  • In the last two videos of this series we went over all types of Vray Camera views:
    - We talked about Setting up a Perspective and rendering a 360 Panorama view + how to use it: • How to render Perspect...
    - We also talked about rendering a plan view in Perspective and in Parallel projection: • Rendering a Plan/Furni...
    In today’s video, which is the final part of this series, we’ll talk about setting up and rendering a scene using Sketchup's Section Cut and VRay’s Mesh Clipper.

    Took me 2 years to realise that I can actually use section cut for small room rendering rather than hiding walls etc , thanks a lot ! 💋💋

    Is there any guideline on the field of view? I saw you put 10 for the first render & 45 for the second one

    Thanks for this excellent video. I have a small problem. I have a small kitchen and placed a section cut. I made 2 scenes. In each scene I have toggled the section plane off in the section toolbar, saved the scenes and the model. When I play the animation from scene 1 to 2, the section plane becomes visable again in both scenes. This prevents me to make a clear render. How can I keep the section planes off?

    • @Ravenors.academy
      @Ravenors.academy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're very welcome :) oh, did you try disabling the cut from VRay's Asset Editor?

      @@Ravenors.academy I posted the Q. on the forum and Dave had the answer. Under styles>modeling settings the section plane was turned on. I turned it off and updated the style for scene2.

    hello! can you tell me if you've experienced this error in section renders? when i try to render the section, white spots appear as if the section was throught a portion of the wall or objects. i always move the section line but this white areas don't dissapear, they only change their shape. they look like the same shapes as objects which should be cut-off by the section plane. they look like shadows on the Section Plane but I can’t find anything anywhere about this.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    • @Ravenors.academy
      @Ravenors.academy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Roxana!
      I've experienced something similar, and what I did to fix it was just add these objects to a layer and turn it off when saving the scene.
      If the problem is still there after the fix, try messaging me on any of the social media channels so it can be easier to troubleshoot :)

      Are you using Skalp or Sketchup's native tool? Also what VRay & Sketchup versions are you using?
