Congrats on the podium and congrats on all the off-season conditioning work that’s paying off. This was a really physically demanding race. I’m slowly learning that riding skills and conditioning are equally important in this sport.
Great recap! I wish had my GoPro settings right for this race. I ran out of fuel twice 😂 Got my float bowl issues sorted and I shouldn’t have to push my bike across the finish line anymore 😅
Hey Donnie, Joe Rockstar here. I don't know if you've ever stumbled across my channel but we seem to have a lot of similarities. I was racing about 5 years in 40c in Arizona. I eventually improved and moved to the B class right before Covid and life events made it too difficult to continue. I haven't made a video or raced my dirtbike in two years. Anyway I find myself living in Alabama now and thinking about getting back on the horse. Unlike AZ where there are literally hundreds of riding areas in the desert, I have not found much riding here as far as single track goes and everything seems to be far from where I am in Huntsville. Maybe you could help me out. I am 50 and would likely be in your class. I am way out of shape and rusty, and I would like to fix that before racing again.
Hey Joe, yeah, there’s no public land single track in AL unfortunately. Check out the NATRA club in Westpoint, TN and The Ridge in Springville, AL. Lots of great single track at those places. Thanks for watching!
Nice ride Donnie! Joe, glad to see you are looking to get back in to it. Always enjoyed your videos as well as Donnie's. I am a 50B rider as well. One day I hope to make it down and race with you guys.
Looks like you guys can sit down a lot with the dirt you have down there. Up here in Missouri our trails a really rocky. Have to stand almost the entire time.
Yeah, admittedly I sit more than I should to conserve energy. They have a really rocky hill climb at Perry mountain but they didn’t put it on the course this year.

I really love the comraderie you, your competition, and SECCA racers in other classes have. Look like a great bunch of guys.
It really is a great group of people. I’ve seen the same at every off-road series I’ve raced in.
Great video!!!
Thanks Jerry!
Great job!!! Very cool of you stopping to check on the down rider

Good on you for stopping to help the guy who wrecked.Congratulations on another podium!!
Thanks Frog!
Yeah that guy really needs to slow it down if he can't stay away from the trees.
@@tigersdl65 He’s a very skilled A rider. I think maybe he didn’t see it until it was too late.

Definitely, great people and a great organization. Thanks for watching!
Perry Mountain club has always been the best.
It’s one of my favorites places to race. Just awesome people there!
Very true about how nice it is in B not having to deal with so much lapped traffic…
It allows me to focus on the trail more for sure.
When I grow up, I wanna be just like you... Great job man!!
Thanks Michael!

Also, join the Alabama Dirt Riders group on Facebook.
@@DirtBikingwithDonnie NATRA looks like the local club but their website doesn't say where or when meetings are held. Are you a member?
@@JoeRockstar Yes, great ST there. Just join, you won’t regret it.
Nice ride Donnie!

Donnie, the format of these videos is awesome and super entertaining.
I’m curious what software you use to edit and render these videos?
Thanks! I use iMovie on a Mac.
I think you lit a fire under Justin when you passed him 🤣 good ride Donnie !!!
Thanks Kent! Yeah, I can’t wait to try to catch him again at meridian!

Justin caught that second wind.. Good job guys!!
I’m always shocked how close your times are at the end of all that racing. Congratulations again.
Yeah, Scott and Russell really held a great pace the whole race while I faded a little in those last two laps. Thanks for watching!
