We've just sold our 4 acre property in Mt Evelyn, Victoria and are downsizing from 5 bedrooms to 2, and an office in Mooroolbark.
Big properties are like your boat.... a never ending pit to spend money!!!
Huge gum trees crashing down, cutting them up, buying 5 varying sizes of chainsaws, a 4wd tractor with a front end loader, a 50" ride on mower, brush cutter, whipper snippers, etc. Never stops!!! None needed at our small block, new house. No steps, no stairs for my wife etc, unlike here in Mt Evelyn.
So.... I feel for you!!! BUT... I will say this though.... 22 years of loving where we have lived, and the lifestyle it created. I'm sure Angst does the same for you.

Good luck sleeping tonight after smelling smoke on a boat! We had the genny self implode then an inverter self destruct almost causing the boat to burn. Thankfully quick thinking saved the day both times
And yeah boat batteries weigh a tonne! At least you can stand up in your engine room

My god Sam surely even you could have seen the impeller housing wasn’t cylindrical therefore meaning the rubber impeller would compress to increase water pressure through the cooling system.

hey sue & sam, love your daily updates and am disappointed if there's not more than one each day, but I guess I'm not the only one who has "aksed" this but give us a ball park figure what the costs have been so far, petrol alone i'm guessing is close to $10k but what about all the engine and anchor, and scooters, etc have cost?
