    These look delicious. I make these with ground lamb meat but I've been looking for good vegetarian recipe for my daughter. If you have access to a grapevine, pick your own leafs because they are more tender and can be frozen for a year or two. I live in New England and June is the best time to pick leaves when they are young and tender.

    Wow, I also had a love affair with dolmade. Years ago I saw some vine leaves in a Greek deli in Raymond Terrace Brisbane and decided I would try making some. Unfortunately they were a big fail and I think that was partly because of the taste of the pickled vine leaves. Now I know to wash them first. I might give them another go.😊
