Our water tanks are extremely low. We hope to the roads can dry out in the next week or so so we can get filled back up. The kids bedroom closet is our next project.

Hi! We're Nick and Jen, a retired military veteran of 14 years and professional dancer/entertainer at Coyote Ugly Bar. Together, we decided to sell everything and break free of the glitz, glam and chaos of city life to move off gird. We live on our 20 acres of remote land in the mountains of Southern Utah.

Want to get the ankle biters organized? Get some totes from HD (black and yellow lid) They make ones that would fit under their beds. Being it's nothing but toys even larger bins could be used and can stack.
I vote for 100,000 subscribers, but no to the kids. The ones you have are perfect and you are amazing parents, including your four-legged barking child.

Why don’t you try collecting rain water off your roof over the tanks.
Kids, yes. You homeschool, gotta keep the reputation up. We had 6! The older kids help out with the younger ones. I addressed this before...water catchment, off the water tank roof and shed for now, to help supplement your water. Later, off the barndominium roof and garage roof into another tank and tie that into the system also. Just my opinion but you are missing out on helping yourselves out here. You have at least 4 roofs to use and that can be quite a bit of water long term.

Quick reciepe for windshield wiper fluid. One gallon of water and one cup of ammonia free Windex.
Time to drill a well. You should also build a large collection platform for the next rain. Just build a rooflike platform that funnels water down to a gutter at the bottom edge and is then pumped into the tank by way of a filtration system. I have a 30,000 gallon tank that is mostly buried in the ground that will fill up quickly with a decent rain. The roof and my own planform fill it quickly.
Right off the bat, you have my respect in the way you handled the flag, moving quick to make sure it didn't hit the ground.
Toys, IMO there is such a thing as too many toys...That said, I saw a video on You Tube( Wish I remember where) that was about parenting hacks. And it was basically this. When the kids got a new toy, they had to give a toy (still usable, not broken) toy away to a friend or to charity. But it had to be close in size, not cost. That way, they kept a rein on the area needed to store the toys. Also, once a year or year and a half, they got to voluntarily pick through their toys and donate the ones they had out grown and or just didn't play with any more. Another thing they did was to sell their toys on Market place, yard sales or how ever, and got to use the proceeds anyway they wanted to. Same went with cloths, donate or sell any that they didn't like or had out grown. I wish I had thought about this when my kids were young! Sounds like a great way to keep toys in check, and toy storage as well as closet space in check.
I agree with Nick, no more babies. My biggest thought is as tough as it is these days to raise a child, two is a good number, only children seem to get a lot more spoiled, and not in a good way, but as in, they tend to think everything is going to be given to them. And... I myself, would have a difficult time bringing a child into what this world has come to, and the direction it is headed. You have been given the gift of having one of each sex. I had three and finally got my daughter on the third time.
Love the vision on the closet. As with the pantry and the closet, and the the entertainment center, I am sure it's gonna look great! I love the custom touches you put on everything, and I think this will be too. One thing though, I wouldn't connect the shelves and so on to the dresser, there come a day when you will want, and or need to change it out.
If you're going to cut corners with a brush, you need to buy a good 1.5" beveled brush you use just for cutting. Buy a good one and it'll last forever.

That gray/brown color is called Taupe (pronounced TOPE).. I hope you have more natural wood in the house when you finish it. That would bring more of the outside feel inside. Just my opinion.

As the water is getting low, and you have filters for the water Maybe do a check on water quality, coming into the house, Ambition Strikes just tested theyres and found all sorts of bad things in the water.!!! About having More children!, may I suggest that as Nick has to build a full house for you'all, and will need a lot of help, you close youre legs untill maybe the new house is built with the roof on and half finished as he will need youre help. Good Sunday morning here in Michigan. I really enjoy your videos. My opinion nowadays is two children are enough. You have a boy and a girl I would be totally happy with that. Takes a lot of money to raise them right put them through college. It is very expensive. Don’t only think about them growing up I think about their future so I would be so happy with two children. One of each boy and a girl is fine.😊 no new babie I mean you guys are going to do what you want with your family if you can extend it or not it’s not up to people that’s watching it’s up to you guys whatever’s right for you. This is my opinion.

Also, if/when you get the kids’ loft beds built (I seem to remember you saying something awhile back that was the plan?) you’ll have more storage underneath and room to play on the ground as well. I like the idea of the semi-custom closet… trying to decide how to integrate and layout something similar in our master closet as well

Nice looking closet. Please attach the dresser to the wall. Kids will be kids and climb on it and it's likely to tip if not fastened to the wall.

I wish I had been able to provide my kids a little better understanding of mechanical and building knowledge when they were young. However, I didn’t have that much knowledge and was super dumb financially. Glad y’all r able to enjoy the kids and family as a whole and teach them good work ethic and everything y’all are learning. Well done.

Yes, in the UK we have a different date for Mother's day than you in the USA. It originally had nothing to do with maternal mothers, but would signify a day when those employed in domestic service would be allowed time off to return to their mother church, - the church where they had attended as a child.

You can put a shower nozzle that will shut on and off because my husband put one on for me for my shower because I requested it so you can find them. I suggest you use it save a little water and maybe wash dishes by hand a little bit more or make sure the dishwasher is full. I don’t know use a few extra paper plates I don’t know, but be cautious of the water you know how important Water is these days

clean that jeep ?? My water system is a 7000 gallon tank with a 1 H/P pump, 20 gallon holding tank multi filters . The water is not used for drinking, we had 10 gallons in the house for that through an R/O system. I get water delivered (4500 gallons ) every 2 to 3 months, cost $180.00.
It's a mighty beautiful home but in the middle of the house there's no support to keep it from spreading out practically no pitch ask a lot of weight of snow no hold up integrity I hope I am so wrong

Man, you drive me absolutely nuts when you paint.... quit using a dry roller or brush for that matter. load the roller with some paint, you should never be able to even begin to hear a roller going across a wall. You will find not only will you get a better finish by getting paint on the wall. Then immediately leave it alone and the smoothing effect will take place and you will finish painting much quicker. just fyi, keep up the great work you two.

NO!!!! Why bring another kid into this messed up world!!! Y'all are blessed us two awesome kids. A boy and a girl that's great. If you have another kid then the one in the middle semes to feel left out. The oldest kid gets a lot of attention then the youngest/baby of the family gets the rest, and the middle kid is just there. I was the middle kid and life wasn't so pretty. Once we had our two boys my wife had her tubs tied she was 23 and life was fun with two boys. When they were old enough the youngest would ride on the back of my wife's motorcycle and the oldest boy road with me. We had a blast. If we would of had 3 kids there would of not been all the motorcycle rides and trips...
