I definitely need to do this, along with the wire loom boots. Previous owner installed a front/rear dash cam setup and broke the clips on those.

Hey quick question I know you own an S5 sportsback as well and just I’m wondering through the life of owning it does your Audi have a ticking noise when the vehicle is on and running? my car has roughly 50,000 miles on it and I can hear the ticking noise. I did some research and some people say it’s just what happens with a 3.0t engines but some others are saying it’s rocker arm failure. have you had any issues like this before or do you hear a ticking sound when your car is running? The ticking sound isn’t loud or really obnoxious. But it’s definitely there

Another area to check for leaking, are those 2 rubber boots are on top of the hatch.
You'll definitely see some dirt and water mark on the inside of the 1st trim piece you took off, as well as a faint stain on the head liner.

If changing the tube doesnt fix the problem then change the rubber flaps locates on the bumper sides it happened on my car i thought changing the tube will fix it but nope

That's good to know! There's definitely a few different things that could contribute to water getting into the rear. Another I hear about is when people upgrade tail lights and incorrectly reinstall the rubber wiring boots at the top of the hatch.
