Dan, I have a '94 custom Magna that I did and have been riding it for nine years. I'm 67, and have ridden all types of bikes since I was 17 and the Magna is my favorite. Mine has 49,900 miles on it as well. Gad to see you back on your Magna.
Remember this clip from 7 -8 years ago. Days before i got driver licence. Last Saturday i buy a v45 Magna. 😁. Really like it. Best regards from me in Norway ✌🏼😎😁
Watching this video definitely makes me want to never get rid of my first motorcycle. it is a 1998 suzuki marauder and while it doesnt have as much character as the magna, i feel exactly the same way about it and it will always have its spot in my garage
+Do It With Dan well glad you have it back hopefully for good this time. The thing is I practically grew into motorcycling on the marauder. My dad bought it 8 years ago and i was a passenger for a few of those years. recently he bought a new bike and the marauder was handed down to me so getting rid of it would be so painful. As long as it runs it stays
+camarojoe982 Same. I have a 84 V30 Magna. Super mint condition. I will have it as long as I am alive. yes I have outgrown it and will get a big cruiser and Sport bike soon, but I will always keep the first.
Can you please make videos showing us everything you do with the bike, like coolant changes, oil change, re wiring etc. I would really enjoy that and I think others would as well. Especially seeing as how many people came together to get this bike back for you.
I'm very happy for you. See, SubaruWRXFan did pretty much the same exact thing as you in terms of fundraising. But I understand yours and I am not as ok with his. You asked for help affording a 2k bike that has sentimental value to you. He asked for around 20k for a brand new mustang when he is his mid thirtys. Don't get me wrong I still like the guy but you just seem so much more greatfull for something I can understand more. Have fun with your new/old toy :)
Okay everyone here you go. He asked for $6,000 for the down payment. He did NOT ask for $20,000. Also he did it for his viewers, i mean who wants to see a Mini Cooper. If you have a problem with them asking for money then DONT DONATE TO THEM you are not forced to donate come on use common sense
+Do It With Dan... Dan here (seriously its my name and I don't care for danny much either ...LoL) and I completely get it, Bro!!! I had to sell a 2000 Yamaha V-Star Classic 1100cc bike several years ago. I loved that bike. It just fit like a glove I worked really hard to get it just the way I wanted it too.. I could take a 300 mile ride and never bat an eye. I remember shedding a tear as the person that bought my bike drove away with MY bike. Life happened and I was forced to sell the bike I had always wanted. That was one of the worst days of my life, and still is to this day. I would leap at the opportunity to bring her back home. I for one am very happy to see the story of you being able to bring your girl back where she belongs! So, let the h8rs H8... cause I can't w8 to see vids in the days to and weeks to come!! I am currently working on a custom one off bobber from a Susuki Savage 650 Single. Life has slowed my progress tons but the ideas are still there. Maybe oneday, I'll get that one done as well and we can meet up in say the ATL area and go for a stroll bobber style ;) Welcome back from the crash! Keep the rubber side down & the wind in your face! Kudos to Lauren! The only thing better than riding is .. riding with the one you love!
Your happiness in this vid turned me onto the magna and after a little research I got it as my first bike. And what a bike it is... Cheers and thanks for the inspiration.
Hey Do It With Dan watched this a few times and just love the expression and the joy you have haha it's awesome! Turned 20 a few months ago and can't wait to get a bike and start ridin, looking for something older to cruise on but can have fun also! Congrats again Dan! Keep the motivation coming!
I am no bike rider yet but just hearing the excitement you have and to know that had just a small part in making this happen for you makes me want to ride a lot more I am looking forward to seeing what you have planed. Ride safe brother have fun.
Congrats on getting your bike back man! Just started watching and it's awesome to see..well mostly hear the happiness and thankfulness that you have bro! Again congrats man!
Your reaction to getting your bike back brought the biggest smile to my face. I'm really glad you got it back. I hadn't seen the GoFundMe until it had already hit it's goal, otherwise I'd have donated. I hope you make videos of repairs and updates on it, and more importantly, videos riding it!
A vlog on it right off the bat!! I can tell you are really happy getting your old bike back!! Glad you got it bro I can't wait to see the build up / resto!! Keep the shiny side up!!
this video made me so happy. I feel like my donation and everyone elses helped.. i must say this was the best 10 bucks ive spent in a while... congrats Dan! love you buddy keep it up!
Watching this video when you tell everyone your idea's brought tears of joy to my eyes. I think everyone can relate to the feelings you went through of being decrepit yet envisioning and over joyed. Glad the purty lady is back.
Wow, I want to know about this whole thing, because I am 62 years young and raced dirt bikes for many years (65-75). Hung up the leathers in 76. Married (twice) and raised 6 kids. Their on their own now, and I'm Retiring June 1st. Old racing buddy took me to the AMA Vintage Bike Days in Ohio last summer, and I got bit by the bug BIG TIME. Gotta ride again. Been test riding several bikes. Loved the new sport bikes (didn't exsist in my era), and tried some small light/ middle weight cruiser's. Sport Bikes are more my style with throttle response, agility, etc. But also want the cruiser type style for short trips to the Sprinfield Mile etc. but the Cruiser's just are slugs, slow steering, and especially the HD's just didn't do it for me. Then last week end I was test riding some used bikes at a Vintage Bike Swap and rode a Honda VFR 750 Interceptor. when I got back and dismounted, I said to the old gentlemen .. "Now If I could find a cruiser bike that would have the response, and engine like that and detune it for more torque a little for short cruising, I would be in heaven".... He laughed, and said "What your talking about exsists... Its called a Honda Magna" Same motor, just detuned, in a middle weight cruiser frame. Found some on craigslist and going to ride a couple tomorrow. If they are as good as he says..... I'm back in the saddle again. Will be following this youtube thing.
This Magna reminds me of my XJ550 Maxim. Tank style is iconic and an absolute beauty of a machine. Glad to see you got "The One" back because like you said, there is no comparison. You may have lost subscribers over this but you definitely earned mine. Nothing beats a classic.
Glad you found youre old girl back! On the way back you sounded happy , numb and cold. Been riding bikes for the last 30 year's and I still own my first bike and 3 bikes i have bought over the year's. Give her new oil + filter + plugs and clean the carbs man. Good luck.
I just picked up a 1999 Magna in MINT condition with 23k for $1,500. Guy gave me a fantastic deal on it. The first three days I put over 200+ miles on it. These bikes are friggen amazing! After the first ride I instantly fell in love! I heard people talk about the power on these bikes and was like yeah yeah yeah....then I road it. WOW do these bikes have an unbelievable amount of power for what they are. Also love the high end torque! hit 8000 RPM's and it's like someone hit the damn NOS button. My bike corners unbelievably well for a "cruiser." Obviously not like a sport bike, but still for a "cruiser" it's awesome. SO COMFORTABLE. That's what I love most about it. You have some great power but it's way more comfortable for longer distances than a sport bike. If you are familiar with these bikes, can you offer me some advice on some great upgrades?
That thing is sweet man! I have a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750 that I recently dropped a grand on to Bob it out with rear fender, seat, turn signals, sideways license plate etc.... In my opinion, no fast bike is EVER as fun as the loud, obnoxious, cool looking cruiser/bobber/choppers! It's like sitting on a recliner that wakes up the neighbors and make little kids oogle over you hahaha
It's good when a host can be as much a part of the party, as his guests. In other words, when he asked his viewers if he could help him with getting the bike back, he said "if you can, it would be appreciated". And he stated that he had future plans for the bike and he could bring more content with it. So win win. Glad you have your bike back and can't get enough of the growl.
Hey glad you got your bike back and we can help, ill be honest it made me smile when I saw how happy you were. And I really dont smile that much anymore. Have fun riding Dan.
Dude im so happy for you right now and im glad your really enjoying the sensation of the bike. hey dude I just want you to know that I will support you till im dead you deserve the love man. keep up your awesome work man and you will get to 1 million subs man. Stay being a BOSS! :)
Oh my God duuuuudeee!! Im really happy for you, glad of been part of this and see the result of my and all the donations. Take care of that machine, she needs it. Ride safe bro.
Even tho i didnt give you eny money to pay for the bike i wanna congratulate u on getting ur heart and soul back...you have actually to inspired me to want to get a motorcycle when i graduate from bootcamp in 2016. Again congrates on the Magna man.
My bike is a cruiser, I just got it in december. I've been watching ur videos ever since I got into the bike scene and I don't care if you ride a sport bike, riding is riding. Can't wait to see some more videos of this bike!
Glad to see you having fun! I think the people who were mad see the things you have and assume that you didn't have to work and earn all those things, that is clearly not the case. You seem like a really genuine person who cares about your followers. Keep on keeping on!
I still have my 1982 Honda Magna 750 being my starter bike. They get up and go for a little bike haha. I don't ride it anymore though because the clutch likes to slip a lot and needs carbs done. :\ Glad you got it back man, it sounds mean.
I was grinning ear to ear that whole vid bro, you sound ecstatic, maybe a bit teary at points even. Glad you got her/him back bro....sounds beast btw....super stoked for you sir!!!
Congratulations Dan and to your community for making this goal a reality! Love your channel, keep on doing what you're doing don't let the haters get in the way
I am so happy for you Dan! I am proud to say that I was one of the HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of people that donated to you for the cause man! I am also looking forward to that awesome DoItWithDan sticker :) I will put it on my computer along with many other motovlogger's stickers man! I look forward going to a meetup with you in the future man! I will be buying either an R3 or a ZX-3R. I look forward to future videos with that bike man! :D
My dad is giving me a Yamaha XJ600 Seca II and it was also his first bike he bought when he was in the Army. He is about to buy a Honda Shadow and we're going to ride together. So that bike already has a special place in my heart. I will never sell it no matter what.
Congrats Dan. I wish I had my old bike back. I had to sell it to pay for other things but some guy bought it locally and butchered the shit out it and i still see it every once in awhile. It just pains me to see something I worked so hard on to see some squid abuse it. Aw well, wish you the best of luck man. Hopefully all the bike seriously needs is a carb adjustment.
Do It With Dan bro I have a 1st gen magna its really my first real bike. And I love it I've been dumping soooo much money and time into it tho I keep thinking I want it gone then I ride it and change my mind...after these videos tho I think maybe I'll keep it...there pretty knarly bikes man they pull well for what they are...thanks for the motivation!!!
O think any rider would love to have there first proper bike in they're possession. My first bike I rebuilt from the ground up, engine, paint, powder coated the wheels, everything was either rebuilt or replaced. I had to sell the bike when our boiler broke and needed replacing in our house. I regretted selling it but needs must. I would love to have it back again, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for donations to do it. Everything I own I've paid for myself by working my ass off, maybe I'm just to proud? Either way I hope you treat her well and look after her. As she belongs to your subs as well as yourself.
Glad to see you got your old bike back I'll be getting an R6 this summer first bike. Any way I enjoy your videos and I love to see that you got it back and haters gonna hate. Live and let go man. Have a nice time on the bike
Do It With Dan I just watched your new video called "let's talk about the Magna" And after I finished watching that video I immediately thought of this video and rewatched it. Can't wait to watch the rebuild series.
I've only been subed to u for a couple of days now and I think ur the best motovologer I've watched keep up the good work and have fun on ur New/old bike
It's winter and currently snowing in Ohio where I live. I can't stand a season away from my Honda CBR, to even think to be away from it for two years hurts to imagine.
I bought one of those for dirt cheap not even realizing the true value of it. its freaking awesome and the sound its orgasmic my magna is all factory original too
V4's have got the most awesome exhaust note outta any engine configuration
Agreed. Congrats, Do It With Dan. You're gonna have a fun summer with that bike.
I want a Magna so badly.
Dan, I have a '94 custom Magna that I did and have been riding it for nine years. I'm 67, and have ridden all types of bikes since I was 17 and the Magna is my favorite. Mine has 49,900 miles on it as well. Gad to see you back on your Magna.
This video brings me back to a much simpler time in my life thank you Dan for all the content you have made over the years
Remember this clip from 7 -8 years ago.
Dont do it. I was in a situation where I had to. It was the saddest day I can remember. It was like selling a part of myself.
+Do It With Dan Yep Im not selling my Ninja now! Crisis averted! I cant sell my first give-love!
+camarojoe982 Same. I have a 84 V30 Magna. Super mint condition. I will have it as long as I am alive. yes I have outgrown it and will get a big cruiser and Sport bike soon, but I will always keep the first.
do you have a video on it?
You need those back pegs for stand up wheelies LOL
Hi Zack!
Congrats on the new old bike man! Question is which do I get to see at the meetup?
Definitely the CBR. Nobody would be able to hear anything if I brought the Magna. :)
That's a good question... Prob the CBR so he can try and keep up with the Yamaha's;) love ya Dan and chase
motocrazie62 I wont be able to keep up with the Yamahas...Until they break down and I pass them :)
I guess a Yamaha Bolt vs Magna race won't be happening at the meet. I'll just have to race the scooter and Goldwing guys.
yodabolt Man, i would hate to tell you how bad of a race that would be :)
Can you please make videos showing us everything you do with the bike, like coolant changes, oil change, re wiring etc. I would really enjoy that and I think others would as well. Especially seeing as how many people came together to get this bike back for you.
Sure thing. I think that would be a good thing to do/
Thanks Dan! Love the content as well!
I would like that too
Parimal I
My dad had a magna 700. Iv got to go find one now. That's awesome Dan. Love what you ride, ride what you love.
I'm very happy for you. See, SubaruWRXFan did pretty much the same exact thing as you in terms of fundraising. But I understand yours and I am not as ok with his. Yeah, SubaruWRXFan asked for way to much. People gave it to him, and that reflects his channel and subscriber base.
20k? how bout 30k + dude, even the ecoboost was expensive.
The guy mooched off his viewers hard.
Aneuryzm I wasn't sure of the price but I knew it was a lot. Anyway I agree completely
He traded his mini, and had some cash I though too. Is he really in his mid-30's?
Okay everyone here you go. He asked for $6,000 for the down payment. He did NOT ask for $20,000. Also he did it for his viewers, i mean who wants to see a Mini Cooper. If you have a problem with them asking for money then DONT DONATE TO THEM you are not forced to donate come on use common sense

You nailed it right on the head man. When and if you find it, I will be the first to help you get it back :)
Your happiness in this vid turned me onto the magna and after a little research I got it as my first bike. And what a bike it is... Cheers and thanks for the inspiration.
I donated dan all I need you to do to repay me is keep doing what your doing because your doing it right and stay awesome
You deserve it Dan!! So happy I donated. Love your vids bro. Can't wait to see some on this bike.
Hey, my first (and only) bike is a 99 Honda Magna. I can fully understand your love for this machine. Glad to see it back in your hands :)
That thing is a beauty. Makes me want to get a cruiser instead of sports bike 🤔
Hey Do It With Dan watched this a few times and just love the expression and the joy you have haha it's awesome! Turned 20 a few months ago and can't wait to get a bike and start ridin, looking for something older to cruise on but can have fun also! Congrats again Dan! Keep the motivation coming!
Thanks trish! It is the best feeling there is!
This is actually my mom's account Dan! 😂 my name is Jarrod, I love your videos, always watching them. Wish you luck on your TH-cam career bro!

Thanks :3 Its good to see my OG group still loves me :)
3 years later and I'm back watching the video that got me started on your channel! Love your channel man!!! Thank you!!!
When I was little my dad used to take me on rides on the back of his magna and I swear I used to fall asleep on the back of that thing
Glad you found youre old girl back! On the way back you sounded happy , numb and cold. Been riding bikes for the last 30 year's and I still own my first bike and 3 bikes i have bought over the year's. Give her new oil + filter + plugs and clean the carbs man. Good luck.
Dude like you gave me a smile just hearing how happy you were riding that thing man awesome so glad you got it!!!!!

This popped up on my suggested videos tab even though I saw it a while back... I cant believe its already been 4 years!
You sound so hysterical about getting it back glad you're back on what you love

Please make video of you servicing and fixing the old beast up!
Mom always said "You have not, cause you asked not". Congrats man no shame in asking for something from anyone. Humans are awesome!

Congrats Dan, i also have a magna and i love it, its a 2000 with 80k on it original everything.
That bike needs some TLC, and Dan is the man that can give it to her.
This is my favorite video on the entire Channel because Dan got very emotional, because this is a very sentimental bike to him
It's winter and currently snowing in Ohio where I live. I can't stand a season away from my Honda CBR, to even think to be away from it for two years hurts to imagine.
I bought one of those for dirt cheap not even realizing the true value of it. its freaking awesome and the sound its orgasmic my magna is all factory original too
Man this is awesome. Genuine happiness :) Glad you got it back
