You arent missing much.. I just played for a few months and got my 200m bank to 350m bank. I bought claws, rapier, dragonhunter lance, faceguard, bandos, prins, torture etc.. I didnt play for a week and everything crashed so now my bank is 300m and dropping. Just feels like a waste of time. Watching vids takes no effort and im not reminded of my items

I bet those bots that aren't moving at all and are just logging out are there to get "non skilling" time in the accounts. No one skills 100% of the time on RS. So I bet they're trying to have an hour or 2 a day of non active time to seem more organic.
You can sell lvl 3 accounts with no trade restrictions for 50c each to suicide botters. People make by the hundreds daily, there’s a script you can buy for $5 and it even does a few f2p quests too, I know someone in a disc server who buys around 200 of them each month and suicide bots mage training arena for mage’s books. A few get banned but he makes around 10-12m each account (uses membership codes too so they only run for 16 days) then sells them off for $15 each with 90ish mage. Pretty good money when you’re doing 200+ a month
as someone who used to bot back in 2009-2011 you are correct. by having time out periods it meant your account wouldn't be banned. I did it with my main to get from 70wc to 99wc without any issue and honestly i was done at that time and hoping the account would be banned. I even had a free script that would 'suicide bot' mining which i once ran for like 36 hours.
Mate back in 2009-2011 I played 6-8 hours a day and ran a free pure essence mining script of a night making 1m a night and getting around 60k mining xp a night... I did this for 2 years almost every single day, was still not banned to this day...
The bots at 8:47 made me feel so dumb yesterday. I decided to drop 1m in rune gear at the GE in w301. When it all started showing up people were swarming all over it, loads of people. Afterwards only 1 person seemed to acknowledge what happened by saying "At least I got a rune full!" took me a second to realise that all the looters were still stood on the spot where the last item was and they were all level 3. When they spread back out they all had eggs. Probably the last time I decide to do something fun/generous in f2p.

Also just for you information this bot farm much smarter then others before it, they used to crash other ppl/bots worlds and put thier trap no matter what. Now they are program play "nice" and will not do that, i also checked to see what happened and when i crashed them and started putting traps in the same spot they was the reaction was picking them up and hopping world. Making them "friendly" surely make less people get annoyed and report/pk them

The time it takes to 'code' the quests is how long the quests take to complete + extra code time for boss fights but considering all boss fights are scripted it's not that hard to code a boss fight
Considering you'll have to deal with randomization, failsafes, lag,... There's a lot that goes into making these things actually good and hard to detect. From scratch it'd take quite a while. If you've got a decent system built already it could even be faster to add new ones. As with everything, it depends. From scratch a quest will take you faaaaar longer than completing the quest.

I would like to see a two part contest of only ge and varrock castle only. Highest total stills and high go. No receiving items. only items through ge. As well as only item that can be picked up are from the player. Example fire making can pick up ash but can not pick up someone else’s ashes. Only start with item in bank after completing tutorial island. I don’t know I think it would be cool to see how creative people can get.
There is also bots in G.E that commons about phishing give away to a TH-cam video that contains four letter username with three number character at the end; EQ wind997. The bot post a message, and quickly hops worlds after posing said message.
havr you seen the kurask bot farms? they are rampant in the slayer cave and they probably bring in massive bank from the great drops of kurasks. i see at least 3 or 4 every world every time I go there for a slayer task
Please investigate the bots at last man standing. It’s getting so bad especially between like 11- 6 am or so EST. Their actually incredibly good at pking for bots and can easily kill people new to tribridding. The bots are normally anywhere from 3 cb to like 44cb but I’ve seen a few that are 100+cb, probably hacked accounts. The only sure fire way I’ve found to kill them is to stand right beside them with ur staff equipped with piety and prot range on. The bots will pray prot mage and u can just staff bash them to death. Hope you see this. Also unless your standing beside them or see them just standing somewhere it can be really difficult to tell if they’re bots or not
You can just 1 tick bolt or whip them by changing to your staff every hit. Staff bashing only kinda works if you got a SOTD. You can also bait them into using certain weapons by praying what you don’t want them to use. You are right though, to new players these bots look godlike and they need removing!
@sirpugger there is a massive bot farm, some level 120plus and even low levels who came the mining guild. It's easy to identify them, some use a bot and some must be using an auto clicker, because if I mine the ore before them continually then they get thrown off and will mine empty rocks. Then there are the botters who are more intelligent and actually will go to an empty ore wait for it then mine it.
@SirPugger Been afking at sand crabs for a few days, there is 100% a bot on every world that runs around and only standing on sand crabs that have not been woken up. I spent a bit of time running around disrupting all the sand crabs and the bot would stop training if it couldnt find anything to go and stand on top of, its been running 24/7 for a few days at the very least. Not sure if they're connected to any bots you've been running into anywhere but they are coming here to train some combat stats til around 30 then switch to magic for a while.
I killed one of them last week, they ran through demonic ruins where the greater demons are. The guy dropped 500 rune arrows and lobsters too. He ran through a couple times and I got him eventually. Crazy

The person setting up his Account with the bot kinda made it obv that he's gonna get banned you should start setting the bot up doing quest req levels not set it to 99 instantly.. the bot "detection" knows then something is wrong

These looter bots are absolutely annoying, they seem to be on every PVP world as well looting arrows/other stuff. They wait for somebody to die and stand in the safezone untill just before the loot appears. Then they all swarm towards that particular spot.
I realized the basket lvl 3's were bots because I was baiting people at GE by dropping fury's and whips and picking them up. The bots would instantly run at the appeared loot.
my brother encountered some kind of scam involving beer, the scammer traded my brother a beer and told him to drink it, he did. The scammer traded him a second time with a beer and 200k gp this time.. my brother drank the beer and this time the scammer says something along the lines of "hey i know i didnt lose my 200k" and wanted my brother to trade him back, My brother put the 200k in the trade window when the scammer puts in around 400k and completes the trade. My brother dipped after that so i dont know what it was leading up to but VERY interesting!

I’ve been super curios about those level 3 bots at the ge, like you said they are on almost every world. I sort of figured it was something to do with trade restrictions but looting/flipping bots make just as much sense. That being said, it seems like sometimes they don’t move at all for days sometimes, making me wonder what they are doing in that time.
Might be some skilling or processing action that doesn't have an animation. Or just idling at the GE in between botting activities to look more like a genuine player.
There is a f2p bot pk team @ steel platebody spot in the lava maze. They are 24/7 online and their lvlz are betweem 50-110. One 103 is called Jaaaaaaaaaaaa
Yeah those GE bots are looting massive amounts when players continuously drop 50k value items 50 times a day for those bots they would not exists there sadly I even went to drop parties away from the GE those bots follow drop parties and know exactly where items will be before a normal player can see them. Like if you drop a rune 2h they run to the spot it was dropped before it appears.
That merchanting bot made me realize that theres not much point in continuing to play this game. The 1 part i thought wasnt botted is botted. And not only that, I’m competing with tons of them, and because theres tons of them and this botter has way more gp than me, im only going to be picking up scraps that are left behind their powerhouse of a machine. And even then, i may lose money since they drive its direction to some degree. And with how long this has been a problem with no solution, it’s no wonder so many people bot. Even the jmods do! Part of me wonders if part of the reason botting is so rampant is because theyre profiting off of it individually even though the company suffers as a whole
This is probably just a big compilation of scripts. That would be the easiest way to create something like this. Just find the source code for a bunch of different scripts already out there for skilling and quests and compile them into one big customizable script. The problem is a lot of the scripts compiled into this are already known.
You should realize that there are bots for every single online game. WoW, FF14, ESO, EQ, EQ2, etc,etc,etc. Every online game that can have any real life money value has bots in it, no matter how seemingly complicated or easy the game is.

Is OSRS basically in the state where ingame gold is just form of cryptocurrency, mined by bots and used for gambling in duel arena? With all the information from past years it seems just like that. And yeah, there are some enjoyers who actually play the game too, mostly ironmen.
Jagex, we can detect "advanced" bots. Meanwhile on mobile using a FREE program I've botted. 30M cooking xp 99 Fletching 90 Herblore (99.99% cleaning herbs) 98 Smithing (Addy Bars) 90 Crafting (Jewellery) 88 Magic (Enchanting) But yeah..nice job Jagex.
They are 100% impling bots. They are a pain in the ass and been around for so long. Spend months trying to get jagex to ban just one of them with no luck

my brother encountered some kind of scam involving beer, the scammer traded my brother a beer and told him to drink it, he did. The scammer traded him a second time with a beer and 200k gp this time.. my brother drank the beer and this time the scammer says something along the lines of "hey i know i didnt lose my 200k" and wanted my brother to trade him back, My brother put the 200k in the trade window when the scammer puts in around 400k and completes the trade. My brother dipped after that so i dont know what it was leading up to but VERY interesting!
My brother says the scammer is always wielding a baguette and top hat
those looting bots have been a problem for over a year.

I’ve been super curios about those level 3 bots at the ge, like you said they are on almost every world. I sort of figured it was something to do with trade restrictions but looting/flipping bots make just as much sense. That being said, it seems like sometimes they don’t move at all for days sometimes, making me wonder what they are doing in that time.
Might be some skilling or processing action that doesn't have an animation. Or just idling at the GE in between botting activities to look more like a genuine player.
Maybe the bots standing upstairs in east-varrock bank are waiting for the 2 day playtime to get acces to the lms shop?

There is a f2p bot pk team @ steel platebody spot in the lava maze. They are 24/7 online and their lvlz are betweem 50-110. One 103 is called Jaaaaaaaaaaaa

Yeah those GE bots are looting massive amounts when players continuously drop 50k value items 50 times a day for those bots they would not exists there sadly I even went to drop parties away from the GE those bots follow drop parties and know exactly where items will be before a normal player can see them. Like if you drop a rune 2h they run to the spot it was dropped before it appears.
There are more bots than actual RuneScape players.

That merchanting bot made me realize that theres not much point in continuing to play this game. The 1 part i thought wasnt botted is botted. And not only that, I’m competing with tons of them, and because theres tons of them and this botter has way more gp than me, im only going to be picking up scraps that are left behind their powerhouse of a machine. And even then, i may lose money since they drive its direction to some degree. And with how long this has been a problem with no solution, it’s no wonder so many people bot. Even the jmods do! Part of me wonders if part of the reason botting is so rampant is because theyre profiting off of it individually even though the company suffers as a whole
This is probably just a big compilation of scripts. That would be the easiest way to create something like this. Just find the source code for a bunch of different scripts already out there for skilling and quests and compile them into one big customizable script. The problem is a lot of the scripts compiled into this are already known.

You should realize that there are bots for every single online game. WoW, FF14, ESO, EQ, EQ2, etc,etc,etc. Every online game that can have any real life money value has bots in it, no matter how seemingly complicated or easy the game is.

2 years ago... my account was banned for some kind of 'Macroing(Major)' don't even know what that means so I assuming it means Autoer... attempted to appeal it once 'I' found out about it... irony though an IRL friend that I brought into game and asked for me to join them... which another ironic thing was it was about 2 weeks after my account was banned... on the day I was at a funeral for a close friend that died 'With that IRL Friend'... oh sigh... but was told that my account was never hijacked and that 'I' supposedly did all the offenses... My account would be Celebrating 20 years soon enough... like 2024 early to mid I think... and yesterday I logged into my account and saw... 'I could ban appeal it againI(?)' so its currently pending...
Back when all this happened I messaged 'as close to a jagex email' i guess I could... supposedly the no replys actually do reach Jagex people... and I have never heard of a 2nd chance for a ban appeal... I hope the people that keep botting get not only banned, but literally tossed in prison! Down with the scum... I have even met a few people I reported over the many years that attempted to sell me bots and just reported them... not like I was interested... I enjoy playing the game... Keep up the work... even if it doesn't really go anywhere... but I came across your vids in the last week and can't believe how bad bots have gotten... it makes me sad... I at least have my 'Alt' of like 17 years I was able to play on... but where 1 stolen main gets destroyed... I worry more happen... oh sigh... I just hope to have my main back... I miss it :(

It took me a few weeks to figure out why my account was taken... and it is because there is/was a Vulnerability in the Security of Accounts... something I tried to even tell Jagex but they kept silencing my voice... I may check to see if the Vulnerability is still in game... but its a fairly serious one... it is partly why I got so emotional up above... it just hurt... took a few minutes away and came back with this Edit... I will have to check... but I don't intend to allow more people to fall to it if it still does exist... will be checking maybe later on today... if so... I will doing something about it

Is OSRS basically in the state where ingame gold is just form of cryptocurrency, mined by bots and used for gambling in duel arena? With all the information from past years it seems just like that. And yeah, there are some enjoyers who actually play the game too, mostly ironmen.

Calling your bluff, Jagex updated this spot so that you can't log out for 3 seconds after using the fountain of rune. Whoever is running these bots has probably stopped, and I'm guessing you aren't the one running them. Nice try.
The bots high alching after they log they log right back in same world 30-60 seconds later

I like how the custom account builder at 4:03 doesn't even properly calculate the combat level lmao. All combat stats maxed, but the CB level is calculated to be 109. I doubt that script even has half the stuff it advertises lmao
