Yay! More yarn! I just made one of your vintage hats with yarn from Italy. It's beautiful! That was my 5th hat from your channel. All different. I'm 72 and put crochet away for a few years. I sew and quilt a lot. I have a huge garden and can and dehydrate in the summer. I keep busy! I also volunteer at school with 5th graders and math 3 days a week. Thanks for your wonderful videos!❤
I love Crystal's 'Bag-O-Day' land. It's such a happy land. ❤ The world may have gone crazy but life here is a delightful escape. Yarn, mystery bags, crochet tutorials, dogs popping into the background, fundraising to help animals, Freddie references, sweet family. So nice. Crystal your office/bedroom is actually how I fully intend to set up my bedroom at my house. It makes so much sense to have everything right at hand like that. My niece wants a mini fridge in her bedroom to go with her snack drawer so she doesn't have to leave her room while she studies (she also has her own bathroom). Her older brother would like a mini fridge because he likes gaming and also wants to have it all at hand same as his sister. See you are not alone nor are you weird for liking it like that. It's awesome!! We are all lucky to be able to do it. ❤

Unrelated to the video, I think I have an explanation to your love for roving yarn. I started working with it recently myself and I love it as much as you do! I have 3 main reasons I suspect you may love roving yarn that you might not even realize! 1) it glides over your fingers so much easier than plied yarn. I find that plied yarn simply doesn’t feel as nice gliding over my fingers while working with it compared to roving yarn. 2) roving has amazing stitch definition. Because of the nature of roving being one strand, stitches really pop with roving yarn in a way that plied yarn just can’t. 3) roving yarn’s “imperfect” texture hides actual imperfections well. In a plied yarn, if the yarn has a tear or a slubby spot (one of the plies is much thicker/thinner than usual) it’s very noticeable. Since the thick/thin texture is part of a roving yarn, these imperfections hide within roving yarn much nicer than they do in a plied yarn, where it’s very noticeable and frustrating. Hopefully this helps or gives some insight! Thanks to you, I can confidently say that roving yarn is now my first choice when looking for new yarn! ☺️
Hi Crystal! Great mystery boxes, Lion Brand is stepping up their game! I have a bunch of the Schitt's Creek yarn. They had it 6 for $12 a couple of times and once for $3 a ball. The only color I didn't get is the green, not a big fan of brighter greens more of an avacado, pea or sage green person too. Speaking of which did you ever put the other sleeve on the cardigan you showed us a couple weeks ago made with LB Hue+Me yarn? It looked beautiful so I bought the yarn with my bday money. Got the super deal at Joann's too! Thank you for all you do and for being you! 🤗💛
I liked all your mystery bags; it's definitely all nice yarn. I bought a Red Heart mystery box and got 6 skeins of scrubby yarn which I will never use so I was disappointed but I did resell them locally so I could recoup some of my money.
I am finally finishing my last project for a friend. Then I have oceans of scraps and yarn I ordered because I liked it but without a project in mind. I am committed to using up the acrylic scraps to make crate pads for the local humane society (furbabies don't care what colors I use, lol). It will be weeks before I'm caught up with that, then I'll start buying yarn again. I think. But I still like knowing what's available out there. Crystal, you make my day, every day.
