I think the author realized how bad of a character Yamais is, despite her being somehow popular among readers. Around this episode Yamai is basically harmless, reduced to a perv... So, pick your poison, sociopath Yamai or Perv Yamai. Dunno which one is worse.

I've come to love your channel and credit you for getting me into anime reactions in general. This series has been particularly fun to watch with you. I know you've heard it before and I saw on your Patreon you tried 1 ep of Dangers in My Heart and stopped, likely due to the creepy vibe of the MC. Just wanted to reassure this aspect only affects the first 2 episodes, and can be looked at as a "chuni" facade that is contradicted by all of the character's actual actions and deeper emotions; he's actually very kind and is dealing with a severe inferiority complex. Given your reactions to Komi, My Dress Up Darling, and others, I guarantee you will love Dangers in My Heart and we will love watching you talk about it. It has some of the best characters and character growth I have ever seen. Wanted to take a moment to beg you to consider giving it another chance. Thank you for your channel regardless. :)

I might be in the minority here, but I low-key love Yamai. Yeah, she's a pervert and a stalker but when shit gets real, she's always in Komi's corner. It wouldn't be considered healthy behaviour IRL, but as a comic relief buttmonkey, she fits this insane show to a T.
A show that pleasantly surprised me from the winter line-up is a slow-burner called "The weakest Tamer began a journey to pick up trash". I'm sure you have a million shows to watch already (don't we all) but I thought it was worth a mention.

You should watch The Dangers in My Heart. This may surprise you, but despite of its cringey start, it is actually the best romance anime of 2023 and its second season, which is currently airing will gonna cement this anime as one of the best romance anime of all time.

Maybe in 250 to 300 chapters. I forget exactly where it happened. The manga, in my humble opinion, took a dump all over itself to prolong the franchise (paycheck for the mangaka). And this is from a big fan of the series for about the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the manga.

I hate Yamai so much.
Yamai is honestly a frustrating character. I WANT to not dislike her too much, and she DOES have moments of genuine kindness, like in this episode. But the mangaka always backtracks her development for the sake of (usually unfunny) gags, which gets old. 🫤
I find her funny, I just never took her character serious 🤷
I mean most characters contiune to do what they do. That the charm.
