    My nitpicky thing about the game would have the be the FINAL good vs. bad "choice." I had played as a "good" Cole for the entirety of the game, but when I was presented with the final evil vs good option to either *(SPOILERS, KIDS)* kill all conduits or kill all non-infected, I thought how interesting it would be for Cole to sort of do a heel turn and go evil right at the very end. Unfortunately, the "choice" wasn't a choice at all seeing as you weren't allowed to choose the "evil" option unless you were all ready evil on the karma meter.
    Instead, if you wanted to do the evil option and you were all ready "good" on the karma meter, you had to back out of the cutscene ,therefore removing any tension the scene would have had, as well as basically ruining the final big choice for you only for you to basically just go around breaking shit and being a dick for no good damned reason until your karma got evil enough for you to go back, restart the cutscene all over again, and choose the evil option which by this point you all ready know is going to be. It just really ruined the ending choice for me.

    • @metazoxan2
      @metazoxan2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly. Infamous 1 let you choose to kill everyone for power even as a hero and doing so auto booted to you full evil for doing so but that's the thing it still let you choose even if it locked your karma afterwards.

    Thank you, someone said it. Many games that give you choices seem to have that problem, i always go in like "ok, im gonna make the choices i would in that situation" and then im given a choice like "theres someone locked in that room who will die very painfully and slowly. Do you save him, or go in there and remove each and every one of his bones with an x acto knife and then watch him die. I want choices that challenge me, not ones that make me go out of my way to be "evil"

      @kenkastlekausmo701 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far, the only challenging part, for myself at least, was when said character asked of you to be a 'man of your word' and save the people by activating said micguffin or risk saving the 'Conduits' and lend the world into a 'power' state, ruled mainly to those having powers. That was interesting to me and I agree that giving the karma options was simply not needed because it twisted Cole into something that we could call as not being character of his will.

    The Infamous series really is one of my favourite series go games (the firs two i mean). The bad ending actually got me going, when i had to kill Zeke. Really the first game's moral choice system actual made sense though. In the first game you weren't saving the world, you were just a shmuck who was trying to survive and find food in a city with his best friend and girlfriend. the evil choices were easier and better fro you and you're friends, but they hurt others, while the good choices helped others but lessened your chances of survival.

  • @EldritchAugur
    @EldritchAugur 9 ปีที่แล้ว +66

    The way you described the moral choice system sounds Exactly like Mass Effect, except Mass Effect handled it better. Renegade is not evil, renegade doesn't play by the rules, doesn't care about morals or ethics but just gets shit done no matter the cost. Paragon means doing everything morally and encouraging peace above all else.
    While I don't like Binary moral choice for the most part, Mass Effect handles it the best of any game I've seen, since both paths are rewarding in different ways.

    • @liam24040
      @liam24040 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      the end of ME1 is a good example, sacrifice hundreds to save a few people or fuck those few people to get the job at hand done

    • @EldritchAugur
      @EldritchAugur 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Taggart Yeah exactly, ME played with the two paths to great effect. Fallout is another series that does it very well, your choices are still categorized as either good or evil. But all that affects is how others treat you depending on what morals they have.
      And the ending doesn't completely change depending on your choices, every choice is represented in the ending, it doesn't just force a good or bad ending on you.
      Binary moral choice can work but it's very difficult to get right.

    • @liam24040
      @liam24040 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i loved the endings to the fallout games, there's something satisfying about the text screens telling you how you've changed the area with how you've acted and your choices, it was the one thing i didn't like about the ending of ME3, they didn't give you closure on everything you did, i spent years getting invested in this beautifully crafted game world and they didn't tell me what happened to it or the characters i gave a damn about after the war ended. though the first fable is still one that i kinda adore, it's not the best done moral system but it did make me feel like a part of the world and was the first time i ran into the mechanic

    • @EldritchAugur
      @EldritchAugur 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Taggart I don't think that every RPG needs to follow that formula though, Mass Effect was always very nontraditional.
      That kind of closure would have been kind of stupid for Mass Effect in my opinion, I don't want to see a slide that says: "Zaeed retired on Omega" or something like that.
      Fallout was about the world and how you interact with it, Mass Effect was about your squad and how you interacted with them. I don't really think an epilogue would have fit ME's style.

    It was the good ending I had issue with. Both endings were asking you to do horrible things to a specific set of people, the good ending was just saying there was a chance that less people would suffer for it, and not even a proven chance at that; it was just asking to go on blind faith when the bad ending was a proven working result. Also, all the characters who were for the good ending had selfish reasons. Party A was afraid of his own death and Party B didn't care who lived or who died as long as she got revenge. It's not like Party C who supported the evil ending was being any selfless, but I didn't like that the game tried to hide behind fake reasons to make a choice "good." Honestly, the only Person I felt any sympathy for was The Beast because he actually had good intentions and I'm sure if someone took the time to explain that there was a second option, he would've listened.
    Still one of my favorite games of all time, but the ending is severely weak imo.

    • @bookroach6742
      @bookroach6742 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that it would be a good idea if you did the good ending, it turns out the ray sphere doesn't work. All conduits are dead, and everyone has the plague. It would be interesting if you got the bad ending for going the good path.

    Yeah, he's right about the rewards for being good/evil. Being good gets you ice powers that include a icicle jump that you really get used to and get extra height for your glide. While being evil and getting fire powers gives you a "phoenix charge", as I call it. You can actually hurt people with it, but it comes along as very situational, not like the icicle jump, which can be used pretty much all the time and never lose its usefulness.

    Alpha bolt: I've got nothing much to say asides from its sort of nice to have but drops off really quickly
    Pincer bolt: early game you either go with alpha bolt or this, I always go for this because it does a lot of damage due to you shooting 3 bolts at once, the only downside is it's slow fire rate
    Artillery bolt: early game you switch alpha bolt (if you decided to use it instead of pincer) to this because it's fucking obvious why, it's alpha with unlimited range
    Magnum bolt: no matter what you where using before, you will switch to magnum bolt, it's got super long range, fires the same rate as pincer but does like 100 times more damage, super overpowered for almost the entire game and super fun to use if you can land head shots consistently
    Skull bolt: a little gimmicky but sort of cool to land head shots with, not as good as magnum bolt, but good overall
    Bolt stream: my personal favorite, if you go all blast shard crazy and pick up every one that you see, you have a fucking later of stun lock doom on your side, only downsides are energy consumption and the path diversion at long range
    Scythe bolt: weird, but effective enough, great for big crowds of enemies and can just mow through hordes of militia after they are weakened by something else first, kind of slow fire rate but fun nonetheless
    Alpha blast: short range but has a big area to boot, nice and fun to spam
    Detonation blast: why the fuck does this even exist? You would expect some kind of giant explosion and super devastating blast. Nope. It's explosion is embarrassingly weak and it takes way too long to explode, the jump boost you can get from it is way too small and is not rewarding at all. My least favorite thing in the game.
    Gravitation blast: fun to use and a nice throwback to the first game, and you can get tons of exp for blast and bolt spamming
    Punch blast, fixes the short range problem of the other blasts but has a smaller area, but that doesn't matter, it's basically the unupgraded shockwave from infamous
    Shatter blast: it may take longer to use and it may use up more energy, but holy shit is it worth it, spam this into a crowd of enemies and **BOOM** all of them are dead, super deadly and super fucking fun
    Nightmare blast: I'm not a fan of this, sure stunning enemies for a long time is fun, but I like to blow some dudes back throw them off of buildings. Niche but kinda stupid
    Alpha grenade: the second you get this you feel like 20 times more powerful, nice and a cool power trip early game
    Sticky grenades: it is absolutely hilarious watching people fumble around when you stick them, the extra range is amazing and the stick mechanic is super useful
    Double grenades: I'm gonna say it right now, best evil grenade upgrade, throw out two for the price of one and destroy large crowds
    Ice grenade: one of the most overpowered things in the game, freeze some bitches and show everyone who is boss
    Napalm grenade: I don't like this one as much as I should, I find it weird and wonky and not satisfying
    Cluster grenade: **HOLY SHIT IS THIS AMAZING** YOU THROW OUT ABOUT 9 SYICKY GRENADES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE, I am SO glad that they brung back grenadelets from infamous
    Alpha rocket: I find the unupgraded rocket to be one of the best rockets, if you're looking to save exp, don't upgrade rockets
    Redirect rockets: you may think that they bring back the redirect rocket from infamous but made it even more powerful, well yes and no, sure the rockets are more powerful than megawatt hammers sure, but the redirect rockets move in circles in the air. *Big* circles. This is a bad upgrade, hard to land and you almost always have to rely on the redirect gimmick
    Tripwire rockets: uhhhh... I don't really know about this one, it's good and bad, the tripwire effect can either give you way more accuracy or it can just barely hit a wall and be a huge waste
    Sticky rockets: I've got almost nothing to say about these. Weird, gimmicky, and kind of fun
    Freeze rockets: the most overpowered shit in the game, if you have good accuracy you can just blow through ground like a hot knife through butter
    Hellfire rockets: ... I don't even know, good for big crowds and choppers but kind of wonky
    Kinetic pulse: this is some weird shit, you can use electromagnetism to pick up objects and throw them at enemies... Even cars
    Lightning tether: one of the last things you get in the game but it is super useful and really fun to pretend like you're Spider-Man
    Ice launch: one of the best things in the game and is fun to pair with lightning tether if you use the quick select menu
    Firebird strike: basically, this is hydrox, and smoke dash in second son is Oreos.
    Frost shield: it's like polarity wall from infamous, but worse, unupgradable so you can't increase its size and you can't get extra electricity from it.
    Spikers: no. Just... No. Do not get these, you end up killing your own minions on accident and they do almost no damage
    Ionic vortex: this is extremely fun to use and is super useful. **SUMMON THE ALMIGHTY THUNDER TORNADO**
    Ionic freeze: super effective on flat areas and fun overal
    Ionic drain: the worst ionic ability, if only they made the are of effect bigger then it would be cool
    Ionic storm: it's the storm from infamous but it uses up an ionic charge and not your entire fucking energy bar
    Melee: better than InFamous's melee and its cool to chain up attacks. The only downside is that you can't kickflip enemies into oblivion like you could in infamous anymore
    Megawatt drain: it's nice to have. Faster drain is always better
    Ionic charge 2: nice to have a second ionic charge on standby.
    Gigawatt drain: same as megawatt drain but even faster
    Ionic charge 3: super useful to have and has no downside
    Precision enhanced: I like precision and having enhanced zoom is amazing to have
    Blast shard sense: yes. Fucking YES,
    knowing where the nearest blast shard is at all times no matter what is the best shit ever
    Civilian safety: sort of nice to have civilians take less damage from your attacks
    Bystander bonus: getting 1 exp from killing a civilian is weird but stacks up over time
    Group heal: it just saves time, that's all
    Bolt chain: nice to have and is kinda useful
    Bolt recharge: this+bolt stream+decent accuracy=unlimited energy super laser of death
    Bio leech overload: super fun to have and is a nice throwback to karmic overload from the first infamous.
    Overall.
    Good upgrades: some of the most overpowered shit to ever exist
    Evil upgrades: decent but mostly niche

    what you said about the evil options in moral choice systems making no sense at all is EXACTLY my problem with mass effect,
    paragon, the good option, gets you loyalty, favors, money, stuff, discounts all the while being space jesus.
    renegade, the bad option, gets your team killed, everyone hates you, everyone dies, you waste resources you need and threaten everyone even if they are helping you all the while sounding and acting like a space nazi douche.
    it should have been that either option gets you pretty much the same stuff but with different endings and rewards, like you can still get loyalty with pure renegade because you convince them to join the dark side or you sacrifice some random ncp for more money and stuff, on the other side some paragon options make no sense, terrorist that was planning to kill billions? let him live because killing is wrong...really? that is my 1 and true problem with mass effect.

Likewise, there are groups/individuals that approve of renegade actions/like you better if you're renegade.

Better to have Cole's predictable personality than to have an unlikable personality.

    What I hated with the ending was how hypocrytical it felt.
    I mean the "Hero" ending is basically "sacrifice yourself and EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD WHO CAN EVER DEVELOP POWERS" while the evil ending is "nuke humanity so those who can develop powers will awaken to them and everyone else dies a quick death instead of slowly dying to a plague".
    Both choices involve genocide so why is one even treated as "hero" while the other is "villain"? Why do none of the conduit lives matter according to this game? Also who is Cole to decide the "right" choice is to sacrifice them all? I don't know about you but if I was a conduit I would be all "hey wait a minute there is there a third option we can consider? I would very much enjoy now having my brain fried for the sake of the rest of humanity.
    Sure the "evil" ending is the more evil one as there is almost definitely ways to awaken all the conduits without murdering all the normal humans and reducing cities to ruin.... but again why the needless extremes?

    I would like to point out that the second ending option in Infamous, as Yahtzee claims many of the evil options in moral choice system games are, completely irrationally evil.
    For those of you who haven't played the game, the game's endings come down to either sacrificing yourself and most super-powered peoples to MAYBE save the rest of humanity from a plague caused by the Beast, or you can side with the Beast and DEFINITELY save anyone who has the potential of awaking super-powers. The MAYBE and DEFINITELY parts are important, because they show that the choice isn't strictly good vs. evil. Yes, the second choice is more evil than the second choice, but the fact that the first choice isn't a clear "Yes, this will save everyone" shows that the second choice is just the easier to take option for Cole, particularly because the first choice would mean he dies.

    • @MysteriousTomJenkins
      @MysteriousTomJenkins 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The evil choice is save all the conduits that are immune to the plague, definetly killing it off but as I recall, there are far less of them than normal humans so you are essentially killing off most of the population to do it, not only that but some of the mutations they'd get could be hinderances or at the very least things they don't want. Cole can't go into cars, go swimming or take baths nor hold anything with gun powder due to his powers and the leader of the militia turned into a giant mutant freak, just imagine what kind of shit the survivors would have when they get powers, powers they may not want after watching their loved ones slowly die from a plague.
      The options are, use the device to possibly cure the plague at the cost of all currently living conduits but it may not work so it could be needless deaths or activate all the conduits and kill all the humans, greatly diminishing humanity and likely ruining a few survivors lives and/or possibly creating a lot of dangerous, super powered monsters. Both have pros and cons but I think the 'evil' one could possibly fuck humanity a different way than the plague but that's just my opinion.

    I love the way the game plays, since the first one its a lot more fluid and dynamic, the powers feel great and the fact you can switch back to your original ones is nice too. The only complaint I have is the characters, you're right Zeke is more well thought out compared to Kou and Nix, literally they're the damn little angel and devil on your shoulder and they're very very annoying. You can dress them as pretty as you want but they're just either goody goody or psycho evil. There's no real inbetween and all the evil options are way to damn extreme. All the good options make sense but not that well. Like the medicine, we could give to clinics or something so it's moderated and well spread out but then there's also Nix's idea where it's just murder everyone on sight. There's no damn lukewarm area for them both, and in the end I rather look to Zeke for advice because at this point he makes more sense.

  • @AdamTheHedgehog

    You know, the whole tirade near the end about the Moral Choice System ideally needing to represent the inherent difficulty between the two actually makes a lot of sense in the context of the game.
    Having started off on the evil path, I quickly became aware of just how tough it is to actually bounce back to the good path, as it should very well be. On the flip side, even as a good character, I may end up hitting some poor civilians in the crossfire and losing Karma, thereby making me a bit of a destructive Messiah.
    In the end, Infamous 2's morality system, though still fairly clear in its intent, also seems much less black and white than in the first game. It's a bit like how Jade Empire did it, actually.

    Well at least Infamous 2 won't leave me completely bitter at the end since it will reward me accordingly for being a saint. On a similar note that's why I've enjoyed Skyrim as a breath of fresh air in comparison to the first Bioshock game and Infamous 1 (I only just started playing Skyrim and those last two games along with Bioshock Infinite I only played just last year (story of my life, (and the reason this channel has it's name))), because the game's setting is grey as it is (physically and morally), and the only guilt you feel accurately reflects your personality and is all your doing, rather than an imposed karma system.

  • @Omnipotentmonkey
    @Omnipotentmonkey 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    exactly.
    so you are only using the Morality system for it's gameplay benefits rather than story or character building ones.

    the morality system is too pointless.

  • @neonkuriboh2830
    @neonkuriboh2830 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I mean, personally, I understand the problem with the karma system being one where you basically choose your run from the get go and don't really alternate choices, but I disagree that the evil run wasn't worth it. The evil run, I always felt, balanced out the good run because you became far more powerful in the evil run, where the good run has more manuverability. In addition, I felt that the evil-side story was just as compelling as the good side, with just as much of a tear jerking ending. Again, I see where you are coming from, but I personally just disagree

  • @timothycarney9652
    @timothycarney9652 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like the Karma system in Infamous 2 better than its implementation in the first game- 1 it manages to incorporate whether you were good or evil in the first game for slightly different intro sequences against the beast, and the whole losing against them sets up a convincing reason to either double down or change your perspective so getting the evil ending in 1 but the good ending in 2 makes sense. 2 it uses NPCs that as Yahtzee said, are great, to build on it.
    3 the ending moral dilema is far more nuanced then most series I have seen attempt it, for Cole and the NPCs, and it ties up loose ends from the first game
    Spoilers
    The Plague mentioned in the first game as the reason Empire City was quarantined, is actually gone into more, and explained as basically superpowered radiation poisoning from the beast, a 50ft magma man that turns out to be JOHN, a npc we see little of in 1 but is very important story wise and in both endings dies from what you do to the ray sphere- only to turn out to have actually gotten powers. Said powers basically make him an immortal living ray sphere- ie the thing that can jumpstart conduit powers and kill normies, and the Plague is his power set on low affecting anywhere he goes. Unfortunately there are only 2 options to deal with the plague, because the first story mission sequence in New Marais ends with the ONE scientist who knows how all of this works, dying, and you spend the rest of the game scavenging his tech. So dealing with the Beast's powers killing everyone only has 2 options, The beasts' where he goes full Ray sphere and turns potential conduits into full conduits, curing them and unlocking their powers, but killing all normies in the area, or using the scientists tech to erase the deadly pseudo radiationn with a cole powered EMP like effect, which also hurts conduits.
    So you are forced to either side with the Beast, saving conduits and killing normies, because the beast will keep going unless you stop him, or sacrifice yourself and all other conduits to save the far greater numbers of normies that are sick. With the beast as the big weight on the scale, you can't reasonably take a more nuanced approached, The plague is on going, and since the beast followed you accross country the area affeccted is huge, and with the scientist who knew how this all worked dead, there is noone who knows how to work out a better option. And the Npcs swap sides for this part, because it isn't black and white, the more reckless "bad" NPC is pissed at the beast and wants revenge, and the "good" npc is terrified of dying so sides with the beast. Oh and your best friend has the plague so if you take the evil option he not only dies, but you are forced to kill him as he stands up to you for all the innocents you are about to kill.
    Basically I feel that Infamous 2 does the karma system pretty well, because all the big decisions are more nuanced and not pure black and white. It is better when games give you moral choices and consequences without tying it into a limiting karma framework, but for a game explicitly setting itself up as a superhero comic in game form, it makes sense to be more blatant with all of that.

  • @shankybiscuit8109
    @shankybiscuit8109 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been saying this for years and years at least since Fable if not before, morale choices make no sense if it's easier to be the good guy. Games with morale choice systems are always easier to play as good guy because all you have to do is play the game where as bad guys have to work at it. You have to go grind up some civilian casualties to be a bad guy. If any thing just straight playing the game as in just pursuing your characters own personal goals and whims to the exclusion of other things should at least make you neutral and that's before all the inevitable murdering, explosions and theft that go with all video game protaganists paths to said goal. That's not how morality systems should work, neutral should be the default not just the starting position, good should be something to be worked towards and strived for and evil should be tempting with quick and easy solutions to complex problems and easy personal gain at the expense of others. If any thing evil should be the easiest, most entertaining way to play the game with heaps of rewards to be reaped and heaps of challenging combat to be had at the expense of feeling like an asshat because you had to embezzle the funding for that Orphanarium for Cripples to pay for your gun and money filled mansion but now every time you walk out the front gate you have to step over that one-legged orphan who starved to death within sight of your lavish feasting hall. Good on the other hand should be hard as fuck with choices like save the crippled orphan hostage or save the young mother hostage and BOTH choices should give good morality because you actually made a decision to try and save someone rather than go YOLO and just start shooting at the hostage takers rather than stick your neck out and probably get shot for some randoms, like an evil prick out for himself.
    TL;DR Well fucking read it then.

    Honestly with the moral choice system, at least in won, I found that the evil choices made no sense and were just there to be a dick. The only one that made sense to me was the one where you could either safely remove tar but it'd get on you or just blast it and it'd hurt innocents. That is reasonable for a selfish option. The moral choice I hated was one where you had to go help cops, you get the mission, walk to where the fight is happening and Cole is like "I could go there and save their asses, or just walk away"...what? I just went all this way to do this mission and it expects me to just not do it? If it didn't want to I wouldn't accept the mission. The other one was when you have to track down that one guy in the sewers so you find all these memories of him to find his location and you run into him. The entire objective is to save him and you have two options on getting the gate he's behind open, you could either explain that his wife is dead, so him staying put to protect her means nothing now, or kill hi...why would you kill him? Like, I just spent all this time trying to rescue him and I have a much easier way to get to the gate, what do I gain from killing him that I wouldn't gain from saving him, makes no sense. As for 2 I do remember one where an evil side mission was to attack cops and Zeke had the logic that maybe they'd attack you or something but they never did for me so why in God's name would I just attack them? I assume if you were evil they would but otherwise I saw no point. Even when Nix was like "Fuck em, lets kill em" I didn't see the logic because they were always helping me and on my side, what would I kill them for?

    I enjoy the evil endings in the infamous series because they're much more out of the ordinary, hold a lot more depth, and create an interesting character. I would like to see a game where they made two sequels (one for either path, plus a neutral one cause that'd be cool) where you get to see both scenarios. Either that or hold true to one or the other with each having their own separate story in one game. Also quit with the choice bullshit.

    Weird, the way I always took the choice between the endings was that you have one path with a 100% chance of saving a few thousand at the cost of billions, or another path with a 50% shot of saving millions at the expense of a few thousand. I can see why, from a player perspective, the choice makes no sense, but from Cole's perspective, it makes the evil path slightly justified. Then again, it's been a couple of years since I've played this, so maybe I'm remembering things incorrectly.

    So why does "engaged" equal "sitting on a toilet" to this guy? lol!

      Because he was so engaged that he did not want to stop playing even to go to the bathroom.

    Yahtzee went from, not admitting he cried in the Infamous 2 review
    Not even bringing it up in his Undertale Review.
    Full on admitting that he cried in his Spiritfarer review.

    I liked infamous two almost as much as the first which is one of my favorite games, but one huge complaint for me that was not addressed were that one of the main enemy types poses absolutely no threat whatsoever. Those stupid knife armed swamp monsters seemed a little bit threatening at first if not goofy looking but once you realize that they can't climb at all and that even on hard mode they will just awkwardly crowd around you as you jump onto a three foot high ledge and allow you to play target practice with there skulls a lot of the game loses its tension as one of the most common enemies just turns into a shooting gallery that can be surpassed so long as theres something as tall a park bench nearby.

    Props to you, it takes infinitely more balls to admit you're wrong than to talk trash. Internet or not.

    I honestly feel like if this game came out in 2018 he would have shit on it. Yahtzee pretty much hates sandboxes now.

    Evil option for someone weak willed?
    It was more about deciding who are more important: Humans or Conduits.

    If you did this video in your first style, I could bet that one of the songs would be "Fame < Infamy" by Fall Out Boy.

    Hate that bug. One time I was debating wether someone was stupid or a troll on a video of a really smart autistic kid talking about new ways of thinking and it didn't show it as a reply. So everyone thought I was calling an autistic child a troll when I was talking about the psychopath who was saying stuff like "Rocks will attack you if you throw them enough!" And "Math destroys societies!"

    He also has a point too. S1 was a Portal, and/or Minecraft popularity explosion, something different to the brown, chest high wall, shooting gallery, simulators. S2 Was kind of like a expansion pack, Still the same thing but more to enjoy. But S3 was More or less a Meteoroid other M. Yah its the same show, and yah the animation may look better. But I can't help but think the show is circling the toilet for cliche story and dialog writing. Similar to what Lucius is doing to Star Wars.

    gotta admit, if you lode a InFamous 1 savegame (finished) on the start of InFamous2 they will keep your moral allignment (At least Level 1 of it) from siad savegame.
    so yeah, they pretty much ask you if you wanna be a Saint or an arseholeright at the beginning.
    Also since you'll probably lose your Upgrades onto changing your Karma its no real use to alternate (since they give you the Option "Good End or Evil End before the final climax)

    I feel that the evil options are not going towards the weak willed, there going towards the people who put personal enjoyment, like say, getting an army of mutants, or ramming an explosive tram into some hostages, over the well being of everyone else. yes, the evil options are irrational, but they all give a spectacular view. as we all know, people love explosions, and power! the good options, all save people from harm. the question it asks is "what is more important? to be super, or a hero."

    So what things would you change about the game? I'm not sure I completely understand your problems with the moral choice thing.
    You claim to hate it, yet the solution you offer something very similar- it's still a choice between right and wrong.
    And on that note, you claim to love story in games, yet you say that a good part of a sandbox game is how violent you can be due to there being no repercussions, BUT when there are repercussions that are worked into the story, you DON'T like that?

    interestingly enough, I found the evil ending more emotional that the good one. I mean, (SPOILERS) I couldn't stand the thought of killing zeke. I know its a game, but when you take into account the plague issue, the fact that you can cure him at the cost of yourself or become an electrogod at the cost of him made me feel, not like a badass, but like the biggest douche bag in the universe and the aftermath of you having super followers is simply shit. worstly, the gasp and lightning in the good.
