining this with the "stronger than you" music video and the other memes sprinkled in this video is a very impressive art peice

Building on what Joanna Mother said, I think the school that Sans was used in was shut down, and he drove himself insane in his solitude.
My interpretation is that Sans got corrupted by some rouge virus or maybe a tech savvy student, and ended up getting the school shut down by whoever runs the cyber world. However, he still thinks he’s in the school so he is endlessly pursuing his original job not realizing the reality around him.
