    That Akita is not even an adult yet its a teenager basically, and you can already see the dominance and the way it carries itself, you can tell he is still young because when the Dobie was ready to fight he still thinks he is playing he showed minor aggression but still not killer instinct yet.

      That the akitas main trait that differs them from other breeds... they show very little body language, they generally just attack lol... our gurl, even when dogs would be spitting froth and barking in her face, was fazed none!!! Her panting didn't change, no hair standing up, ear disposition remained the same!!! When other dogs attempted to attack her, she ducked and weived and when she hit, it would be major areas... didn't have to be a neck grab, the whole head or a hind quarter would suffice for her lol... only dog breed I've owned that I couldn't let off leash at the park.. small animals were pretty much a goner if she got ahold of them.
      To be honest though, she was a bush dog I got to handle wild life on the canadian shield

      Both are great loyal dogs to their owner, both good for obedience training. I will say the Doberman does not need much maintenance grooming, but the Akita sheds a lot.

      Third? Is there a problem with the breed of dog? Or is the problem with the people that buy the dog? Just curious what the issue is, if there’s a recurring problem. Why breed the dog, if you’re going to sell to people that can’t take care of it.

    i can tell most people have never owned nor been around an akita to know they are silent, fearless killers. this akita did not want to play, it wanted to show its dominance over the dobie. & both of these dog owners are extremely ignorant to the fact (they probably think it's a cute fluffy playful breed). research your dog breeds before you make a decision, akitas are like no other dogs i've ever owned or been around. you don't tame akitas, you work WITH them lmfao

    • @KUNTAR
      @KUNTAR 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My male (intact) Akita doesn't play with other dogs much. Most males he tries to dominant and fight. The few he knows well enough in our neighborhood to tolerate (meaning he doesn't try to kill them) he does not play with them much. Only a neighbor German Shorthaired Pointer does he like to chase (but can't catch unless it's in the snow) but the other neighbor's labs he just walks around and sniffs occasionally and might try to push down with his paws but he does not really play with them. Most other males he is right up in their face eye to eye and growling.
      The only dog he plays with is my female Akita. They play all day, but only tug of war with a rope or playfighting. They don't care about fetch or anything like that. But even my male and female will go at it full on sometimes, over resource guarding.

      @@KUNTAR I have very similar experiences with my Akita. Verrrry dominant over other dogs, especially males. He only gets along with our female dog (yorkie mix), but he's very loving with her & seems to understand that he can kill her in the blink of an eye and is super gentle with her, even when playing! Same with my family.

      Hell ya they do. Akita is no joke. Which kinda sux as it makes it harder to own one. Had to give mine away as a 14 yr old. Still have dreams about her. Favorite dog ever. They just animal aggressive. Pits are popular etc but an Akita is not giving up either and has a much higher bite force and are a lot bigger Go for throat and use huge paws to to beat animals down them bite and shake the shit out of them. Idc what the “ meanest baddest ass” breed is dog fighting is so not cool. I would feel safe with an Akita to at the least die protecting me against any breed. Or my child. Mine fought off 3 labs cuz they were in our yard. Didn’t go well for the labs. Also she killed a poor helpless shizu and some cats. Which is horrible so she had to go or lawsuit. Sux man. Miss that dog so much. She was always running away. Even walking her she killed and got us sprayed by a skunk. She was coughing up clouds of skunk smoke and never stopped. Skunks are tough too man. She would get out and come home sprayed about 4 times. Once while I was walking her. That’s when my dad got a harness for her which you see alot of. She would literally be choking to death and still pulling me. Choke chain and all. Harness really helped for walks. That tells alot when u have to harness a dog. She was the runt of the litter as well only like 85lb. Her dad was my god idk close to 200. I know they say 135lb max but no way he was 135. Atleast 150. But had to be well over that. Was tall as hell. Could bite basketballs and instantly deflate them. Was the guard dog at a demolition company’s scrapyard and salvage area. As well as truck garage. “Smokey” mine was “baby”. Sorry for the book I jus wrote. Hit a heart string with your paw statement and me thinking of my old dog. Have a amazing life my friend.

    Thats just a baby Akita.... pitts, gsd, and dobbi would put up a fight but not stand a chance against a mature Akita... maaaaaaybe a rotti, but that would still be a tough call. Akita are highly intelligent, quick thinking, and very decisive. They were meant to bring large, smart, and dangerous prey down solo or in a team of two.... like bears. They don't warn much either, mostly gotta learn their body language. Had three, including my current girl. Her and my friend's pitt are buddies, but have had tussels, barely a nick on her, but the pitt was a fair bit battered. They are very sweet loyal dogs to their "pack" and you have to earn your place with them.... not first time dogs for sure.

      Both are dominant dog breeds and that easily could escalate into a fight for dominance. Particularly with the taut leashes.
      The Akita did seem more playful of the two, but it also did show signs of dominance display towards the doberman, such as when he put his head on the Dobie's back.

      They have a high prey drive, tend to not like other ppl or dogs or anyone who is outside of their family or territory. You can notice that prey drive when the other dog runs between them it wants to go after that one too. They are powerful fearless dogs because at one point they were used as pitfighting dogs and to hunt bears and other big game. They are extremely loyal and were the guard dogs for emporers. During one point noone could own akitas but emporers and their family. No training needed this dog will guard it's territory and it's owner since birth. This isn't the type of dog that will run away but rather the dog will defend you and never leave your side. But if you want a social dog that gets along with other dogs/ppl start early. Also this isn't a dog for a weak beta owner as this dog tends to always want to be alpha among other animals and people. Be a strong owner and this beautiful dog will be your body guard but more loyal than family.

      Javi. Let’s be real. Lol. Everybody knows Akitas don’t bow down to any dog and will fight to the death to prove that there the more dominate dog. You let that fight go on in a year or 2 when that Akitas more grown and has a more mature mindset that Dobermans gonna get really fucked up.

    These are two dominant breeds. If you put any two dominant breeds or dogs together - you will have sparring until one gains dominance. This true for females and males. People are the same way. Two alpha males or females in the same room....there will be competitve behavior or even sparring until one gains dominance. Not sure how people have forgotten this.

      I think he means by keeping tension on the leash. If the leash stays taut it increases the tension in the dog.
      A better way would be to stand beside your dog with a relaxed leash and have him sit and be calm. Once the dog goes into a relaxed calm state - and the other dog as well - then you can introduce them in a calm manner. Keep the leash loose and do not stand behind the dog as it might feel its job is to protect you. If the dog acts up, you give the leash a snap to break its focus and command it to move away and sit.
