Nice job. The woman in this video is a serious builder, knowledgeable and Angelenos are lucky to have her on the project. The gentleman discussing air safety was equally professional. The sleeving segments that become tube extensions which support the tunnel structures are genius! The supply chain just to deliver the 20 or so 5-foot wall sections required each day to reinforce the tunnel is a heroic achievement in its own right. Plus the design of the boring machine!

I also saw that the Vermont BRT corridor could potentially be a heavy rail-type subway like this in the next 25-40 years.

Why can’t we connect 101/405 area to the rest of the city and get an elevated train across the valley rather than an idiotic busline? Also why can’t we get trolleys on Ventura Blvd?

YES! LA is going subterrain. and will finally make many large tunnels for a pack of new metro trains...it is so expensive to buy and keep a car, and we poor fold deserve public transit at its best..! And you will have it and be expected to have it from the 2028 Olympic visitors.

On the long run it should reduce traffic. Also people must adhere to public transportation too.

Since it’s a subway it’s prob going to be faster than the expo line and I’m sure metro doesn’t want everyone to take the purple line while leaving the expo line empty is my theory

E.V. Gaming I know I was referring to the original comment. But if it were to expand to the ocean which isn’t happening anytime soon than its likely that most would take the purple line since it’ll be faster

Los Angeles needs to fix it's homeless problem. No matter what city builds, a smelly, half naked homeless man could spoil it without bothering (no hate towards them , but sometimes the metro smells like piss and the floor is sticky

I thought it was easier to get around in new york with public transportation. In LA you have to live near a train station, because buses are extremely slow and late

They’re literally doing this and giving money to Elon. They are using Elon’s Boring Co. machines to dig up the tunnels.
