There's a bit of realism to be found in that I feel. Do terrorists ever think they're doing the wrong thing? Even as they murder tons of innocent people? Of course not. Perspective is everything folks.
@@iancharles1571 Yeah, but that would only mean they think the term "Maverick" is a good connotation. They're just denying the definition. It'd be different if "maverick" also said "evil robot"...Which it might, this is Megaman.
It's a shame X7 tarnished the X series so thoroughly. X8 was definitely a huge step in the right direction and brought back some potential for 3D X titles.
Definitely. The only horrible thing I didn't like with X8 was Gigavolt's stage. Many lives were lost out of simply not knowing what to do with the stage at first. Gigavolt himself was fine with me
very good point. didnt know that you could boost to catch him as he just kept getting away and doing massive damage. at first i be with him then he speed up and get too far away. finally after pressing every freaking button i found the boost and caught up only to fail.
Man I love this game. Having 3(6?) Playable characters with different weapons and being able to switch with your partner in-stage was so fun. I remember when this came out, I was so excited. I was so sure the X series would keep moving in this awesome direction. Alas, many a bump in the road for my boy X this last decade+. Here's to hoping that X gets the same treatment Classic did with Mega Man 11
The best thing about this game is the boss fight, they have so many moves that make the fight feels epic and fun in hard mode. This is the best Megaman game for me after X6.
My favorite too, but it is without a doubt the easiest one, and the stages were either monotone or had bullshit design. It's one of those games you hate they didn't use its full potential.
The problem of the game is the easiest of all X saga, welp at least for me I noticed the demake is more difficult in the gameplays I have seen, I will get it later
As much as I love the voice acting, the quality of the actual dialogue reminds me a lot of Return of the Jedi. "The new world order!" "A new age!" "Doom and destruction!" "Wallow in despair and hopelessness!"
This was a must play in ps2, man, i don't remeber how many times i played this game back in the day... definitely a great game. The X saga and the Megaman Zero saga for the GBA are just incredible. Capcom can you take any of those sagas and work again on them? megaman x9 and megaman zero 5!!!
The Optic Sunflower's overdrive attack is simply absurd but nobody cares. He uses a HUGE SATELLITE WITH A GIGANTIC CANNON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATTLE, as no one realized the absurdity of it?

Has anyone else noticed that boss interaction dialogue is vague lol? Like they don’t explain what they are doing and why but let’s just kill each other lol
yeah, this is the worst Megaman X game in terms of character developing, they're just "hurr they're bad, let's go kill them" and them "hurrr we are bad, you are going to die"
@DeadMemes NeedToStayDead X5 had like one bit of memorable dialogue, Squid Adler. Because there you at least get a callback to an earlier game (though the localization team buggered it up by not fully translating "Launch Octopus") and actually get to see the Maverick virus turn a bot from rational to murderous lunatic. But other than that, yeah, pretty much boils down to X saying "stop it!" and the boss saying "never!" and then they fight.
Like other X games with dialogues, you kinda need to play the game a couple of times(ie. enter all the bosses with all 3 characters) to get the whole story. The ending for example slightly changes depending on who dealt the final blow against Lumine. Both X and Zero ponder about what Lumine says while Axl's gem is eerily focused on, implying Lumine's tentacles did *something* to him.
im very proud about one thing: this game got out when i got born and i played it when i was maybe in 12 and man i still remember it till this day forever rest X for saving the world and yes i post this at the same month but lmao 2020
Pretty easy. The game operates on a flat 2D plane already, so they just made an object with zero depth as Cutman. That's why he flips over like a piece of paper when he turns around, he's not a sprite but a 3d character who's completely flat.
For those who are wondering how to get the armor parts in Megaman X8: Icarius armor parts: Helmet: *Gravity Antonion* stage Hidden room betwen spikes only accessible with axl's DNA copy ability. Chest: *Eartrock trilobyte* Stage After making the giant robot scape, into a little cave, use burn rooster's ability to pass. Booster: *Noah's Park* stage Before the bee room, enter the level a second time and enter the low plant entrance. Boots: *Bamboo Pandemonium* stage After the first ride armor room, Go up in the elevator with the ride armor and use jump, air dash, Jump off the ride armor and use air dash. Hermes armor parts: Helmet: *Avalanche yeti* stage After destroying the plane, use zero to get up the metal structure and use optic sunflower's ability to destroy the ice block wall Chest: *Dark Mantis* stage In the third elevator, go up to find a hidden room Booster: *Optic Sunflower* After the fourth challenge room use the gravity antonion's ability to break the cristal wall. Boots: *Burn rooster* stage In the metal pipes part, go up avoiding the spikes
What was wrong with the ENG VAs? Maybe it's just me, because I felt the ENG Voices (such as the Dark Mantis and Avalanche Yeti) were more menacing. Edit: Also, I heard the early PC version is the one that lets you switch between languages. With that in mind, I honestly wonder if the title should say PC instead of PS2.
But Sigma didn't die in this, he died in Mega Man Zero. If there ever was a Mega Man X9, what if Sigma would return as the main villain and the final boss once more?
I truly understand X's frustrations at the beginning of the game now, every reploid he tried to reason with was so convinced and lost in the virus that he had no other reason but shut them down . Imagine trying to be a hunter when you have to remember all of the painful voices of these innocent mavericks being killed by yourself .

This game looks very HD and clear. I am impressed.

Now this deserve respect!! Usually people use full armour X, using Normal X takes guts, nice gameplay man, 👍
