White tank, white fenders. It’ll compliment the white wall tires and the black frame. Could invert your racing stripe idea too, and do two black stripes down the middle on top of the white. White bobbers look great in my opinion, and aren’t done enough

Also, Dan...hear me out on this...what about a steampunk-ish sort of color? Like a flat copper with a little bit of dingey, dirty sort of look to it? That's what popped into my head when i saw the seat on the bike. Figured i would suggest it for funsies. Either way i know this bike is gonna look badass.

I dig the yellow but the Black magna is what you're known for, it fits you the most imo. I liked the front fender and seeing how you did the shadow, I think it could look good. If it was was an edgy look, like a point shorty or something, that would look better than a rounded. For sure you gotta bring the rear fender back. Remember the old one you had on it, looked like some sort of dragon scales or medieval armor, that would be SIIIICK! Either way, whatever you do, watching these vids is the equivalent to be me learned so hopefully I build up enough confidence to made my own bike. Take it easy dude.

That seat actually goes well with the yellow... Just saying! Red metallic would work, as would your black / white stripe combo.
And wiring / electronics suck. It's just a massive nightmare on a vehicle. Especially when people have been hacking at it over the years. Whenever I start my project that's the thing I will have most problems with I am sure.

You should do an old school two tone like green and cream white.
Definitely put fenders on too, and trim them with chrome.

Once the magna was painted black it was always black so plz don't paint it any other color

Black, purple, or white for the tank. Maybe a rear fender but no front fender
You should be able to save the breaklight, if you look on the inside of it it looks like theres a split ring holding the mesh in, you should be able to get a pair of neidle nose players (you do get split ring plyers, but itll fly across the fuckin room regardless) then you should be able to just polish it up and/or replace the mesh, (but you know, get a new one if you want, im not yer fuckin boss!)

Use a product called "White Diamond" on all the aluminum parts. It removes the oxidation and reseals it so it doesn't oxidize right away again. Works wonders with very little effort.

Dan, cut a straight line in the seat bolts. Hold the inner bolts with a screwdriver, and use a wrench on the nut.

I'd do midnight blue color,because my bike is midnight blue and it looks really good on cruisers IMO.As for fenders,either no fenders or just a rear fender (short one,reaching to around the top of the wheel) or both fenders (with the rear one reaching around the top of the wheel,and the front one being as short or even shorter than the rear),but I'm not really a fan of only front fender.I do like the drag bars,IMO they look better than the tall Z bars on a bobber.Brown seat looks cool too.

Also I feel like a dark metallic red and the same dark red on the tank and the rear fender. Then front fender black. Or all the metallic dark red the tank and front and back fender with dual black stripes. ALSOOOO keep the magna logo on there and call it Hot Magna

I love the idea of yellow... but i think the current shade is a little too much. Have your friend pull the dent and repaint the tank a honey gold color. Draw inspiration from the bee stuck in your headlight, and stick to colors found in nature. Your frame and handlebars are black, and your seat is tan. A nice gold color on the tank would compliment the rest of your color scheme well. I personally vote for no fenders, but if you decide to implement them, paint them a medium-to-dark silver reminiscent of a bee's wings.

I say do a front and rear fender, but in true bobber style, trim them up. Big full sized fenders would just look wrong.
Blinker wiring should be easy to find. Honda liked to use solid Orange or the left and solid Light Blue for the right signal across almost their whole range of bikes for several decades.

I think you should keep the yellow theme. Yellow fender and yellow tank. Tan leather seat and white walls.
Unless the springs are poor quality theres no reason torsion springs should last less time than coils springs.

Hey DIWD, Dont know what year yours is but I have a 99. Had it since 2007ish. Let me know if you need assistance with wiring and such. I have dug pretty deep into mine. Not as custom, but deep. My wiring isnt bastardized so I could help ya hunt down your gremlins. Ride safe! And by safe I mean dont get caught!
That fancy science word for the controls you were looking for is oxidized. Your aluminum is oxidized. Pretty easy fix though.
hAHA i BOUGHT FOR 200 the same tank on my Honda Magna years back , I bought my bike from guy in Indiana shipped to Calif. rusted hole in top my tank .
Dark charcoal grey (maybe metal-flake?) with some Matte Black thrown in? Or vice-versa. Have you looked at having ACW wrap it with something special? Maybe some Carbon Fiber stripes or something?
You can’t go wrong with a blacked out and chrome bike. It just fits the best. 🤷🏼♂️ my 2002 Honda is all black and chrome and wouldn’t change it for no reason.
