Nice! Good #1 review on this hammer .50. I have this little monster myself. I shoot heavies in mine. It turns into a powerful beast on heavy.Ammo is very hard to get for it though. I may have settled for a .45 in something had I known about the special ammo for it. It takes .510 diameter or little bigger which you cannot use regular .50 ammo in it. Its a .50 BMG sizes. You should let people know about that part. Then you have to measure the barrel bore for correct sizing. The Dragonclaw ammo doesn't work in it either. Ed The Professional Backyard Sniper Man😎✌
I'm not in the market for anything over .22 cal for right now, but I still enjoy watching what manufacturers are putting out and any new innovations. I might be an UX /AV fan boy though. Lol.
And by the way thank you for the advice on the entry level PCP. My nephew is hooked on field target competition right now. Lol but , it's true. Avenger it is 👍
I shoot the 2 mile king and I have to say, your breathing and having your mouth at least cracked, meaning breathing threw your nose and exhaling out your mouth does a great job. As far as .338 ..50 call no matter if it's air or center fire
My tiny little Vevor air compressor finally died . 😢 I just ordered a Rov - Air from Pyramyd Air . It just finished filling my Umarex Hammer and something inside popped . I think my car can still charge it , but , I needed a better compressor anyway . It was one of those two component Vevors.
Nice job Rick. I really appreciate the clear audio especially...makes for a better experience and learning is easier. I am impressed for sure as that was what turned me off about the Texan line: length and huge air consumption per shot. With the Hammer it would be nice to know that you have a solid full power second shot + maybe a third. I am learning my Gauntlet 2 right now and with a few little pieces from Hajimoto it is hole on hole at 50 yards. Trigger is different enough that I need more time on it. Does the Hammer trigger have that same loooooong creep prior to reaching the wall? Understanding of course that we are talking about two different levels of gun.
Thanks for this first part review of the Umarex hammer. The size of this rifle is exactly the reason for me to look in to this one. The Hatsan piledriver is better priced but it's soooo long! It's good you pointed out the air from the breach and not to have you hands close. Now, i do feel its bit weird that an gun is forcing you how you need to hold and shoot it. My bigger concern is the seals of this rifle. This air that is getting out of the breach, is that passing seals? If so, it could mean blown-out seals quite quickly. Hope you can say more about this in your next video on this gun? Looking forward to part 2!
The Piledriver is more expensive no? I have 5 Hatsan pcps including a Herc Bully 45 and think the Piledriver is an incredible gun, but this thing is sexy and I would also take it over Piledriver for sure.
I'm surprised how quiet it is everyone says it's loud but it doesn't sound that loud. I just bought one of these I'm going to be getting it in a few days. I wish I watch this before I bought it, nevertheless I've watched videos of it before and not one person mentioned the air pressure coming out of the magazine area. Thank you for the warning I certainly will be careful and I'm interested to see if they put a warning in their labeling. It seems they should do something about that or supply some type of cover to go over that area or something? I have another question is if you have a tank like that how many full power shots can you get out of a full tank before you need to refill and I bought a umarex compressor for the gun can that be used to refill the tank, I am assuming that I would take my time doing so. I'm not going to be doing much target practice I'm going to cite the gun in I'm going to drop me some food and that's about it. So... I probably don't need a tank but I'm thinking about getting a smaller gun to blink around with. Anyway thanks and if anybody can answer my questions. Great video 👍
Rick, any chance of us seeing you feature any FX products? The $80 universal adjustable barrel weight has my interest. Would love to see your take on it. And Travis as well. Please, And thank you!
Hey there Josh. It’s up to FX really. I’m certainly willing to. They don’t seem to have an issue sponsoring all kinds of folks. I’m please to take a look at the chrony and the slugs coming up. Maybe after that they will want to do more. I can definitely hope. Cheers AGW
Hey Rick I got a question for you how come everybody says the Umarex Hammer is made in Texas and made in the USA but right on the magazine it says made in China
Please listen to the video. I mention several times we are going to do all that next. This was the “fixin to get ready” part that you all never see. The next video will be the full review. Cheers AGW

@@AirGunWeb WELL THANKYOU VERY MUCH . I THINK IT IS A GREAT GUN WITH ALOT OF POTETIAL . PLUS IT HAS JUST ENOUGH POWER FOR THE 17.5 NSA SLUGS. BUT THANKS AGAIN
Having the the potential bite right in ones face while shooting is concerning to me. I would imaging its very safe but if something were to fail that close to your face... I would be interested in feedback from folks here.
It dosen't sound very loud. When you speak about recoil. What would you compare it to in relationship to powder burners? Also please elaborate more on what exactly getting "bit " means. Is it a sting, or is it blowing you fingers off.
Getting bit, if you grab the breach could leave a pretty good bruise and hurt for a very long time. If you cup the scope, which is what I did twice in the learning process, feels like a garden hose at high velocity slapped against your forearm. Did not leave a mark, but was sore for about an hour. You don’t want to do it. As for recoil, it is not “sharp” like a firearm. It a like a firm shove, about like the force of a 30-06. Cheers AGW

If they make a .50 cal air gun replica of the Barrett M82a1, then I will buy it.
THEY DO IT IS A BODY KIT FOR THE AIRFORCE CONDOR. 1500 DOLLARS. NOT INCLUDING THE GUN
I will probably never own one, but what the heck, I will watch.
I'm thinking about to buy this gun but I was also looking @ the Piledriver and Zeus.. what is the best choice? ❤ the airgun sport
excellent real life review. TY
This is my favorite airgun, hunting with it is awesome!
Wish they sould domit in 45 caliber, lower ammo cost and bigger selection!
That’s why I’m leaning toward a 457 instead. Cheaper to shoot and more variety of ammo. I’m guessing a 457 shoots flatter too

I was wondering if you could explain your bipod setup. I have the hammer and I am going to set up a bipod but I want to get it right from the start
Sweet video for a sweet gun!
546 FPE with those slugs?!! Oh boy, thats hitting hard down range. Scary🙌🏾
Excellent review Rick.
Awesome gun and even better review, especially about the demon air vent🤙🏽 there’s got to be a way to develop a way to redirect that air…
Im gonna need a bigger compressor and fill tank before I get one of these. I could probably mount my first gen x sight too
I just killed my tiny compressor. The Hammer was too much for it to handle.

Great video 👍
That is one sick air rifle. Holy crap!
I guess this would be the go to for big game.
How many shots are you getting on a fill?
Chris, we're getting 3 lethal shots from a full capacity fill. If the pressure is lower than full the 3rd shot can have less air behind it.
Interesting rifle. Think I will stick with my Air Force Texan 50 lss
It seems very quiet. Is the barrel shrouded?
Hey Rick When you say bit, what is the injury that occurs? Again thanks for all the reviews.
Hey there. I posted an answer to this question already. Take a look at the comments. I’ll address this specifically in the next video.

What bi pod is that. Looks nice. UTG?
Awesome stuff!!!!
Hatsan "Piledriver"
How many shots are you getting per fill?
Most big bores only a few shots per Fill
Aaaa release your Air/ breathing. Keep your mouth open 👍 . Love it.
Ya that definitely sounds a little weird 😂 air flow is the key
I really miss the noise rating and which pellet works best in that model.

Need to get a good rest, with no rear support other than your shoulder isn't the way to test accuracy.

Do they make it in a smaller caliber? Those .50 pills have to get expensive.
Nothing smaller than .50 right now.

Me presentear com uma carabina de pressão.
