Seeing some mental illness in the comments, so let me make this crystal clear for those with 0 Media literacy. This video isn't made to disprove Jello's video, Like i said, i didn't watch it, trying to do that would be stupid. This video only exists because I saw a lot of people fighting in MY COMMENTS about if Nahida was good or not and a lot of them reference jello. Whether I watched his video is 100% irrelevant to every major point I made, the fact that people where arguing about his video in the comments of my video was the point to establish this videos premises. I only brought him up because It was the most recent example of me seeing people argue over meta, which happened the same day I recorded this Audio. Which i say at 0:28 and repeat again at 1:35 To all the people in my comments trying to claim this video is me trying to debunking Jello because I brought up their video for 30 seconds of a 10 minute video, this time stamp is for you 1:16
to be quite fair jello didn't say that she is weak or has fallen off, but said that she is starting to fall off ever so slightly, but we all know that you can 36 star with barbara. dendro mc, collei and kuki so its whatever
Basically to summarize Jello's video about Nahida: She is no longer universally the BiS Dendro character for every single Dendro team, and newer characters rarely have her in their BiS teams.
Blah blah blah. All talk and no evidence to back it up. And it has to be PHYSICAL evidence! He or she has none of that Besides, Nahida was made for specific teams. If any team goes outside her line of work then what is she gonna do? DUH! Nothing!
@@infwarriorofshadows5897 What is the point of this comment? "And it has to be PHYSICAL evidence! He or she has none of that" Wild to make accusations about content you haven't watched by someone you demonstrate not knowing anything about. Shows clearly a preference to just tear people down rather than actually have productive discussions about the topic. "Besides, Nahida was made for specific teams." This is a very weird take. Chevruese, Emilie, and Nilou, these are examples of characters made for specific teams. Nahida is clearly a universal dendro character.
That doesn’t really make her bad, sure it may suck that her EM boosting doesn’t do much for Burning and Burgeon teams, but on the flip side she’s insane in Aggravate, Spread and Hyperbloom teams. It’s kinda like Kazuha and Xilonen, they both do nothing for Dendro and Anemo units (Geo too but it only applies to Kazuha), but they’re both still amazing units because they support Hydro, Pyro, Cryo and Electro characters by a ton. I have a feeling if a character was universally insane in every single team then why even pull anyone else at that point.
As someone who watched Jello's video. His argument was that Nahida ISN'T bad by any means! She's still an S Tier character. She's just fallen off because of various reasons. In summary, there's rarely any buffs to dendro that help Nahida nor is there any further investment you can put on her other then C2 maximum.
He isn't just power, but also comfort and universal. Good at both single and solo target, has range that cover half of the room and has self sustain build directly in his kit. He literally has no weaknesses from a gameplay standpoint, besides elemental immunity but, everyone has it.
I'm beginning to notice that you have mellowed out quite a lot. Your experience has begun to show more than your anger towards the game and now you're more focused on giving advice so that people don't get as annoyed as you have been. Honestly, I really like this step in your journey towards content creation. It inspires me to become even better at managing my own server where I help other Genshin/WuWa/HSR players avoid mistakes that could end up "Bricking" their accounts. You're going through an amazing path, Soul! Keep it up!
To be fair, he did make a clickbaity title. In the video he says that Nahida is still T0 and one of the strongest characters in the game, he just doesn’t think she’s AS strong as she was and she isn’t a must pull anymore (Not giving any opinions on what he just, I’m just saying what was in the video)
Bro if Nahida isn’t a must pull than neither are Furina and kazuha they are like the core of their elements and bring every team to their max potential depending where they fit
@ there’s a big difference. Kazuha and Furina buff characters, Nahida buffs dendro, which is nicher. Also, looking at DPS since Fontaine, both Kazuha and Furina are used in most of them, whilst Nahida isn’t But yes, he also says Kazuha isn’t a must pull if that helps, the only character that he says is a must pull is Furina, and to be fair she is way more versatile since she can buff literally anyone (and hydro is the most versatile element )
@@levi3248well that niche is AMAZING for newer/f2p players. My alhaitham nahida quickbloom comps melts opponents in the spiral abyss. Agree with Furina tho. Not great for complete beginners, but amazing for mid/endgame players.
Lyney is vastly underestimated since his best team is essentially the same thing as neuvillette's team with the caveat that you can use bennett and furina together
@@critanddam9031wtf Lyney is one of the top speed runners who told you he’s mid??? In fact he started the new whole trend of speed running in Fontaine as the first broken dps of the region until neuvi but neuvi isn’t speed running
@@Marz333 if you literally look at any of the past abyss’ you’ll see that he literally takes the same cost to speed run in the same time as someone like hutao 💀 Im not saying he’s bad, but lyney speedrunning potential only is really good w constellations in the past he was doing fine w like 3-5 cost teams but now he needs way more
why i feel Neuvillette is objectively the best unit in the game: 1. simplicity as his skill and burst are more or less identical the burst is just *more of it* and are just fuel for his charge attacks. 2. exceptional range and can be abused with spinning even if i don't use it (but hey, we got a free 10 pull when they tried to nerf it and rolled it back) 3. Hydro is an excellent element to fall back on, Hydro is the core of most elemental reactions so if he gets power crept by pure numbers he can fall back to reactions. 4. cannot indirectly nerf him without gutting half the cast in the game so no Venti situation here, and hydro immune enemies are hardly the solution when he can function in a Dendro team. 5. fully self sustaining and can clear floor 12 abyss fast enough by himself to 36 star but inflating health pools might make him require a team eventually.
Best DPS maybe but best unit is a stretch. The best units with the most longevity in genshin have typically been supports. Bennett is a 1.0 and kazuha is a 1.6 unit that to this day have not fallen off whereas DPSes that were once "the best DPS" or "unpowercreepable" got powercrept like Ganyu, Raiden, Alhaitham. It is important not to fall into this trap that a DPS cannot be nerfed when the funniest way to make Neuvillette irrelevant is to make hydro immune enemies or make a stronger DPS like they did with every new region.
@@hollow.shadowyeah but as he said they cant nerf neuvillete without making half of the cast un usable or making hydro as an element completely irrelevant.
@@sohambhogale7700 Mihoyo did the exact thing to cryo with Ganyu and Ayaka lol. Cryo was basically made irrelevant for 2+ years and its still bad to this day. If they want to nerf Neuvillette, they can and will make hydro irrelevant or just make a better DPS than Neuvillette entirely.
@@hollow.shadowcryo is more a damage dealer element so its can be nerfed without other elements effect but hydro an reaction element enter in other elements so its hard to ignore a sold element like hydro without other elements effect
I think the devs are really good at balancing the game, most of the dpses are close enough to where you can pick your favourite and not feel bad about it. Like this abyss, I could have used Arlecchino overload on the 2nd half cleared with ease but i decided to use Kinich. It did take a few retries especially in 12-1 2nd half but I was able to clear it but more importantly I had a ton of fun playing him.
Units 2.0 onward are balanced decently but still there are massive gaps between units especially with cons, Arlecchino c2 is superior to many c6 dps units and thats insane to think about. This doesn't matter but if we are being real the balance is iffy, the game being singleplayer with slow powercreep is why people wouldn't really notice
i'm a 1.0 player so I've seen the highs and lows. As someone who didn't have the archons at their heights of meta usage, it's amusing seeing people saying in comments that you should only pull Raiden if you're going all the way to c2 because she's worthless otherwise. And now I'm starting to see the same thing with Nahida. Genshin has planned obsolescence and some people *really* fall for the trap. Example: Everyone jokes that cryo is locked in the basement. Part of that problem is because it didn't work with dendro. But after almost 2 years of dominating abyss, cryo needed a break. It also ensured dendro meta wouldn't carry into 6.0. Two problems solved at the same time. Genshin has an abundance of 5 star hydro units and some of them *will* face a hard wall to sell the new meta. As it was pointed out, Spiral Abyss has always been about selling the banner and it's harder to do that if you can solo a side with long existing mono hydro characters. Doesn't mean Neuvillette, Furina, Kazuha, Yelan isn't a stupid strong team with individually stupid strong characters. Honestly, I think that's why Mualani and Neuvillette are catalyst users, to make them kind of unusable in Snezhnaya. Here's what I imagined as an enemy as a Not Game Dev: Enemy XYZ gains cryo shield if hit by hydro. Enemies shield strength based on a players total HP. That makes +40k HP hydro characters practically unusable and incentivized burning, overload, and melt meta. It mays seem ridiculous, but Ayaka's birthday is Genshin's anniversary, and it didn't stop them from shelving cryo. Zhongli's is the Archon of the region based on China, and they introduced rift hounds to stop his dominance and sell healers. As much as Hoyo love their characters, they love selling the new ones more. :D Yeah, so that's why you should play who you want.
Just wanted to say I love your style of videos and content man. I've been looking for some more in-depth Genshin discussion content and your channel is exactly what I was looking for. Keep up the good work!!
4:02 no character will be able to do the highest damage in all scenarios. No matter how well you build your Neuvillette, he will never be able to beat a hydro slime without assistance. Edit: fuck autocorrect
I got nothing much to add to this discussion, all I'll say is that Genshin's meta is an ever changing cycle of who's still strong, who's still strong but had fallen in power a little, and those who've simply fallen off of their podium due to changes in the meta
genshin meta is very support character based too, some top meta teams are made of support-only characters and you could have the best dps of the game and it'll still kinda suck without another 3 support boosting the dmg
@@amitchowdhary2935 I didn't. I don't play her solo in Abyss. But you can do that. There are videos on YT of people clearing Abyss 36* only using C0R0 Arle and Neuvi. Besides, I have C6R1 Arle. Her teammates are there for emotional support more than anything else already. Only content I had to use more than her to clear are the new Legends.
@@mihacimpric745 It was you who said arlecchino is doing 100k NA while running solo. Now u r saying that u don't really play her solo in abyss. Btw how many 100k NA did she hit. 1 or 2?
@ You do realize other places than Abyss exist, right? Abyss isn't even accurate since it gives considerable buffs. Also, I told you to go look it up, and you'll see my claims are correct. Or do you not know how to type something in the search bar? To answer your first question, mine usually hits around 130-140k in the first 3-4 hits, and then averages 60-70k until the skill is recast. That is solo. With supports she hits NAs well in excess of 250k. P.S. I told you she's basically solo in the Abyss. I switch to the supports maybe once or twice per floor. That is if anything still lives after the first 30 seconds.
In my eyes power mostly comes from consistency. Since i don't speedrun or really care about about clear times all that much, for my personal playstyle aggravate what i think of when i think of power. Not because of the raw damage output but the consistency of it. There hasn't been a single abyss where aggravate didn't work on either side, and it's also very effortless to play so i play it every single abyss. Yae aggravate is my most played team and the team i'm most comfortable playing, but it's nowhere close to my fastest clearing or strongest team available to me. Tldr what's important to me is consistency and ease of use rather than sheer DPS and clear times
I've gone through almost a year of abyss cycles with my Wanderer, both sides clears on 36, and all it says is that he is strong unit on the account with lots of support options. Or that i just like to use him in this type of content, which doesn't make him overpowered in general. Same goes for Clorinde, strong but completly optional, even though i like her playstyle. I like, when going for comfort and favorite teams wins over "just use this op char to make 10 min 12 floor into 7". And even for what?
Reliability and ease of use has always been what im after, its thr main reason why Hu Tao was my main dps for so long until Arlecheno came out and its also the reason as to why I didn't pull Mulani dispite her power as her play style felt clunky to me especially compared to Neuvillette
Zajef (theorycrafter and content creator) talks sometimes about how he only started making videos because after Jinx and Tuner left, there was less easily-accessible accurate information getting shared around TH-cam. They were absolute legends.
@@Kyle81290 Yeah but he's biased towards practicality for low-spending or f2p players that want to consistently clear Abyss, which I find pretty helpful
This is why I watched TGS, Flip and Jstern25 since Zajef nowadays is biased and some of his takes is questionable (C6 Xingqui > C6 Yelan take omegalul)
The Primordial Duo of Theory Crafting and Meta talk... How long has it been since I heard those names God what I'd give to here them talk about the Monstrosity that is Neuvillette
I view “power” in the sense of the entire term more so than individual characters more often than not. I like options. There’s a lot of characters stronger than Yoimiya, but Yoimiya also has a lot of teammates that she can get and give buffs to that she can still tear through enemies. I have the same feelings about Nilou. Every dendro and hydro that comes out adds to how powerful and useful her team is in any given situation to the point she has teams that aren’t bloom but hurt.
Funny thing I learned recently: I have a speedrunner friend who enlightened me that Aloy paired with C6 Shenhe is theoretically the best DPS in the game for speedruns. Wild? Yeah.
People wo Saw The Recent Showcase of a C6 Mulani Doing 3.3 Million DMG and Beating the Day 3 Event (Snorlax) of 10 Million HP in 3 hit. And thinks that that's my Mulani and is the best Character in the Game are just Clueless Delusionists. Because i have encountered some people who brags that Mulani is the greatest character ever in genshin who can defeat a 10 Million HP boss in 10s (3 hits) To context they don't own that C6 Mulani but act as its theirs mulani. Absolute Delusional
I mean she is still good at c0 too I get like 400-500k per bite I would say she is not the best char but still top3 for me( only because of in consistent vapes, not enough Pyro )
I personally value engagement with the character's playstyle a lot more than their power. Neuvillette for example has pretty much the best numbers in the game, but I'll never pull him because I find him super boring. His core mechanics are basically just point and click, and there's not really any tech to engage with, in addition to him just not being all that interesting to build, since so much of it boils down to stacking HP.
For me, the true definition of power (in Genshin) is versatility. Neuvillete and Arlechinno are strong because they do a lot of damage and are easy to use. Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Fischl are strong because they can apply off-field elemental damage. Furina, Kazuha, Xilonen and Bennet are strong because they buff stats/damage. I think I can safely say that the strongest character archetype would be the buffer/debuffer, especially when restrictions are very low or non-existent. Furina requires health up/down (healing), Xilonen/Kazuha shred res and boost damage (skills and venerer/cinder city sets), Bennet buffs attack (only inside the circle), Zhongli gives shield and res shred, etc; most of them are "splashable" in any teams (with or without reactions). Personally, I think Bennet is the most versatile character in the game: 4* character, shop character, 12s duration with 15s cd, healing, buff any attack scaler, easy to build, splashable. It's not for nothing that it's still playable since 1.0
Artificial/alternate difficulty is very common in genshin in the form of elemental shields and resistances so I hold the belief that targeting the strongest units and trying to make them even stronger is simply the wrong play having more team options is better than having better teams
I saw a Mualani main wrote an essay on the comment section why Mualani is better than Neuvillette... If that doesn't scream delusional power.. then I don't know what is
I mean... thats right. The only bad thing Mualani has is that she is difficult to play, and in top of that she doesnt even have a BiS team like neuvillette. At the end it depends on who you like the most, i main both so xd
@@itshaha3726 Damage isn't everything.. Neuv has so many other utilities and versatility and on top of that he is good in speedruns as well plus he is pretty much untouchable in AoE (exception being Xiao)..Neuv is just the best dps in the game and I don't think Mualani even compares to him at all.. However I do think for speedruns and stuff , Mualani is the best carry but Neuv is just a better character..
Pyro and Hydro teams have consistently dominated the meta since the beginning. Nahida is a really strong unit that is stuck in the dendro niche. Dendro teams are good because they don't need the best supports like Furina, Kazuha, Xilonen, maybe even Bennett. But in terms of DPS, dendro teams like alhaitham have fallen behind Pyro and Hydro teams since Fontaine. Nahida is still good, just not as needed as supports that go in way more teams.
@@amitchowdhary2935 It proves my point that Alhaitham quickbloom is popular since it doesn't need Neuvillette's BIS supports Furina Kazuha Xilonen. Thats why the "top 3" Alhaitham team was using XQ instead of Furina. Your mind is gonna be blown when you find out Neuvillette, Arlecchino and Hu Tao have higher DPS Teams than Alhaitham's strongest comp.
@@yoiko89 usage rate ≠ strength, it's cool that hyperbloom is really popular but the fact of the matter is there are better teams you can play. Usage rate more often than not is a popularity contest which is why you take it with a grain of salt.
Hmm. I see where is this coming from. Since u mentioned hu tao in this, u must have watched the iwtl speedrunning video. People like you r living in delusion, idk y u guys defend characters after watching there C6 speedruns. When they themselves only have those characters at C0. C0 neuvilette does around 50k ticks with his charged attack with BIS supports. In alhaitham team only hyperblooms does 30k damage.
The answer to what is power in genshin is actually simple. Whatever your favorite design, that is who is most powerful. They have the power to make you spend primogems and in some cases your wallet and nothing is more powerful than money.
Just get the strongest supports/sub-dps with a few constellations Nahida C2 Furina C2 to C6 if you can (best vertical investment you can make in the game) Kazuha C1 to C2 (for some reason I like doing his E 3 times with Sac Sword) Xilonen C0-C2 R1 Then any characters you play with them will be good enough to clear abyss with ease. The other characters I like are the ones that do automatic E skill damage. Yae Miko ,Emilie,Deyha at C2... People playing Childe international are really coping and telling everyone else they have skill issues. I have him benched permanently from day 1.
From my observations, meta in the general community has always been a mix of Ease of Use/Flexibility/Damage. Mualani is the Hydro Ceiling, but Neuvillette is easier to use and more flexible while having comparable damage. Lyney is an insanely good Pyro DPS, but he has less team diversity than Arlecchino and is harder to play. It's important to acknowledge everything in a meta discussion, which is something I try to do as much as I can. To me, I'll keep up with the meta to be informed and give out reliable information, then proceed to throw it out the window in my account because I'm past my National Trio Phase back in 2.X and 3.X. I am here to have fun clearing every abyss with a Heizou team, he's not the best but he is the king of my heart. I love him a lot, and I know other people love their favorite characters as much as I do, hence why I try to keep up on top of everything to give fellow simps some good words of advice.
Best message you gave towards the end that these pitiful elitist meta trash players are too inept to understand. To be clear again with what I said, "elitist" meta players, not all meta players as a whole. The ones specifically that are more stubborn, arrogant and pathetic to the point where they "have" to follow the meta and will belittle and call out anyone who uses non-meta characters for fun or don't have them maximized in doing godly damage numbers are the biggest problem in any community.
Power comes from your endeavors on building those characters based from their role that you want for your party and proper weapon and artifacts set for that role
I just think that your content is very very underrated. I think more people should see your videos, I find that you have very valuable insight and you tend to explain said insight very well. Although I can understand being very busy, with having a job and attending university (as do i) I commend you for the work that you do, and I appreciate that you post these videos
2:58 Saw a floor 12 top half 30s total speedrun where Xinyan's only purpose was to apply pyro to let Mualani one shot with a vape. Xinyan was only level 70, irrelevant unleveled weapon, Archaic Petra to give damage bonus off of Xilonen's hydro crystalize, C4, no talents leveled... XINYAN WAS S TIER ALL ALONG BABY MOST BUSTED UNIT IN THE GAME
Pure damage numbers, ease of use, viable team mates. Of course this slightly changes between supports and damage dealers but a support still gets extra points if they can support every damage dealer AND deal damage themselves while not really demanding much support (Furina)
Neuv can be dealt with... Anyone can. All they have to do is increase the damage req's. Maybe the next region would be too soon...maybe...but they can always do it in the region after that and all would be fine. They might also do what they did with Cryo and make more Hydro-resistant (not necessarily Hydro-immune) enemies in newer regions. The only consequence is that it would allow the newest people rolling on that banner to absolutely WIPE anything in the game right up to that region, but it's never really power that holds you back in this game. It's time-gates, resource-gates, and RNG.
jinjinx and tuners brand of getting data is krmmo based as in they field test the character and not just run the numbers That's why their data was so hard to go againts It's not just numbers it has field variables included from piloting ease to how the content is supposed to be done (i think in 1 stream when zhongli was released they said you dont outlast the abyss content to do them you kill it) god i miss them
I personally define power in 4 categories as a small meta CC. 1-flexibility(the point you mentioned, how universal is X character? How many teams do they work in? How many of said teams are META or are at least high damage?) 2- comfort/QOL(how easy are they to use? Do they have some clunky or hard gameplay?? Is their skill expression essential to their damage or is it an extra?) 3- uniqueness/irreplaceablity(if you dont have said unit, how much damage do you lose? How bad is it to NOT have that unit on certain teams?) 4- damage(how much damage they do,this is the least important metric in my eyes cause the DPS checks arent too bad except for this current abyss, but it's still a thing to consider)
Obviously you dont have to agree with me but i just believe QOL is really important,so if a character does lots of damage but is hard to play or just feels awful to play i don't consider them good(as an example, mualani is considered generally a top 5 DPS but i think she's only a contender for the 5th slot and she's the worst one in that part purely because of her gameplay)
for me what's THE BEST are those that allow you to clear content FAST and with MINIMAL effort.. cuz at the end of the day what matters is you clear it early without having to think too hard or have to memorize a long combo.. like why bother? LOL
To me : Simplicity and/straightforward to play. Arlle double Geo. Mualani Hypercarry, Clorinde Aggravate personally feels so strong to me because it's so easy to pilot. No need to swirl just build my character with the right stats, picking right teammates and play simple yet effective rotation.
I can't believe that Mr Soul/Leech starts to appreciate Genshin's meta growth after experiencing how Honkai Star Rail being a bit closer to powercreep fest Honkai Impact lol Rip in pepperoni-META Jingliu, she will be remembered alongside Kingyuan I mean Midyuan I mean Jingyuan I mean Idk I'm not even sure how HSR is going to handle sooo many characters releases stacked on top of killing characters' relevancies at almost non-stop pace, even in pure fiction lol
Gotta say, I still like my Neuvillette team a lot, especially with addition of Xilonen to it. It's also arguably my most invested in team, since Neuvillette, Furina and Xilonen are all C1 and Xilonen even has her signature. It's consistent, it's reliable, it doesn't require me to do something weird like animation cancel (I hate that technique idealogically, it low-key feels disrespectful to the animators who made those animations and it's bothersome, so I'm never going to use it even if it improves a character's performance). Moreover, the idea of just spraying enemies to death with a hydro blast just feels me with joy to this day. Idk, I don't get bored playing Neuvillette. I do play other teams, of course, but generally I prefer simpler playstyles, where I can just get buffs and go ham on the enemy. My favourites are Arlecchino teams (double hydro and overload with Chevreuse), Navia plunge with Xianyun and I used to play Alhaitham Aggravate or Hyperbloom quite a lot, but I don't anymore, since my Navia and Arlecchino teams usually do better. I don't have Nahida on main, but even on my archons account I generally prefer to use Baizhu. I don't like sustainless teams one bit and putting Nahida, Alhaitham AND Baizhu just always felt redundant, so I would just go without Nahida. With Nahida my other issue is that I don't actually like her design or personality all that much, she's alright to me, but not my favourite character or archon. I generally tend to dislike loli model, too. It's uncomfortable to play. Maybe because I play on mobile, I'm not sure.
Fr. I also have Neuvillete c1r1 kazuha c0r1 furina and Xilonen. And this team is so cracked and strong. Also as u said the idea of blasting enemies with hydro pump is so much fun that I always use Neuvi everywhere I can. In overworld abyss etc. I also have arle vape team but neuvillete feel so much more fun than spamming na. Also like I usually put all my important supports on other side of abyss cuz my other teams aren't as much reliable so before natlan my neuvillete used have some awkward random 4 star team like diona fischl . I use furina xilonen on navia team and Kazuha on arle team. Still my neuvillete is so reliable than others that he is more likely to clear his side of abyss even with random team mates. Now since I have sucrose and jean for vv and kachina for hero set I can actually get even better clear on neuvillete's side with neuvillete kachina jean/kazuha, furina/diona depending on which dps Im running on other side
Great points. Meta players will downplay all flexible units value unless they are the best at damage in this one Niche. Ayato example, super flexible does everything just not heals. Yet the doom posting and shit talk because he doesn't have Nuv damage. You can put him in litteraly any team that cares about hydro and he'll do work.
I judge a unit's strength by how easy it is to build a team, flexibility and performance at c0. For example I dont consider c0 eula a strong character but yelan definitely is. Unit's that feel clunky or require certain supports to function are labor of love units not bad but you know you gotta put in extra work to achieve or attempt to rival strong units.
I think the strongest characters are felixable and decent at lowish investment (c0 c1 maybe their signature if you love them). And by flexible I mean can be used against groups and single targets, played in quickswap or hypercarry, and or has extremely good utility for supporting teams. Also in the Jello video I think his consensus wasn't that Nahida was bad now. But her best teams haven't really changed. She's still amazing but if all you're using her for is Dendro application there are other characters (such as Alhaitham and Emilie) who do Dendro application very well. In Burning, Burn-Melt and Burn-Overload teams my Emilie is signficantly stronger than my Nahida. But Nahida is still better in Bloom, Hyperbloom and Burgeon teams.
For me the real OP characters are the enablers, sure it's nice to see a DPS like Nauvi but I prefer Fischl, XQ, Bennett, Furina, Xilonen, Faruzan, Chev, Nahida, Kazuha, Xianyun, et all Characters than enable others to do more damage or allow a new play style for old characters is what I judge as power. Diluc dates back to the game launch and yet it's now viable and very strong thanks to Xianyun, all characters that attack off field like XQ, Yelan, Raiden, Fish et all, and every character that can boost a specific element or in general, I helps F2P that aren't pulling for every new DPS.
Honestly genshin characters feel like their power comes more from elements than anything else. If you see a new character come out and their cryo it’s almost certainly mid. If you see a geo dps it’s like a 50/50 they’re good. Animo you say? Hit the gamble, the character can be cracked like kazuha or be shit like wanderer. It’s why my first thought when I saw chasca leaks was “ooooo animo bow dps…..yikes”.
Not exactly true. There's characters of certain elements that go for a mono element playstyle which basically doesn't rely on elemental reactions. There's characters like neuvillette and arlecchino who do insanely well without needing vaporizes. Geo has kinda been a hit or miss, well it's hard to say since the last DPS before Navia was Itto and the was good. We never had a true geo dps before him. We just gotta wait til snezhnaya, there'll prolly be that one cryo dps that doesn't need melt or freeze and does insanely well without them. Problem here is hoyo just completely neglected cryo characters, both old and new. Otherwise it may have been fine.
Not at all, its their kit not their element. Mona has a better element than bennett, but bennett has the better kit so bennett is a way better buffer. In fact, bennett can be cryo and people would still play bennett over mona. Xilonen is the textbook example of why element matters way less than kit. Not long ago geo was the "worst element in genshin impact" but that didn't stop Xilonen from being a top tier support.
yeah jello also number 1 glazer of raiden and clorinde, nothing is wrong with that i guess.., but of course he will be biased towards them, he even put raiden/clorinde above alhaitham, what define power? it depends, f2p, dolphin, whale, had different opinions and view.. edit: this is what make the game good i guess, so much diversity in gameplay, so much team to use, unlike star rail. another w vid from mr leech
I pulled for c2 nahida (f2p BTW) and I'm not feeling scammed because she is the best friend from my favorite dendro character tignary , and also good in bloom , what else can I ask
Tbh with you…. There isn’t a real answer as it differs from person to person. I can only say (for me and me only) “X” team I like because of simplicity, complexity, etc, etc. besides… META? I laugh, I SPIT on wtvr is META and build my own way, because idc. Idc wtvr the whole world tells me. It’s my game, my money, my console and I’ll play however I like regardless of what I choose. Why am I saying this you ask? Gud question. In addition to Genshin, I play 2 other games where meta dosent really matter. (Not gonna specify becaz of format and type) and the rule of thumb is: pick what you like, build it to the best of your ability, and enjoy the game how you feel like it. SIMPLE! It’s not complicated, it’s just people make it complicated.
Its very easy to distinguish the best dps characters right now (neuvi arlecchino navia) but then after that it becomes very hazy and thats when debates start. Because again if you look at “optimized” rotations then maulani nilou or hutao can be the best but its unrealistic for 90% of players. And its even more cringe when people talk about supports. Yelan is considered to be one of the best subdps characters but not every character uses her like i play yae and wanderer, i don’t like to use yelan with them, same thing can be said about kazuha, furina and nahida. Like if you play arlecchino and mono geo then furina and nahida are kinda useless to you. So whenever someone posts a video about a subdps/support it is super controversial unless the content creator is an abyss tournament player which there are a lot of. They usually evaluate the characters in a different light, they explain teams and ceilings of those teams. Like for example nahida. A nahida video would usually be structured like this Nahida is used in nilou, yae, alhaitham, clorinde, double hydro hyperbloom and etc teams, this is what her damage contribution is in these teams, these are teams where you want to burst, these are teams where her burst doesnt matter and this is where its a dps loss, now lets see how much worse these teams will be without nahida and then they show the calcs for average dps with 5star weapons and with 4star weapons. Then its common to evaluate weapons and artifacts. But yeah, this is the type of content that is much more valuable to players than just biased opinions. And thats what really triggers me about these feelcrafters who think characters are bad just because they feel that way whilst playing on whale investment accounts with all characters, infinite resin, 5 star weapons and constellations. And thats me referring to jello impacts video. Like lmao emilie is good, sure, but she only works with 2 dps characters, maulani and kinich both of which are cringe to play because of how inconsistent they are and are not the best dpses in the game. Besides their teams require constellations or 5star weapons to do good damage, AND nahida has like 20 different teams which are all just better and like 10 times cheaper to build because they can all be farmed in one domain, they use favs and have are not reliant on crits as much. Nilou, alhaitham, yaemiko, hyperbloom, burgeon and so on. In addition emilie really wants her signature weapon and if you don’t have it or you are not whaling 200-300 bucks on each banner like these content creators are then your emilie will be doing 40% less damage. Like wtf. You are just giving newer players awful advice and misinformation. Whatever i guess this has been happening forever and you cant lose in this game thats why none of this critic really matters
true... take mualani, for exemple... she's the only char that can deal 4 million damage in 1 hit, yet as said in the video, neuvillete is still considered the best. some say navia is better then noelle. i say noeele is better because she can heal and have a shield along with her high dps. some say kirara is shit. yet i spam her burst along with keqing's doing great in abyss. from my point of view, strength in genshin ain't about who clear the abyss the fastest. there's too much luck involved for that. winning at lottery isn't "hard". it's luck based. getting a crit is luck based... not hard. getting good sub stat is luck based. not hard. upgrading the right sub stat is luck based. not hard. boosting the right character's constellation is also based on luck. al these criteria makes fast abyss clears, not based on strenght, but on luck, more then otherwise. sure. a neuvillete can deal more damage then a nilou easily, but in one of my first imaginarium clear, i remember that the "ending screen" said that my nilou dealt the most damage. not my friend's neuvillete, which used neuvillete's own weapon, had talents at 10-10-10 and c1. meanwhile, my nilou was at 9-9-9, c0 and her sword was the forgeable sword of fontaine (r5). then, there's the matter of players themselves. look at it this way... put a guy who never drove in his life in a marvel of technology of a racing car and a ace race pilot in a rusty old car about to break... one is well equiped (whale), but will he crash in the first turn? the other is experienced, but will his crappy car be able to cross the finish line? put the best char in a begginers hands and he may be much less dangerous for the ennemies then a vet player with a candace, anemo traveler, dori and lisa. then again, that vet player will only be more dangerous until the characters die. for exemple, how many alhaytham players can do "this". if they can't, it doesn't mean alhaytham is a shitty character, but if their alhaytham can't do what a mere geo lumine can, the problem ain't about the character. it may be the luck or the lack of upgrades or... the player controling him. th-cam.com/video/pXmtdobZsPI/w-d-xo.html
The most powerful thing in all of Genshin is using at least 2 braincells. If you can do that you can clear spiral abyss with characters you like. Or use Neuvillette with half a brain cell I guess 😂
That defeats the purpose of this discussion tho. No need to insult people for liking a strong character just because ur fav is weak. The point of strong characters is that most people have lives and dont want to dedicate their entire life on a game to build one character and spend so much resources on it just to make it usable
neuvillette deal more dps in single target than mualani(100k at c0 with all team buff, mualani with team deal only 90k at c0), the only thing that she is better than him is nuking and as a result of it speedruning
Which calcs are you even referring to? These kinds of DPS/DPR calcs in a vacuum aren't meaningful because they leave out a lot of details or alternative set ups. For example a jstern25 Xilonen chart that's been floating around shows 105k DPS for Mualani & 95k for Neuvillette. Dropping vague DPS/DPR numbers doesn't really say much.
@@mettaursp309 you're kinda right, but jstern25 was wrong about mualani, you can't make all 3 hits vape in conditions where the furina's summons are hiting and appling gydro, so either they need to be turned off (which will lead to a loss in DPS) or lose 1-2 vapes from mualani(her team in this point will deal 80-90k dps) You are right that this calcs in a vacuum,in reality you can miss some vapes from mualani,or do only 2 hit's because enemies are far and you need to spend some nightsoul's point to get to them, however neuvillette doesn't have these problems.
@@daimos8594 The original statement in a vacuum is also misleading, because Mualani has much higher upper end scaling once you start going past C0. Neuvillette can't vape a good chunk of his hits, so can't really benefit very well from a whole multiplier in the form of forward vape damage + the amplifying reaction multiplier from EM, while Mualani gets full benefit from it. The growth rate on the upper end of Mualani's damage formula is much greater as a result, and we've seen this play out in high end challenge runs where a large gap forms between the two. My whole point was that the original statement was misleading because everything is situational. In general the statement is false.
I've never 36 starred the abyss. Got Alhaitham/Yelan/Nahida/Kuki and Hu tao/Xinquiou/Kazuha/Bennet as my main teams. Jello still has nahida in tier 0. Its more bloom style reactions like hyperbloom nilou bloom and burgeon haven't gotten any support. Also, it's been a lot of multi wave, which nahida sucks at. She's still good, but her value is dropping. It's not a steep cliff pit fall like venti, but it is going down.
there is no meta in genshin, Just dumb players. im clearing the abyss with barbara, Furu clears the abyss with amber but still there are some players on Reddit posting "i cant clear 12-3 Full star 😢" and their teams are Neuvillette Xilonen + Arlechino Bennett. Genshin is not a Race, the team which clears in 13s is getting the same rewards as the one clearing in 2:30s. people have to start playing what they like and How to make It work instead slapping what some youtubers called "meta" and expecting automode
Disagree with Jinjinx & Tuner being GOAT-ed. Jinx was doing real number crunching at a time when nobody else was, so credit where credit's due, but Tuner was such a piece of garbage that I never wanted to hear anything about the duo. Also, they had a number of really hot takes, one of which basically became Jinx's legacy. I'll agree they did more for the game than, say, DemoneKim, but Jinx was at best the greatest for his time (by lack of worthy competition) than of all time.

Which i say at 0:28 and repeat again at 1:35
To all the people in my comments trying to claim this video is me trying to debunking Jello because I brought up their video for 30 seconds of a 10 minute video, this time stamp is for you 1:16

to be quite fair jello didn't say that she is weak or has fallen off, but said that she is starting to fall off ever so slightly, but we all know that you can 36 star with barbara. dendro mc, collei and kuki so its whatever
He or she has none of that
Besides, Nahida was made for specific teams. If any team goes outside her line of work then what is she gonna do? DUH! Nothing!
the only teams she isnt the bis dendro character are teams with emilie/ burn teams

To be fair, he did make a clickbaity title. In the video he says that Nahida is still T0 and one of the strongest characters in the game, he just doesn’t think she’s AS strong as she was and she isn’t a must pull anymore

I remember you from the "most evil characters" debate about Childe, nice to see you again!
Demn tier 0 is she that bad now ?
Bro if Nahida isn’t a must pull than neither are Furina and kazuha they are like the core of their elements and bring every team to their max potential depending where they fit
@ there’s a big difference. Kazuha and Furina buff characters, Nahida buffs dendro, which is nicher. Also, looking at DPS since Fontaine, both Kazuha and Furina are used in most of them, whilst Nahida isn’t
But yes, he also says Kazuha isn’t a must pull if that helps, the only character that he says is a must pull is Furina, and to be fair she is way more versatile since she can buff literally anyone (and hydro is the most versatile element )

why i feel Neuvillette is objectively the best unit in the game:
1. simplicity as his skill and burst are more or less identical the burst is just *more of it* and are just fuel for his charge attacks.
2. exceptional range and can be abused with spinning even if i don't use it (but hey, we got a free 10 pull when they tried to nerf it and rolled it back)
All this essay for that boring point and click 😭

Yeah, so that's why you should play who you want.
Hehe I can't wait the new meta
I got nothing much to add to this discussion, all I'll say is that Genshin's meta is an ever changing cycle of who's still strong, who's still strong but had fallen in power a little, and those who've simply fallen off of their podium due to changes in the meta
genshin meta is very support character based too, some top meta teams are made of support-only characters and you could have the best dps of the game and it'll still kinda suck without another 3 support boosting the dmg

There’s a lot of characters stronger than Yoimiya, but Yoimiya also has a lot of teammates that she can get and give buffs to that she can still tear through enemies.
If that doesn't scream delusional power.. then I don't know what is
I mean he is kinda right...? Mualani has faster clear times than Neuvillette but is like 10 times more difficult to navigate
@@itshaha3726 and the amount of nuevi players do the exact same. just matters on what u value
I mean... thats right. The only bad thing Mualani has is that she is difficult to play, and in top of that she doesnt even have a BiS team like neuvillette. At the end it depends on who you like the most, i main both so xd
Lemme guess, is it deltaspecies?
@@itshaha3726 Damage isn't everything.. Neuv has so many other utilities and versatility and on top of that he is good in speedruns as well plus he is pretty much untouchable in AoE (exception being Xiao)..Neuv is just the best dps in the game and I don't think Mualani even compares to him at all.. However I do think for speedruns and stuff , Mualani is the best carry but Neuv is just a better character..
Genshin's meta for me is whatever character makes it so I don't have to think when clearing abyss
Powerful unit in Genshin
- Easy to Build
- Brainless to Play
- Highest synergy on a Team
- Biggest multiplier number
So Basically still Neuvilette
Pyro and Hydro teams have consistently dominated the meta since the beginning. Nahida is a really strong unit that is stuck in the dendro niche. Dendro teams are good because they don't need the best supports like Furina, Kazuha, Xilonen, maybe even Bennett. But in terms of DPS, dendro teams like alhaitham have fallen behind Pyro and Hydro teams since Fontaine. Nahida is still good, just not as needed as supports that go in way more teams.
U must be living under a rock. If you look at the 5.1 abyss clear usage rate, alhaitham quickbloom was still among the top 3 teams 😏
Nahida and Al haitham is still have highest count in spiral abyss usage
Nahida is just fine considering that dendro reaction teams didnt receive any targeted support in terms of artifacts or units for so long.
Just get the strongest supports/sub-dps with a few constellations
Nahida C2
Furina C2 to C6 if you can (best vertical investment you can make in the game)
Kazuha C1 to C2 (for some reason I like doing his E 3 times with Sac Sword)
Xilonen C0-C2 R1
Then any characters you play with them will be good enough to clear abyss with ease.
Very valid, the best characters/weapons/artifacts at any point in time are the ones you have.
It's time-gates, resource-gates, and RNG.
jinjinx and tuners brand of getting data is krmmo based as in they field test the character and not just run the numbers
That's why their data was so hard to go againts It's not just numbers it has field variables included from piloting ease to how the content is supposed to be done (i think in 1 stream when zhongli was released they said you dont outlast the abyss content to do them you kill it)
god i miss them
I cant believe you rates chongyin S tier too.. its almost like the meta is based off of my personal enjoyment
jinjinx and tuner, that is for sure a nam i havnt heard in a few years
I personally define power in 4 categories as a small meta CC.
1-flexibility(the point you mentioned, how universal is X character? How many teams do they work in? How many of said teams are META or are at least high damage?)
2- comfort/QOL(how easy are they to use? Do they have some clunky or hard gameplay?? Is their skill expression essential to their damage or is it an extra?)
3- uniqueness/irreplaceablity(if you dont have said unit, how much damage do you lose? How bad is it to NOT have that unit on certain teams?)
4- damage(how much damage they do,this is the least important metric in my eyes cause the DPS checks arent too bad except for this current abyss, but it's still a thing to consider)
I can't believe that Mr Soul/Leech starts to appreciate Genshin's meta growth after experiencing how Honkai Star Rail being a bit closer to powercreep fest Honkai Impact lol
Rip in pepperoni-META Jingliu, she will be remembered alongside Kingyuan I mean Midyuan I mean Jingyuan I mean Idk I'm not even sure how HSR is going to handle sooo many characters releases stacked on top of killing characters' relevancies at almost non-stop pace, even in pure fiction lol
clorinde will aways be my fav dps, she's just funny hot and badass simultaneously, honestly she's everything i wanted the electro archon to be
babe wake up- oh a mr leech upload.. im sorry babe go back to sleep im sorry
This video hits the nail on the head, that jello guy is just in some speedrunner brainrot echo chamber
for me true power in genshin is the amount of r 34 they have
Gotta say, I still like my Neuvillette team a lot, especially with addition of Xilonen to it.
Dori gameplay?
In 2024?
In a video about what makes a powerful character?
A bold strategy, sir
For me the real OP characters are the enablers, sure it's nice to see a DPS like Nauvi but I prefer Fischl, XQ, Bennett, Furina, Xilonen, Faruzan, Chev, Nahida, Kazuha, Xianyun, et all
Characters than enable others to do more damage or allow a new play style for old characters is what I judge as power.
Diluc dates back to the game launch and yet it's now viable and very strong thanks to Xianyun, all characters that attack off field like XQ, Yelan, Raiden, Fish et all, and every character that can boost a specific element or in general, I helps F2P that aren't pulling for every new DPS.
Meta Will Change in 5.3 don't worry about it.
Yeah hard to feel who is best when it takes a team.
There is harder content than abyss: getting platinum on combat events and those Natlan bosses

After i pulled for c2 nahida, now suddenly she isn't meta anymore 👍👍
F2p btw i feel scammed
@@mettaursp309 you're kinda right, but jstern25 was wrong about mualani, you can't make all 3 hits vape in conditions where the furina's summons are hiting and appling gydro, so either they need to be turned off (which will lead to a loss in DPS) or lose 1-2 vapes from mualani(her team in this point will deal 80-90k dps)
You are right that this calcs in a vacuum,in reality you can miss some vapes from mualani,or do only 2 hit's because enemies are far and you need to spend some nightsoul's point to get to them, however neuvillette doesn't have these problems.
100k neu and 90k mualani ? I bet that its 6 cost c0 neuvilette team vs 2 cost c0 mualani team 😂
@@shotkizz3274 it's cost 5 neuvillette vs cost 4 mualani 😂(btw neuvi could be cost 4 too, just replace xilonen to xiang lin)

7:10 doesn’t this literally just all depend on whether I care about dmg ceiling vs how easy it is to clear
Imma js say it and be real but the meta is Arle on 1 side and Neuvi on the other🤣

Nothing but facts
Kirara w/ Jade Cutter > Any other creatura
But neuvillette and furina are still the best tho :)
