Great video I have hit a gas line before due to the gas company locating the gas line in the wrong place

Thank you! Yeah unfortunately they don’t get it right every time. But usually they are pretty good, the guy that does our locates is great 👍🏼. He always calls me if he has any questions or concerns

What size trencher is that and what laser level do you use? We do a ton of drainage jobs and these are two of the top next purchase items for me. The few times I’ve rented a trencher attachment it did not go too well but your trench looks stellar

The trencher is a 36” I believe, it’s the one bobcat makes. We love it. The laser is the spectra LL300. That’s been great as well

Depending on the size area of the roof that feeds each downpout it is crucial not to tie them in together. Run each downspout with separate pipe or it will back up right at the connection at the downspout and flood out their basement in a serious flood situation when you need your system to work properly. I see its a little porch roof so you should be ok.

Thank you for your input! I appreciate the info. We always take that into consideration. Like you said for this one the first drain was just for the porch roof 👍🏼👍🏼

How much do you charge for something like that?

We see the same thing all the time, black roll pipe and thin homeowner white wall stuff collapses under weight of dirt. Gotta use the sdr. I still say diy network gives people the confidence to do jobs wrong lol.

Yessir! We see so many disasters from crap drainage. Only one way to do it, the right way!

Why not include a clean out at the gutter connection?

We do now. This video was filmed last year. We used to offer it as an option but now we install them on just about every job we do. We use wye’s and put a cap on it

I've done these same setups in the past. Fun job untill you hit a gas line that I knew was there
