    I didn't realize all the bolts in my motor were loose and that was the clunking noise during detection.... DOH!

    Hey thanks great vid. Is there a way to change the remote throttle mapping on the app without doing the set up procedure all over again?

    How did you connect bms for it ? does it have to be from flipsky or you can connect just any that supoorts uart ?

    Nice summary & App - thank you Jeffery.
    Can I just check something - when using 2 VESCs linked by CAN, on the RT Data tab does the Current (A) display relate to the one VESC that you have selected or is it total current draw of both? Cheers

    Thank you for the video! Stupid question though... will the app work with the generic BLE modules like the Flipsky?

    • @FriesenDesigns
      @FriesenDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a stupid question at all. It should work with all nrf based bluetooth modules, of which flipsky does sell one. If they are based on hm10 they will not be compatible.

      @@FriesenDesigns Awesome thanks for the reply, I just got confused because they say they are only Android compatible.

    • @FriesenDesigns
      @FriesenDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@babushkini2734 Yea I think they have that there just because at the time the app was only supported on android and this was only changed very recently.

    @Jeffrey Friesen Hello, I have a question, I also have iOS, I updated the firmware and my bms disappeared, and I don't have a battery chart and I can't charge the skateboard, could you help me solve the problem??

    I’ve started into this app and now I cannot operate my board like I was able to do prior which was turn on the remote , power on the board and ride. Now the board does respond to my phone but not the remote. The phone will also respond to the Remote but not the remote to board and I can’t figure out what I did wrong. Can I disconnect the app and go back to how things were prior which was board and remote and that’s it ?

    Is it possible to make VESC Tool for Mac or Windows show MPH/Imperial units like on the IOS App? Thanks!

    Hello, I have a question for us Vesc Tool on the iPhone and when I enter the settings, whether it is motors or remote control and I want to slightly change something to 1 vesc and I want to switch to 2 vesc, it happens that the connection automatically disconnects. Do you have it too?

    where can you find a bluetooth module that is compatible with ios? flipsky's option says that it is only compatible with android, thanks!

    • @FriesenDesigns
      @FriesenDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think flipsky's will work still with iOS that info is out of date. If you want a much more premium option with a lot of cool extra features I would check out the VESC Express from trampa: trampaboards.com/vesc-express-with-canbus-power-cable-2-p-35329.html

    Question: While throttling the motors were making these weird noises like stuttering. How can someone fix that?

  • @spireEngineering6523

    Won’t pair to spintend vesc v1. I can pair to android no issue but hen attempting with vesc it says it can’t read vesc firmware. 😢

    Hi, I have an iPhone 12 pro + vesc tool + a tramp skateboard, I have problems with the application, namely it loads everything nicely, but if I sit a bit in the board settings in the application, the connection is interrupted from the machine and I have to reconnect. is it normal for apple devices to have problems with vesc tool?

    Can anyone recommend a wireless bluetooth transmitter?

  • @cristof1101

    Hello,
    I have been using VESC TOOL on my iPhone for some time to read the data from my FLIPSKY esc via a Bluetooth module of the same brand and change the CONTROL TYPE parameter in the CFG/PPM APP tab.
    I did a false manipulation pressed the READ button instead of the WRITE button.
    Since then, I can no longer use the application because I have a READ FIRMWARE VERSION window that opens whose message is:
    COULD NOT READ FIRMWARE VERSION. MAKE SURE THAT THE SELECTED PORT REALLY BELONGS TO THE VESC.
    Do you have a solution to solve this problem?
    In addition, using a mac, I am looking for a compatible version of VESC TOOL.
    Seeing on your video that you are also using a mac, could you tell me how to get this version?
    Warmly

      Sorry can’t help with your issue, but I was wondering other than this bug, did the flipsky wireless bluetooth module seem to work well with this iOS app? I remember reading on the flipsky website their wireless module only worked with android.

    What BMS are you using that supports vesc?

    • @FriesenDesigns
      @FriesenDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a custom one not currently available. I think trampa boards will soon release a standalone one but it is not out yet. The mountain board batteries they sell with 21700 and 18650 batteries are compatible.

    This is very exciting to see! What IOS versions will it be compatible with?
    Edit: Nevemind. I now see that it works with iOS 12 and above. 👍

    #Jeffrey Friesen Hello, I have one question. Do you have the vesc tool 6.02 installation file for iPhone, because I would need it and I have 6.05 and I want to go lower, but if so, could you give me a link so that I can download it and install it. Thank you in advance

    • @FriesenDesigns
      @FriesenDesigns  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately iOS installs do not work this way. You would need to pull the source code from github and go to the 6.02 release branch and build it yourself for your phone specifically as sideloading on apple is extremely locked down. 6.05 is backwards compatible with 6.02, is there a reason you need specificallys that one?

    • @predatorrtx3528
      @predatorrtx3528 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      #Jeffrey Friesen Hello, let me explain why I need 6.02 and not 6.05 as I currently have it, because this message about backward compatibility irritates me a bit. and I have 2 x VESCs and when I switch between them, I have to confirm compatibility, that's one thing, and the second is that I had a similar case when I was switching from 3.01 to 6.02 and I quickly entered the application, updated the software in 2 VESCs and then a problem occurred because the application did not detect The BMS that I have built into the PCB boards FROM TRAMP and only the connection with a special BMS cable made the BMS work. so unless you have the entire 6.02 app for iOS and I could just download it from the cloud and install it? And one more thing, do you also have this on iOS, as I know, after a minute it disconnects the connection and reconnects?
