I'm happy Red got a chance to shine. He's the most unique and underrated character in the X-Series. He's the most noble antagonist in the series. Sigma, Lumine, and Redips were genocidal Darwinists Doppler and Gate were infected scientists who strived to take over the world. The Repliforce and Epsilon's Rebellion Army were military sepratist factions that wanted a nation for only reploids. Red is none of these things-he's a vigilante. He's just a guy who is sick of the mavericks running wild while the government is too weak to deal with them. He's also incredibly skilled and powerful. He took on the combined might of X, Zero, and Axl with ONE EYE and put up a fight. Red and his men were also very efficient at hunting mavericks-every stage enemy in X7 is a maverick they captured, to say nothing of how many people they killed. Even though Red Alert was illegal they did such a good job hunting mavericks that the average man was grateful for their efforts. He also has suspected ties to the Repliforce Mercenary Unit, which if true, would convey the idea that he is in some form the Hunters' sins coming back to haunt them. Red's character is also richly articulated both by X7 and the OST booklet. He's a mysterious, successful, principled, sacrificial, fatherly, laid back bounty hunter who is always prepared for battle, has contempt for the establishment, possesses an unforgiving attitude toward Mavericks, wields an unrivaled loyalty towards his friends, is willing to fight to protect total strangers, and lacks patience for anything he deems to be stupid, shameful, or cowardly. In other words, he is a man with the focus of a general but the relaxation of a bartender. In light of all this one can understand why Red wielded a noted charisma that allowed him to earn the friendship and loyalty of a rag-tag band that included an amnesiac child, a sage monkey, a rowdy boar, a man-child onion, a territorial fish, a competitive crow, an elderly anteater, an attention hungry kangaroo, and a loud hyena-a group he sustained with his reputation alone. Finally, Red has a number of parallels to the MCU version of Yondu Odotta Both led a ragtag band of outlaws Both adopted a son who uses dual pistols Both sons left the groups their father's led, causing them to move heaven and earth to get them back Both lost their families by breaking their code (Yondu dealt in kids and Red let his group attack innocent people for power) Both let themselves be taken down out of shame (Yondu didn't stop the Mutiny and Red chose to fight and die with his men rather than surrender peacefully) With all these great qualities it is high time people in the fandom recognize just how awesome Red is! He was a scythe wielding robot grim reaper vigilante whose very name was the color of the maverick blood he spilled with impunity when the Maverick Hunters were too weak to do what needed to be done. What's more awesome than that?
40:13 lumines final words … you may have defeated me but it’s too late to stop what’s already begun …. Deep 😢😢😢 ngl lumine would make for an interesting new recurring villain .
I feel like he just became the new main host for the sigma virus as sigma is now gone for good, however X8 ending implied he posseses/infected Axl just like Zero did with Sigma, further emphasized with the post game White armor he gets which is literally Lumines color scheme.
THIS is what X9 should be like, take notes, Capcom!! but seriously, this De-Make has more heart and soul put into it than "Mega Man X: Corrupted" did and that speaks volumes on its own!
Heart and soul is not missing in Corrupted, it just lacks focus and compromise to get the important things done and either scrap the extras or leave it to uodates if they wanted to. I could name a dozen extras they could have left on the drawer and focused on the main game and they would have probably finished the game by the time the lockdown nearly fully ceased by the end of 2022 assuming they commited to it.
@@AkmalNova18 Correct me if I'm wrong but.. the battle theme heard in the fight(s) with her.. those aren't the same that would play when you fight her in MMBN3 & 5 right? I'm unsure where she appears again in what numbered title so do explain it to me if necessary :)
I love how they included Red from X7, I always thought his design was cool but his boss fight was absolutely the worst, it's great to see him actually fight with his scythe.
X does seem to jump to the conclusion "Are you a Maverick!" in a lot of these encounters. That said, the bosses being super vague about it doesn't help much. I get that they're trying to say "Being a Maverick is a label" and "I'm only as "evil" as those who define me as such". But X isn't wrong that they are putting people in harms way and need to be stopped.
Well, there was some new and mixed dialog in there, so reusing voice clips wouldn't have worked; and, because of the former problem, the guy would have had to bring in more amateur voice actors that he could afford (if he could afford any).

It took hours for me to eventually defeat Serenade. I depended a lot of the ful Hermes Armor. Now, I plan to defeat him again using full Icarus. Well, time to die a lot of times again.
Serenade almost game an aneurysm I swear. I couldn't figure out the 2nd phase of the fight and I thought I needed to know kanji. Thank goodness I eventually figured it out
I almost defeated him with full Icarus recently. Fighting Serenade requires good attention and focus. I figured out the way of dodging that fullscreen attack pretty quickly. Also, I find the kanji attack to be Serenade's most beautiful one.
UPDATE: I finally defeated Serenade with full Icarus. My lifebar was at the last drop and I didn't have any Sub-Tanks left, but Serenade's lifebar was low enough to use Icarus Armor's Giga Attack. That's how I won.
What an excellent adaptation. Viewing this completed work, I love what has been done with it. Love the care and detail, and the balance changes for X's weapons are perfect. This truly realizes the potential that X8 promised.
To the guy who made this fangame, Copy Sigma has to be one of the hardest bosses I've ever seen! I haven't finished the video yet, but my jaw has dropped! How's anyone going to beat him? That looks impossible!!
I'll say this too. I wish that Capcom had given a similar treatment to a new Mega Man X game or remake as they did with Mega Man 9 and 10. It can be lower budget using pixel art, sure, but also because the aesthetic of the 16-bit era is so appealing. It felt like it really got out of the jankiness of the NES 8-bit era and really stands out as an eye-pleasing style even to this day. In fact, with modern hardware, you have even fewer limitations to how good you can make it look.
@@Artista_Frustrado It was initially planned to make Model A axl himself like with X and Zero becoming Models X and Z, but since X8 left Axl's fate ambigious, they had to go a different approach.
It's nice that the boss fights keep the moment when they become berserk and the music change. Also, nice play, was it more difficult than the original game ?
Some bosses do feel much harder in this version. Dark Mantis I think is the hardest one of the cast. The dev had Megaman X veterans in mind so the difficulty is up there. The secret bosses are a hell of a challenge. Took me hours to beat one of them
I thought I was imagining it when Damaged Vile sounded like Damaged Metal Sonic, but then I heard Optic Sunflower's lasers and these sounds definitely came from Sonic 3.
I'm loving the creativity with some of these guys. I might just give this a spin. Also, HOLY HELL, that Serenade fight... His arsenal got a serious glow-up. What's up with the kanji symbol thing going on in the second phase there? I don't quite get it.
@@MegaYoYo If you're referring to Optic Sunflower, then yeah. Not to mention the sound of injured Reploids. It's the exact same SE as when Mecha Sonic is injured during Sonic and Knuckles.
I gotta wonder if some of these boss attacks are actually _dodgeable?_ Especially when Red get's serious. The sheer amount of things you have to keep your focus on while fighting would probably overwhelm most people.

Nah. They had one chance to do it and.. now it's too late. @@Hinrik_Play Not from Alysson. He has stated that he hates X7 and won't do a demake of it. But maybe somebody else will do it justice. A 2D X7 done right would become the "definitive" version of that game.
Just got done with this after seeing this vid on my recommendeds. Gotta say, while some of the balancing was clearly done in order to spite some of the folks who claimed the first few builds were too much (The damage on a lot of these guys is NO joke), the new stuff added to the Weapons, stages, and the Jakob Elevator and Moon feel like top-notch effort.
If this is only fanmade then yall have done incredible work. Every boss gives dialogue, an overall arc to a story. I played megaman games as a kid and probably only got as far as x4 maybe x5.. and this outdoes those, to see it still alive and enjoyed today is awesome
... Serenade. They made a secret boss fight against Serenade. I saw this as a dream once. And they made it a reality. I love it. But I am curious about those Kanji attacks. Like why those Kanjis? What is it that they show? My theory is that it's Serenade's memory who trained in X's world but those places were destroyed.

I'm glad you uploaded this video because I tried to play this game and the only boss I could beat was the intro boss. I had seen the videos against the Maverick bosses, so I knew the boss fights would have been tough, but I had hoped the stages themselves would have been easier, and even they were tougher. There are already achievements in the game for those who want to challenge themselves, but I wish the maker would've at least let the stages be a little more forgiving.
This game was developed with Megaman X veterans in mind. Its tough but for me I've already ran through the gauntlet that is MMX6. Don't be discouraged though! It's doable.

Finally, Red has a number of parallels to the MCU version of Yondu Odotta
Both led a ragtag band of outlaws
Both adopted a son who uses dual pistols
Both sons left the groups their father's led, causing them to move heaven and earth to get them back
Both lost their families by breaking their code (Yondu dealt in kids and Red let his group attack innocent people for power)
Both let themselves be taken down out of shame (Yondu didn't stop the Mutiny and Red chose to fight and die with his men rather than surrender peacefully)
With all these great qualities it is high time people in the fandom recognize just how awesome Red is!
He was a scythe wielding robot grim reaper vigilante whose very name was the color of the maverick blood he spilled with impunity when the Maverick Hunters were too weak to do what needed to be done.
What's more awesome than that?
goated comment
This guy did more for Megaman than what Capcom has done in years.
32:56 he literally just used hyper beam. Sound effect and everything LMAO.
Finally, someone noticed!
After defeating Vile the sounds of short circuits are from Mecha Sonic From S3&K this Demake has a lot of references 🎉
I has to admit the bosses look better in classic games graphic style and their special attacks too.
AlyssonDaPaz did amazing sprite work here
Today is a good day.
I got to see my grandma, and then see this.
The background of lumine phase 2 is literally the same background as Kefka's final boss area in Final Fantasy 6.
That's awesome
What a fitting stage
The creator is giving red more love than capcom ever did lmaooo
Gotta respect Red. One of the coolest characters and they did him dirty
41:14 megaman is always a game with good music

47:39 死 (Death) Well, uh, that isn't foreboding at all. Holy crap this is cool.

Serenade From Mega Man Battle Network
Is a pain in the ass
NO! The pain, is your ASS!
@@AkmalNova18 Correct me if I'm wrong but.. the battle theme heard in the fight(s) with her.. those aren't the same that would play when you fight her in MMBN3 & 5 right? I'm unsure where she appears again in what numbered title so do explain it to me if necessary :)
@@Evilriku13 yes it is
@@reliusclover8842 oh ok, thank you!
I love how they included Red from X7, I always thought his design was cool but his boss fight was absolutely the worst, it's great to see him actually fight with his scythe.
Red was a fun fight. I'm glad he got a proper treatment
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody on the face of the planet:
X: HAVE YOU GONE MAVERICK?!???!
Don't say the dirty m word in front of X
X does seem to jump to the conclusion "Are you a Maverick!" in a lot of these encounters. That said, the bosses being super vague about it doesn't help much. I get that they're trying to say "Being a Maverick is a label" and "I'm only as "evil" as those who define me as such". But X isn't wrong that they are putting people in harms way and need to be stopped.
Maybe Copy X wasn't so different after all.
I wish this had Zero, Axl, and the VAs. Would've been perfect. Still really cool.
Well, there was some new and mixed dialog in there, so reusing voice clips wouldn't have worked; and, because of the former problem, the guy would have had to bring in more amateur voice actors that he could afford (if he could afford any).
@@jiltedensign7479 For sure, and I realize I'm talking an unrealistic wishlist, especially over a free and impressive project.
@@OrbisAetherum I mean, to be fair, if I were working on a MegaMan project like this, I would like voice actors as well...but then, after realizing that my ideal voice for X - after the GOAT Mark Gatha - would be Brennan Mejia...yeah, using sound effects is better/more affordable.
One tiny, eeny , winney, BIG problem, X's English VA is retired and has no plans on coming back to do voice acting.
@@WatcherMovie008 His last role wasn't as X either; he lent his voice as Lan Hikari for Megaman Battle Network 5: Double Team DS. While not an X game, it did have the appearance of the second Navi to come from the X series in Colonel.EXE
@@andrewpontes4979 Clutch moves my man. That Serenade fight turns veterans into legends
What an excellent adaptation. Viewing this completed work, I love what has been done with it. Love the care and detail, and the balance changes for X's weapons are perfect. This truly realizes the potential that X8 promised.
This is a fun way to play for those looking for another snes Megaman X entry
Gotta admit, I loved only seeing Alia at the start of the game and the end only saying Roger and not draining anymore of my gameplay.
The background for the 2nd form of Lumine looks like the same background from the final Kefka fight in FF6
I thought that whole time during the fight
ikr
Also, the background for the final fight with Vile looks like the same background as one of the boss fights from Alien Soldier
@@keminoharrul9071 You are indeed correct
36:20 ahhh just like the A-Trans from ZXA!

@@MegaYoYo they have said that Axl inspired Model A, so yeah it makes sense!
gameplay-wise? yes, Model A is based on Axl
story-wise? no, is actually Model A(lbert) as in the final boss Master Albert

Hell yea brother
This game is absolutely incredible! Lots of love and passion from the dev AlyssonDaPaz! That person rocks, man.
Alysson Da Paz rocked it with this one. I have to find more of their work
Yo That Red fight is the closest thinf to a MegamanX7 Demake
0:00 THE TRUE LEGEND IS BORN FOR CUTSCENES AND FINAL BOSS AND EXTRA STAGE!
Extra stage??
Do you see this, capcom? This is what your fans are capable of! Learn!
38:00 Hey, that's the same background as Kefka's final phase. Neat.
All hail the clown king
I hope X4-X7 and X Command Mission get 16 bit demake too
Not from the same creator. He even stated that he hates X7 (as most MM fans do).
@@Animebryan2 because wrost game?
Some dev released a open source of Megaman X7 in Ps1 style only left to wait if somebody wants to recreate X7 using that engine
I'm loving the creativity with some of these guys. I might just give this a spin.
Also, HOLY HELL, that Serenade fight... His arsenal got a serious glow-up. What's up with the kanji symbol thing going on in the second phase there? I don't quite get it.
The dev said that Serenade is trying to send X to another dimension. The kanjis represent the six realms of Hinduism i believe.
My childhood video game has been made ten times better with this demake...

Serenade showing up was a surprise for sure.
This is giving me original megaman x vibes.....I am shocked. I actually cannot believe this.
This is much better than 3D version. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I've always thought that the Mega man X series should have just stayed in the 16-bit snes style
I gotta wonder if some of these boss attacks are actually _dodgeable?_ Especially when Red get's serious. The sheer amount of things you have to keep your focus on while fighting would probably overwhelm most people.
I have no idea how to dodge that move. Way too crazy to keep my wires straight
Really shows the dedication of fans to great series!
They are working on a zero build right now
Now we just need demakes of X4-7 but done right
Bro, the last stages are ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL AF!!!! I cannot believe they ramped up so much the dificulty for the stages and bosses for the last part of the game, i just finished it and ti was MONSTRUOS! Jacob Elevator was cool as a stage, not going to lie, amazing desing.
They improved the level design. X8 already had good level but this built of that foundation. The last stage was quite a challenge
@@MegaYoYo As much as i love a challenge, i believe its way too hard for "casual players", cause holy cow is hard, the damage is absurd and the hitboxes are way bigger, making them more difficult to avoid, but eh, im a hardcore megaman player, so i took the challenge.
Came out before corrupted. Guess we gonna another 20 years on that lol
Okay! Real Sigma acts and feels like an Elden Ring boss! I've never played the game, but I've seen a boss or two, and this is a whole new level!! This reploid pulled a Nappa when he opened his jaw wide and discharged a green kamehameha!!! That is insane!! How's Lumine going to top that?
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! The secret bosses I was not expecting but they are very well crafted!
Those secret bosses were the cherry on top
32:19 WHERES THE BRING IT ON???????????????????????
The weapon preview is so much better! Not as good as MegaMan 11 but we can find out how to use it.
I did any megamans weapon previews
I honestly hope there's a demade version of the soundtrack coming soon! I would love to hear an SNES X-style version of the soundtrack!!
That would be hella sick! I don't think the dev has that in plan but I'm sure someone could make one
They could ask JX to collaborate. He has remade some songs from the game already in different styles.
Nah. They had one chance to do it and.. now it's too late. It's not like they could have let themselves wait more for the game to be published and organize that aspect in the time being from the beginning of the last demo, also so the newly added bosses don't have to use their original themes that also stick out a bit because different soundfont.
@@Evilriku13and have people wait 10 more years like corrupted?…..yeah no games out it’s phenomenal and people enjoy it. and it’s not like they can’t add stuff in the game after release with future updates you know what most games including fan games actually do

Okay, I definitely expected Cut Man from the original MegaMan since he did appear as a secret boss in the original version of X8, but I didn't expect Red from X7, especially given how many people hate that game. At least Red isn't as annoying to fight as Gate.
Edit: They even gave him Sigma's phase 1 theme from X7.
Maybe this is a signal of a possible Mega Man X7 16-Bit?
@@Hinrik_Play Maybe, maybe. As long as it isn't a fan remake of X6, I could care less. Not to say no one likes it, but I honestly hate X6 while I mildly dislike X7.
Edit: Also, MegaMan X Code Red exists, and it definitely was a 16-bit version of X7.
@@BaxterAndLunala Mega Man X Code Red was actually cancelled, with its code made available to the public, but we still don't have anyone who has agreed to continue the project. As for X6, I would really prefer it to receive better treatment at Alysson's hands, but X7 is a trauma that I would love to see remaded.
Never played X7 but I do know who Red is. Glad to see some references from other megaman games
@@Hinrik_Play Not from Alysson. He has stated that he hates X7 and won't do a demake of it. But maybe somebody else will do it justice. Aside from how whiny X sounded & not being immediately playable, the only sin X7 committed was trying to be a 3D MMX game when they should have just stuck to 2D.
A 2D X7 done right would become the "definitive" version of that game.
I'm happy Cut Man was brought back in the Demake but I wasn't expecting to see two more secret bosses but I'll gladly accept them.
Same here. Happy to see other bosses from the different megaman timelines
These secret bosses are so dope
Seeing Serenade was so cool Least expected character
Just got done with this after seeing this vid on my recommendeds. Gotta say, while some of the balancing was clearly done in order to spite some of the folks who claimed the first few builds were too much (The damage on a lot of these guys is NO joke), the new stuff added to the Weapons, stages, and the Jakob Elevator and Moon feel like top-notch effort.
I'm glad you had fun with it! Some of the damage on the bosses is crazy. Dark Mantis just wipes the health bar clean
This game handles really well. It feels like one of the snes games.
This game feels so good to play. I'm in love with it
They went HARD with the pixel graphics and animation.
The sprite art is soooo good
If this is only fanmade then yall have done incredible work.
As someone who thinks Mega man X8 is one of the best if not the BEST installment of the series, I am so excited to see a 16 bit demake for this i would really want to download it one day.

27:50 sigma too you actually had to use a sub tank for him
I bet those fights had your heart throbbing 😂
Some of these bosses hit like trucks. I’m glad the fans have made such an amazing game with love
