God, people made it seem like taking a shotgun apart required a degree in thermo nuclear engineering. This is way easier than I thought. Thanks for keeping it simple and to the point Subscribed!

EXCELLENT!! Short and sweet and to the point, what you have done in under 6 minutes, takes other TH-camrs 30 to 60 minutes and they still don't get it as cleanly as you have, THANK YOU!!!

I’m very impressed with this Video. We need more like it especially of the Mossberg 590 Shockwave. Lighting and ability to see the different steps clearly are most helpful.

This video completely saved my ass this weekend. I went to install an oversized safety and when I removed the factory tamper proof screw, the safety mechanism fell into the receiver and I had to tear it down for the first time to get all of the parts - this video made it SUPER simple. Thank you!

I just acquired my buddy's 590 that he thought I needed to replace the action slide tube assembly. I have no working knowledge of my Mossberg. I watched your tutorial and in matter of 10mins I was able to dissemble it and fix the action slide tube and put it all together. You are a Mossberg Saver!!! THANK YOU!!!

Thank you, sir, for your very helpful video. I watched it some time ago, before I purchased my Mossberg 590A1; and had to revisit it, today, after struggling last night, to reassemble my shotgun; which I purchased yesterday. The manual wasn't the worst I've read; but it's far from the best. Your videos gave me peace of mind, knowing that after a lot of trial and error; I actually did put it back together properly. Again, I appreciate you.

    Excellent tutorial ! Subscribed !
I like when people can identify the parts , and use the proper terminology relative to describe each specific part and it’s mechanical function. I see so many videos where folks are trying to disassemble a gun ( and it’s obviously their first time attempting it ) and they talk like “ this little thing here goes into that thingy majob, and this doohickey ya gotta slide over here and push on that there little button “ and so on . It’s so refreshing to see your video and and I can feel 100 % confident that I can follow your instructions and perform the task without any questions or concerns , and it was educational as you can name each and every part with correlation to its function. Good job 👏
    Thank you !

Just got a 590 last friday. You already showed me one thing I did not notice at first. When I got it home and was inspecting it, I did notice a hole on the back of the bayonet lug but did not understand the significance of it until I saw your sling swivel stud missing from the mag tube cap and something poking out from the back of of the bayo lug. I just moved my stud from the cap to the lug. That is the smarter position anyway as it prevents the situation of having your sling inadvertantly covering your muzzle when you fire.

Great video, especially since I've never owned a Mossberg before, and I had to clean it today after shooting it for the first time. The camera angles were great, and helped me work out an issue with removing the trigger assembly, which just refused to come out of the receiver. I ended up having to use a couple screwdrivers and some wooden shims to pry it out. The problem was that a pin in the rearward area of the assembly was rubbing against the stock. A few taps with the brass hammer, and that issue was solved. But I kept watching your video several times to ensure that I didn't miss a step. Good job!!!

Thanks for this vid. Helped me a lot. I bought my first shotgun a 590A1 #51415 with insight forend last month and got put it out of box this morning. I noticed there was a bit of rust on the chamber and at the back of the action tube. So I disassembled it and cleaned it out, even the inside of the action slide. I used kroil and it surface rusts came of. Is this normal for a new mossberg?
The other guys who bought this in a Canadian forum also had the same comments. Upon reassembly I swapped the insight forend with a full rat tail forend. Maybe in the future I'll go all wood forend and stock.
Thanks for this video as it's very detailed and I was able to follow every step of the way! Liked and subscribed!

Once again I have to thank u for all your help and advice but I have 1 last question. When I did my first detail strip on my new, never fired 590 it took me 30mins and around 45 swabs through the barrel to get that cosmo gunk out of the barrel. Is this normal? It also looks like it has some "scarring" near the chamber about 3inches long. It doesn't appear like it could hurt the gun but ive never seen a new shotgun with anything but a mirror finish smooth barrel all the way through. Thanks again

You don't have to do this all that often. If you just got it, it would be good to do a detailed cleaning if it was packed in a lot of cosmoline. After you go through the process once, you get it down and, its not too bad. I do have a video out of cleaning it. It's listed on my channel with my 590 videos.
