Remembering Danica Mulholland | Silvi Supports the Danica Strong Foundation

Silvi Materials proudly presents the story of the Danica Strong Foundation, as told by Melanie Bagley, our Procurement Manager and Danica’s loving aunt. This video shares the incredible life and legacy of Danica Mulholland, a vibrant and caring young girl who battled brain cancer with extraordinary strength and selflessness.
Diagnosed with brain cancer at just 8 years old, Danica underwent months of chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple brain surgeries. Despite these challenges, she remained a source of light and joy for her family, always keeping a smile on her face to encourage those around her. During her treatments at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Danica discovered that toys like Legos and Play-Doh were used to help children rebuild their fine motor skills. Inspired to give back, she started collecting donations to ensure that other children fighting cancer could benefit from these resources. Even before the foundation was established, Danica worked tirelessly to donate toys, ear savers, and more to CHOP and other hospitals.
After Danica’s passing in 2022, her family turned their grief into action by creating the Danica Strong Foundation. Based in Levittown, PA, the foundation honors Danica’s memory by supporting families of children battling brain cancer. From paying medical bills to covering day-to-day expenses like mortgages and utilities, the foundation provides critical financial assistance so families can focus on their child’s care and recovery.
