    Thank you so much for your fast reply to my earlier post. After looking at the suggested videos I realize I definitely wasn't clear for what I'm looking for. I don't want a poncho, I want a cape with arm slits like the one in this video but I want a closed front. I would slip it over my head like a poncho but I want the style of a cape. I love your videos, the are so clear making it easy and fun to crochet. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.

    Hi from a ....mmm very unpredictable weather right now...Johannesburg south Africa. Very easy very straight forward amazing elegant and beautiful. Thank you. May i ask what is the stitch count for a medium large and xl and xxl if possible. I have taken on a personal project to make shawls for the ladies and the old age homes. I came upon the beauty and cannot resist it.
    Also big pls how about a pattern for a shawl more or less same as cape would be great.

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Johannesburg, South Africa! I'm so happy you want to make this pattern. However, making the different sizes requires more than simply telling you the starting chain. And for this design, the starting chain only determines the length as it is worked side to side. I would suggest that you purchase the pattern, if you are able, using the link in the comments above.

    I love this pattern but would like to change the opening from a front-open to a side-opening. Could you give the row count as to where to make the arm holes? Thanks!

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would you rather try this open sides cape instead? th-cam.com/video/a1XPwWR-RG4/w-d-xo.html

  • @tonipribnow5607
    @tonipribnow5607 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can the two front panels be stitched together so the front is closed like a poncho? I've been looking for a poncho pattern with arm slits but can't find anything. I like your cape and thought if I could close up the front that would be perfect. Is that possible?

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the question. I would not recommend trying to turn this particular design into a poncho. It has a "yoke" at the top that would not work with simply seaming down the center. I would suggest checking out a few of my other actual poncho designs either here on TH-cam or at my blog. There are several that could easily be seamed along the sides, rather than the center. That would be much easier to create armhole openings. Try these: th-cam.com/video/oJ3qbhZPcKw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/A1ymifzvDIE/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/pQCCyl9eM4Y/w-d-xo.html

    Your replica is a crazy cool idea❣️. Great pattern and thanks so much for making this easy peasy ❣️🧁🧁🧁. Which yarn would you recommend to replace acrylic (that stretches out after the dryer) and wool (which is too hot for the southeast)?

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So happy you like this. I guess you could try cotton. Since I didn't use any other yarn for this, and pretty much always use acrylic for my capes so they drape nicely, I don't know how that cotton would drape. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet

      The answer is in the video. You are working first for 48 rows, create the armhole, then work up to Row 183 and work the second armhole. 183 - 48 = 135.
