In this episode Leon gets crab legs for the first time, we check on Jett's surgery, find a rooster in the forest, and see what has appeared in the 125 gallon experimental aquarium. Lots of fun stuff!

5:30 Cool story: Domestic chickens were originally Forest Fowl from Asian/China. They lived in bamboo Forrest's and people figured out that they laid more eggs when more food was available. Really regularly too! So they caught a few and the chicken was born 🐓
So, yes. That forrest _is_ the chicken's natural habitat! Just on another continent

I'm so happy Jet got surgery and is free of his pain. In a few months he'll be zooming around as fast as all the other cats. ❤❤ Leon ❤❤ is looking fabulous, as usual! All the aquarium life in your tanks is so interesting and different.
Leons colors are really beautiful right now. The blue legs are a sight to see! ❤ and I'm so happy the kitty got her surgery and is recovering well. Thank you for getting her and her siblings a new home and a new life! I can't think of a better place to call home! ❤

Leon is looking so beautiful and colorful. Thank you for saving the kittens and fixing their mom. Jet will be just fine, I'm certain. It has to feel much better without the damaged leg. As sad as it is, he's just so wonderful.

I confess that for two weeks I have been checking *multiple times a day* to see if you'd uploaded another video. "What about Jet? What about Jet?!?" Whew! It's good to see him doing well.
When I first saw the mystery chicken visitor, her vertical tail indicated she's a junglefowl. Now, seeing that rooster, he's clearly junglefowl, probably the red species. That means someone bought them (or their grandparents) and they got loose. They have been forest dwellers for millions of years. They're definitely survivors and thrivers.
Just another installment of Leon, the little crabs, glass shrimp and kitties all living their best lives! I've been going through a rough time this Fall, and seeing this video helped cheer me up a lot.
Hey, thanks for stopping and checking on that rooster! I used to have pet bantam chickens, and would have appreciated someone doing the same if one or more had somehow gotten lost - they were very friendly and would have come right to you. I don’t know how that rooster got way out there, but I’m glad it looks like he’s thriving!
Someone may have purposefully dropped it off in the woods if they happened to live in an area that doesn't allow roosters (because of crowing) and couldn't find someone to adopt it.
Will they manage during the winter
@@maryroberts9315 I suppose it depends on the breed and how cold it gets in the area. Where I live, my bantam chickens would freeze without shelter.

I had a young cat get run over on the road near our farm. He was already living on the farm. His leg was so bad it had to be removed. So he then ended up an indoor cat. That was over 20 years ago and he passed away recently aged 22. Such a lovely cat. Thanks for all your uploads and your love of living things
Glad Jet is alright. And I feel it isn't a bad idea to give Leon something that lets him exercise his sense of caution occasionally like he did with the crab legs. It definitely would help him mentally in addition to the usual enrichment you do. It's natural for lobsters in the wild to be cautious, and I think we don't want Leon to become lazy and not caring about anything besides food.
It has been amazing how much Leon has grown since the first episode I saw him brought back to be raised . He has gotten so large and will keep growing bigger and get even bigger claws . Hope to see him again soon .
I remember how timid he was when he first arrived. He'd given up, he wouldn't even move his claws. I love how this guy has shown that lobsters are thinking, feeling beings that have likes and dislikes just like we do, they're not unfeeling bugs whose only purpose is to be overpriced human food.
The year is 2163, and a 150ft tall Leon dominates the horizon. He moves across the landscape repositioning construction equipment and digging deep pits into the Earth.

I was just thinking about Leon the other day. Glad that you have rescued other animals. We have 7 rescue cats- we go to the low cost clinic to have them spayed/ neutered.
Your city might have the trap and release program. They spay/neuter and cut the right ear. If you see the cats in Austin, Texas you know that they have been fixed. If one of the cats is sick or needs treatment you call the city. Our rats population has really gone down. Plus we are famous for our bats in Austin, Texas. Bet you never thought that you would be a cat and chicken daddy.

I remember when Leon's grocery store video first popped up in my recommended not long after it had been uploaded. Nothing about what I had been watching would indicate that the algorithm should suggest it, but I was like "Heck yeah I want to see this!" I've been here ever since, eagerly awaiting each new update. :)
I've been following Leon's progress from the beginning. Who would have thought watching a lobster grow and develop would be so fascinating? I also did my little part to help support Leon. I now enjoy my morning coffee from my Leon the Lobster coffee mug. 👍☕

Reminds me of a big old salt tank we had. All the expensive fish died in it during a few day power outage when we were out of town, But we left it running for years with no fish and it was amazing all the little creatures that showed up over the months - crab, shrimp, anemone, snails, even a small eel and some random tiny fish. Long before, my brother had gotten some 'live' rock someplace and it certainly turned out to be that.

I’m really enjoying watching your channel and have a suggestion for you. My cousin is the manager of the seafood counter at a grocery store. She said they occasionally get in damaged seafood. Things that aren’t spoiled but maybe broken or not well shaped. They just toss it. She mentioned if someone approached her she would gladly make arrangements to donate it for aquarium use. Just an idea.
Is it just me or the beached junk aquarium is one of the most interesting parts now?

I have been watching since the first video and still love getting a new Leon video. I really enjoy how the channel has grown to include the 125 gallon tank, it's like watching a small ocean develop. I also enjoy watching the kittens grow up and going along with you as explore old, abandoned, houses and back roads. At my age and health, I don't get out very much so I have fun on your dime.😁😁Glad Jett is doing so well and that Mama still lives happy, healthy and free.
Always good to see new Leon footage. His legs are getting very blue. And god bless you for taking such good care of Jet and giving him a solid chance for a happy life.

Leon has gotten so big, he looks so much healthier then he did when you got him from the store and his confidence is much better, when you first got him he literally looked like his spirit had been broken, claws taped, just waiting to die.....I hope on some level Leon knows you saved him. The ecosystem in your home is absolutely FASCINATING
I have a 3 legged cat, she's missing her right back leg. I named her Thump, because that is the sound she makes as she hops across the floor...thump, thump, thump, thump. She gets around the house very easily, climbs on the kitty condo and has zoomies every night...around 3 am.
Your little black kitty will be fine once everything heals : )

Love love love Crustaceans! I use to have a pet crawfish 🦞 named Rocky…had him for 6 years and enjoyed observing him. He was originally on my husband’s menu at the hotel, where he was the chef..
