Fly Tying with Tellis Katsogiannos #9 Green Highlander

#9 out of 12 weeks with fly tying videos, and this time we look into my version of the beautiful Green Highlander fly. It has been around for ages but is unfortunately a very misunderstood fly at least by mine and younger generations. It is often referred to as a fly for clearer waters and of course bright sunny weather, which is correct. But it is not a fly just for the clear rivers in Norway! It is a fly that should be used in ALL rivers when we have bright sunny days. My friend Björn has for example caught almost all of his salmon on the same fly, a Green Highlander variation!

Fiskar du med kroken löshängande eller fäster du den, i så fall med vad?

På dessa typer av tuber kör jag oftast löst hängande krok. Sätter en liten slangbit över knuten och krokögat så knuten inte vrider sig. Om du vill ha kroken fast i tuben så fungerar lite grövre siliconslang perfekt!
