+Andrew Oddo Treadplate dual 2001 with 4x12 01 treadplate cabinet. Mic is "On axis" and SM57? Distortion is normal Screamer. My tone has some other tweaks and eq so they shall be secrets ;) hope this helped!
I usually record audio and video separately. If i dont remember wrong i recorded this in one take but recorded that 2nd solo again because wasnt satisfied with it. :) Yes you can call it cheating if you want but even children of bodom records songs at like 20 different parts so i think it's fair enough :D
Don't mean to offend you dude. I know how the recording process looks like, believe me :) I mean that, those "cover" videos used to be connected with live effort, not home-studio edited thing. Modern DAW's can edit audio to that point where even Laiho can still play amazing solos :D
No no, it's always ok to say :) Quite many ppl does actually like that edits cover recordings littlebit if they're fine except one or two little parts. Have a nice day :)
