Never heard of that intersection called 'The X' or this area being called 'X Plus'. Everyone I know calls this area 'Tyler Davis' or 'Tyler Polk'. (FYI: My family has been down here in Oak Cliff since the '20s,and I've worked for some & my family knew many of the 'old' businessmen on W.Davis?) As you enter this 'X' as you call it,Starkey's Auto is to your Right, and the Mexican place to your left we all still call 'The old Hodge's Grocery'? Also at 4:21 you passed by my friend Butch Rushing's old Transmission shop....which was a very great loss to the Oak Cliff community in general when he was zoned out. We Oak Cliff Natives always used to joke that Butch was the 'Mayor of West Davis'. Also was a good Boot & Shoe repairman at this corner where that Wine Bar is now, that guy was a bit weird for sure (you kind of had to know him to deal with him?) but like Butch, an honest businessman. And you passed by the original Norma's Cafe & didn't mention it. I mean come on,the place is a landmark & Oak Cliff institution.....it's been there since '56??

My first though exactly. 71 years in Oak Cliff and this is the first time I've heard that name for that intersection.

What's scary is I actually know where that street (Waweenoc) is?? Father worked for a rental management company, and they had a couple of houses on that street?

So do I. I worked up the street at Davis & Elsbeth many years ago. "Loyd's Used Cars #2",it's just a parking lot now? Grandfather,Father & myself all knew & did business with a whole lot of those old shops & businessmen all up & down W.Davis.....most of them all gone, either they've died or they've gotten zoned out of business?
