fWhip, can I suggest that, when this world eventually comes to a sad end, in your next world, or even in this world, you could have villagers for trading in shops instead of a trading hall e.g. farmers in a groceries shop behind the counter. Or just in stalls on the streets. Only a suggestion but I think it would really help your idea of making the player walk around and explore the world more. Would also make the city more lively with the villager noises
Why not in this world? There’s already tons off shops and market stalls in the city, it would be fun to see an episode dedicated to filling Path with villagers ! Plus this would be great for interiors.
04:45 I don't agree, otherwise you couldn't have vast snowy plains like in slavic countries or germanic. The issue to me is that it's not blending at all. I don't even know how there is an option for blending when it's actually just on a handful of blocks, it means nothing. If you have a gradient blend on 100 blocks, this would already feel way more realistic, but this would also mean have large biomes be actually large.
Hey Fwhip! If you want to take the docks sound designs idea a step further, you could add one or two frogs with the running water, as the lush river edges your using are prime habitat for frogs
Something I’ve always wanted was biome set items, so if you farm trees in the desert you’ll have the desert color when you harvest the leaves and can then place them in other biomes while keeping the desert coloring, this would open up SOOO many more blending options and tree variants
Might Be a little late but i really like Rivers generating from mountians and getting bigger until it gets to a sea. This whould include that Rivers Are Different height
I like the idea of more fog in Minecraft like how it is in the nether I think it really creates a sense of immersion and mystery and so I think that it would be a nice feature to have in the over world like imagine you’re on a Minecraft beach and a ton of sea mist suddenly comes in or if you’re in a swamp and your vision is limited because of a thick layer of fog or it’s sunrise and there is a subtle mist hanging just above the ground
That would be cool as another type of weather in the game for sure! You can get it permanently by turning your render distance down super low currently too haha
Minecraft mountain are pretty realistic, at least from my experience; the base of a mountain doesn’t start at sea level but at a much higher elevation. Hiking or driving towards a mountain is such a gradual change that you wouldn’t notice until you’re very much near the peak that you’ve elevated over a hundred miles
Yeah, there's definitely sweeping mountains like that in the world. There are, however, also mountain ranges like the Alps where, in the right spot, you do get to look up and see the mountains completely take over the horizon.
I’ve definitely thought about the biome change. On the server I play on, my friends and I decided we were gonna surround spawn with a custom biome for each of us. I was gonna do an enchanted taiga with a bunch of crystals, but the area I have has plains and acacia grass. And obviously taiga trees don’t match that grass color. Although I settled on a nautical beach theme, a vanilla way to change biomes would be sick.
for the sound design comment, my personal problem is there isnt a setting for how frequent the standard music plays. it feels like its once every hour at most. i know some people like the silence and may find constant music playing annoying but that seems easily solved with adjustable options in settings.
have you considered putting a dry dock around the harbour like in your old building with fwhip series? that was always one of my favourite builds you’ve done it was so creative like something i’d never even considered
It would be cool to put a hiking trail in a local forest. You could use podzol or path blocks as the path, and maybe sprinkle some rocks along the way. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put comment of the episodes on the fwhip or fwhip two channel, so i put them on both.
Hey fWhip a build idea for valuables/minerals storage is a bank somewhere in the city. Copper is similar to pennies, iron similar to nickels, dimes, and quarters, gold for gold coins, diamonds are just valuable and then can also have all the variants of all of these like all the copper blocks or ores inside as well to clear out some of the starter house storage.
Going off the biome part they should make it so biomes work at the y level also so based on terrain level the higher up you go the colder it gets & the lower you are the warmer & have biomes overlap eachother so you get mixed biomes on the borders of each biome as a way to evenly switch into each biome, there could be so much more added into this but it could really improve how biomes work in the game
the using heavy cores as decorations made me laugh! i always love seeing what difficult to acquire blocks work well to tell a story in my builds and baffling my adventure-focused friends. do you have a favorite “weird” block or item to decorate with? how do you come up with ideas for incorporating things like the heavy core with the rest of the design so it looks natural?
Literally I’ve gotten four heavy cores before a single wind burst book, not to mention everything else from the ominous vaults. I love using shriekers in builds ever since I saw how fWhip used it on the mansion
Hey fwhip, I have an idea for a village, what if you make a village that is currently going through a festival. I would think that village would just be doused in color and celebration. Filling the streets with banners and fireworks just bringing so much life to an area. I wouldn’t know how to execute it but I would definitely be excited to see if you take this challenge on.
What I meant by bumps is that mountains don't have a reason to be there. Mountains are created by erosion by rivers or tectonic plates so what i meant to say was that mountains aren't there for any logical reason, which for me, kind of breaks the immersion, which is why i called them bumps. It would be amazing to see real rivers flowing through a valley of mountains, which would give much more immersion. I mean one little FWhip made his own mountain range... That isn't happening irl. Even more so as humans can't compete with the literal power of the earth. Also i totally with the fact that biomes aren't affected by the y level like caves. Really a missed opportunity during the caves and cliffs update. I know the caves and cliffs was one of the best updates. I remember well how the terrain was before the but i feel like there's so much opportunity in higher mountains. Edit: To be fair, for a world with cubed guys with their hands attached (villagers) it's pretty amazing! Love your videos ❤ brings joy to my day
Minecraft biomes could be fixed easily with Y level changing, in a lot of terrain generation and biome mods they split the world into different Y-level groups, when you go below a certain y level the biome changes and when you go above a certain Y-level it changes again, this way when demolishing mountains your left with being at the Y levels of a plains or building your own makes it a stony or snowy peaks based on the surrounding biomes
7:27 instead of having the discs cycling nonstop, maybe you could set up a sculk sensor system so when you walk near the area you want to have audio, sculk will send to the jukebox and the disc will start playing. Idk if this could help cut back on the lag of continuously running a system to rotate discs. Wish I could do data packs but I’m on a bedrock server
On the topic of players changing biomes in a vanilla friendly way I think taking inspiration from D&D's spell 'Temple of the Gods' could be a good idea. Basically the players has to cast the spell on the same spot every day for a year to make it permanent. I think minecraft could do something similar, adding in a new magic block where everyday for 3 ingame days you have to throw a potion on it, that potion could be made from materials gather from the biome you want (eg; dark oak saplings)
i really want to see you implement the snow around the tree and city by maybe making some castles in the mountains, connected by a wall or a pathway or something. i love the way winterfell from the game of thrones series looks and i think you could totally make a whole area that is centered around a snowy fortress or something like that.
Hey Fwhip, non Minecraft question but would you consider releasing your music playlist for streaming onto Spotify or Apple Music. I love your streams and awesome music so I want to listen on the go or grinding on my Minecraft world
I think personally that changing biomes in survival would be great for building but the technical side of the community would use it to build farms everywhere, for example, building a slime farm in a mountain. I don’t think that Mojang would add it just because of that. If they did it would have to be very rare and very late game.
Thing with that is that sadly "late game" isn't that late anymore ... You can easily acquire full diamond in the first few hours and get netherite in a few more
With the addition of oozing potions, do we even build slime farms anymore? I usually get a Fletcher villager to sell me oozing arrows and that's that (a mob that's killed while under the Oozing effect will spawn 2 mid-sized slimes, which you do get slime balls from killing).
It was nice seeing the old Building w/ Fwhip world again. You gave me the idea to do a forever world years ago when the series was still going so it's really sad now that you've stopped uploading it and from the looks of it you don't seem to play on it anymore either.
For the ambient sounds I’d say they should include a tab in the settings menu specifically for ambient sounds and include a toggle for each individual ambient sounds for example river sounds, leaves rustling, birds chirping and others. I think allowing players to choose which ones to have on or off removes the all or none aspect of having them all under one toggle if they were to be added soon (this would mean that if you get annoyed by one particular sound you can remove it and still keep the ones you like). Edit: Btw if anyone wants to include timestamps on fWhips vods on TH-cam with things like build tips at so and so time and then other key events or questions which fWhip talks about for a long time it would be great for people who don’t have the time to watch the full vod. I would’ve loved to do this on all the vods but I don’t have the time to do it especially with school in September so hopefully it will be a community task!
Hey fWhip! I wondered if you thought about a greenhouse kinda center to the university build, with a glass roof (ie: like the « grand Palais » in Paris). This could be a center point with different corridors leading to it, where students could relax and study under a world tree miniature?
I don't comment too often but man I always love watching your hardcore videos. The design in your builds is just so cool to see. On a side not I hope you don't plan to tear down all of the mountains around the city because I think they function as a great barrier limiting the cities potential growth, which is real life would usually lead to a denser city or suburbs being built along the mountains edges which would be cool.
I saw the name of this video, and it reminded me of an idea i had a while back during the villager change debates over super flats. It would be cool if every tree type created its own "grass" type block like spruce and podzo or have acacia trees spread that ugly grass everyone hates. This way you could terraform your world. So maybe youre required to create a 200x200 area of solid podzol and then it becomes a taiga biome. Or have more complex options where from a plains biome you can make many of the other grassy biomes but to get to a desert youve got to "dry" it out first by becoming a savanna then perhaps you have to cut down all the trees or remove all the grass by making everything path blocks then after a certain time those blocks have a chance to start becoming sand(just spitballing). This would simulate what we commonly refer to as desertification.
I just want more updates to biomes like the Desert and Savanah since it's not anywhere Mojang planned. We need an Oasis or some rare place for each biome to make explanation actually worth it like the Trail chambers
hey fwhip just an idea for ambient sounds around waterways you could potentially add frogs in hidden spots to make seem as if there's wild life living by and in the rivers.
Sound physics remastered is a really popular mod and it’s awesome if you think the sounds are lacking. I will say some of the sounds are a bit extreme but you can tweak with the settings of the mod in game if you think something should be different I’m pretty sure.

Good lucky with that heavy core. I've hit over 50 ominous vaults so far in my world and haven't gotten one. Trial Chamber loot is weird, and gets really annoying after a while. I'm starting to think the effort it takes to get the mace is not worth what it does, finding it hard to imagine what use it would be in the normal course of a single player survival world.
What are your thoughts on different colored lighting, like the different frog lights would give off purple, green, yellow, etc? Ik it’s probably a nightmare for coding but it would really enhance the feel in tight spaces, or like a futuristic/cyberpunky city.
Hey fwhip my question to you is will you ever do a series called building with fwhip where you show us how you come up with all your build ideas and maybe different build styles/ village styles?

Instead of “comment of the day,” why not “comments for the day?” It would have the same ring to it and most may not notice the slight change. Just a random thought I had 10 seconds in
I don't have a problem with snow being on ocean level. For example the desert Gobi get's regular snow. And it also has camels. But I play with large biome anyways. I think that lessens that problem. What annoys me is when those big caves are visible from the surface. Usually it looks very unnatural and it happens way too often.
@@Gofaw I don't mind if the the terrain doesn't look real. That's why I like the beta terrain. I do mind if an art style is set up and then that very same art style is broken within the same medium. And the caves break the surface landscape art style.
Heeey, is the texture pack and world download available on bedrock? I'm thinking of becoming a member. (Yes I am spamming this, but I really need an answer)
I don't about the world download, that might be a thing. But, I'm pretty sure his texture pack is for Java. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong here, but I seem to remember during one of his streams he said that he hasn't done anything for Bedrock with the texture pack since it is in an entirely different programming language.
Speaking of Biomes. What’s one or a couple of new biomes you would want Mojang to add? The three I always talk about with my friends are a Large pumpkin biome with block built pumpkins, an actual Mushroom forest biome and a charred forest biome thats all burnt and black with a new headless horseman type mob.
fWhip, can I suggest that, when this world eventually comes to a sad end, in your next world, or even in this world, you could have villagers for trading in shops instead of a trading hall e.g. farmers in a groceries shop behind the counter.
Usually it looks very unnatural and it happens way too often.
oh no my block game doesnt simulate real terrain!!!
@@ryan_bombard awww rats. Ok. Welp. *deep sigh of regret bc not able to have bushy leaves and cool flowers*

"Episode Q&A" is kinda what it is??
Commemts of the week?
Speaking of Biomes. What’s one or a couple of new biomes you would want Mojang to add? The three I always talk about with my friends are a Large pumpkin biome with block built pumpkins, an actual Mushroom forest biome and a charred forest biome thats all burnt and black with a new headless horseman type mob.
beans
Will you ever get bored of Minecraft
could just call these "comments of the week"?
I use amulet to change biome type in survival, which doesn't get rid of achievements is that cheating?
If you make mountains larger in minecraft then you can't even load them all the way in java without optimization mods
