    The importance of local knowledge or really getting to know a patch comes across here. The final image was beautiful.

    Lovely shot David, I was glad to see the blue Sky after the lousy summer we have had. Just come back from Cornwall and a glorious week it was too.

      Many thanks Iain, weather is back to normal now, but just back from a beach workshop teaching some ladies how to do long exposures, bit more of a challenge! 😊👍

    The 12mm f2 is such a great little lens, it's probably one of the best options in the system - well corrected, sharp, well built, small, light weight and CHEAP for what you get. I picked up three of them, I have one of each variety, the silver version, the black limited version and the later black version.
    I love the results you got, the blending technique you showed worked really well and I agree with the lighting conditions you went for! Awesome.

    Great video, a nice way to introduce a review into the mix. Loving your studio set-up, and the gear you have attached to your tripod too. VSGO offered to send me that same bag and I told them to sod off. Wish I hadn't now! 😅

    Thank you David for a very interesting video. The final image was excellent. Was that an olympus optic ? Thanks again you are making me a believer in 4/3s.. I like the battery pack as well.

    Great video, between MZ 12mm f2 and laowa 6mm f2 , which one do you prefer for landscape photography? Sorry my inglish.

      I don't think it's really a question of a favourite, rather it's a case of using the right lens for the circumstances and what you're trying to achieve. In terms of which I would use most frequently that's probably the 12 mm because at 6 mm the field of view is quite extreme and really only appropriate certain particular circumstances such as wanting to make extremely dominant foregrounds 😊👍

    Hi David
    Am currently sat just before the Menai Bridge and the sunset this evening was fantastic with calm waters, sadly working and no camera 😢

      Yes I watched it go down from my front garden over Llyn Coron. Although the camera stayed indoors as I'd been busy making this video all day. My policy is never leave home without a camera though. At the very least I always have my PEN F with me with MZ14-42 on it and Lumix 35-100 in the bag too 😊👍

    Is the bag fully waterproof , does it come with a cover that can cover the tripod and bag ???

    • @DGriffGallery
      @DGriffGallery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Colin, yes I have found it to be very weather resistant, but it does come with an additional rain cover which I haven't actually needed to use as yet even though I've been out with it in some pretty heavy rain. Everything stayed perfectly dry without the additional rain cover. As to whether it would cover a tripod as well, almost certainly not, but in my experience tripods don't really need to be protected from the weather. 😊👍

    Price of these bags are absolutely ridiculous these days

    • @DGriffGallery
      @DGriffGallery  ปีที่แล้ว

      I find it interesting when people are concerned about the prices of the less significant items used by most photographers especially those operating predominantly outdoors. When I consider that even with my limited set of equipment I am probably carrying around £3000 worth of electronics and optics, and it seems to me that a couple of hundred quid to keep them protected from the elements whilst being comfortable to carry and convenient to use, well, in that context it appears reasonably cost-effective. I was out with a friend a couple of days ago and he was carrying well over £10,000 worth of gear. I don't think he would be particularly bothered about the price of his backpack in that context. 😊👍
