" a noiseless single-coil isn't a single-coil at all, but a rather a humbucker"
very very agree....noiseless are quite different, I have a Nashville with the noiseless....I did not liked, the resonance and sustain are smaller compared with real single coil.... at the end I remoev de noiseless and installed tex mex....
Gotta have both
Agreed
Exactly
Cool
Thanks!
IMO how the signal that leaves the guitar is processed makes the difference. Now if youre running straight through an amp with no processing, then it makes a difference.
Totally agreed
The best of all worlds is an HSS strat with a tele single coil at the neck.
That sounds awesome
warm humbucker ftw
Nice! Thank you
It's a great video, tho unfortunately fundamentally flawed.
Noiseless single coil pickups are actually stacked coils , meaning they have two coils like a humbucker, only they are stacked on top of each other, and half as shallow, to fit them in a single coil plastic jacket.
They do, however, voice them as single coils, somehow, with their voodoo witchcraft!, so I totally get the oversight.
Unfortunately for you, it undermines your entire findings / position.
🤷♂️ OUCH!
I do think you could remake this video with a true single coil tele, and expect it to do well.
Or even make it a 3 way shootout:
• true Tele single coils
• Tele noiseless
• Tele humbuckers
Hey, thank you for your reply! Yes, I am aware that noiseless pick ups aren’t actually true single coils. I didn’t have a true single coil pick up on a telly to do a comparison. That is a great idea for another video though. Thanks for the feedback!
Sorry Single Coils rule.........
" a noiseless single-coil isn't a single-coil at all, but a rather a humbucker"
Yes. Technically I think it is a humbucker but still sounds like a single coil
