Drumline Cadence - "Concussion" - Acapella App

- This is something that I pieced together with a good friend of mine, in high school. We took beats and grooves that we've played or heard in the past and compiled it into this cadence. It was a lot of fun for my peers and I to play. We even had a chance to perform it by ourselves in front of a packed home football stadium. (Good times)
I recorded this using the Acapella App. Shout out to my video and sound engineer, Christian Sanders, for helping me out with that part.

You would think but I was actually cut from a DCI group and a wgi group back in the day. It wasn’t until later that I really decided to buckle down. Even though I never marched dci/wgi, I still practice and try to get better.
Fun fact: I actually marched cymbals my first year of college drumline and I have to say, it was one of the most memorable seasons I was ever a part of. 👍 It definitely became a blessing in disguise when It was time to write for percussion groups later on.

A..... LOT! 😅 Mostly because I was super picky about things lining up. The app I use allows me to adjust audio levels but it doesn't let me line up sounds from frame to frame so I had to play things as precisely as possible. It was worth it, I'd say. 👍 I'd argue that most drum collage videos you see are done with editing software for the rhythms to line up and sound clean. They don't have to worry about playing "clean" because they know that they can edit it later. That's not my style. haha

Sergio that was so awesome! Sure I'm a guitarist however from the age that I could hold and mail it or drumstick my father figured I would be a percussionist like him even though he died when I was seven and I'm 34 now I still play drums in fact I am going to build a drum kit that is made of all marching drums to the left or behind my regular drum kit marching percussion is so badass and that's coming from not just a musician but a metalhead! Hope to see more videos like that

Instinctz For this video, yes. I’ve dabbled with both Evans and Remo. With proper tuning fundamentals, both brands can be made to sound good. Just a matter of preference after that.
