The count still doesn’t add up. If we start with 8 stitches then we are adding eight stitches for each increase round so on round 4 we would have 32 then rnd 5 would be 40, rnd 6 would be 48. So do we stop increasing after round 6 then? That’s the only way to have 48 stitches for round 13…

I made a lemon turtle, following this tutorial and honestly its the only amigurumi im actually proud of making! Theres a few flaws i can point out but i dont mind as it was my first attempt. Thanks for inspiring me, i can't wait to make another!! ✨💕

Heyyy sorry for the late reply! So basically I did mine a bit differently. For the outside of the yellow shell I use white yarn to sew across to make lines if that makes sense to make it sort've look like the inside of a lemon! If you look up Kukkacrochet By Purtri, she has a "crochet fruit slices bag charm which is where I got the idea for the lemon part. I'll try to link the video below for you! 💞

I found this today, and I had to make one for myself! I had to use what I had, and it was made in worsted weight. Tell you what, STILL sooo cute, and I have used your links because oh yeah, I want a pillow one now for my guest bedroom! Thank you so much for sharing this for free! I am a complete beginner - just decided to try crochet out for the first time last week and after making a small blueberry, I decided to give this a go. Despite such a fantastic tutorial, I did have a bit of a fight with the shell section (it took me 3 days of crocheting/undoing/redoing to eventually realise I was putting the stitches in the wrong place...) but I got there in the end after carefully studying what you were doing with the video on superrrr slow-mo 😂 Almost finished now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills and for the challenge! This is such a cute project!

For the stem/leaves part, its easier if you make the stem first then make the leaves directly in to it. Just crochet continuously, no need to attach. Saves your time :)

Hey Genna! I love this tutorial and my turtle turned out so cute. I was just letting you know that there is a mistake in round 4 of the shell. The video says repeat 3 sc , inc 8 times when it only repeats 6 times. I love your content though ❤❤❤ 🧶

I wanted the head higher so had to attach half to the shell part and discovered it looks wayyy cleaner if you finish off by single crocheting with the shell colour over the connection area. It continues the ridge of the shell and looks so cutie!! 🐢✨

Hey Genna! I love your work and they always turn out super cute ❤ I just wanted to let you know that you sew the fins on the wrong way, the straight/angled edge is supposed to be facing the head but you sew the crocheted shut side closer
