      @@theredrenard I used a 7.5mm hook but this comment was from 7 months ago and I’m now more experienced at crochet and I now realize a 7.5mm hook might have been too big for the yarn remember to always read the yarn label it gives a recommended hook size :)

    So I have just finished 11 rows and the head appears to be 1/3 of the whole head, while yours at the same row is about 3/4 of the whole head. What did I do wrong? I spent almost 3 hours until this part...
    When you increase you go through whole loop? Or just front loop? Does it even matter?
    I think that I just put my hook in the wrong chains when going in rows...

    • @meemj7030
      @meemj7030 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know this is reply is a bit late but I was trying to figure that out too. So basically if she says 2 SC, inc times 6
      It means you crochet one single crochet into the first chain, then one single crochet into the next chain, then when you get to the third chain you crochet 2 single crochet in the same chain. And then that cycle goes on, meaning you will crochet one single crochet again in the fourth chain, one single crochet in the fifth chain, then 2 single crochet in the sixth chain
      I hope this helps!

  • @OhmiyaStorm

    Is there a reason you need to pull the tail through one of the front legs I stead of just flipping it over? They will still be symmetrical by just..turning it over.

      6 single crochet in a magic ring followed by 6 increases in every round should give you a flat circle! That is exactly how you make a coaster. I don't know why in the video it starts rounding, but it seems you did follow the tutorial correctly.

      That’s the problem I’m having with the front legs. I followed it exactly but it keeps on curling and going into a ball shape

    Is it normal for the turtle head to be floppy and not stand up by itself? Every time I make a turtle the head after connected is still floppy. What am I doing wrong?

      When you see your head on, it leaves a gap, so before your head is fully closed add more stuffing

    I don't understand how to do round three i slowed it down and it was even worse. Could someone please explain it?

      For round three, you have to do SC then increase repeatedly. Like this, SC + Increase + SC + Increase + SC + Increase...and so on until the end. There must be 18 stitches in round three.
