HS = HOLOSUN
HE = HOLOSUN ELITE
First Digit (4 or 5): Reticle Type
400 = 2MOA Dot Only
500 = Multi-Reticle System (MRS) 65MOA Ring with 2MOA Dot. MRS can be Dot only/Circle-Dot, or Dot only/Circle only/Circle-Dot depending on model.
Second Digit (0 or 1): Accessories
Example: 503 = Standard Accessories (Bolt-on Mount, Bikini Lens Covers)
Example: 515 = Upgraded Accessories (e.g. QD mount, Flip-Down Lens Covers, Kill flash where applicable)
Third Digit: Optic Type
Examples:

On the 403 series what does the “A” “B” and “R” mean?? Im in the market for one to put on my scorpion. But am confused.

My dot is blurry
You have an astigmatism like myself. I noticed some red/green dots look better for me like the Sig Romeo but it's best to stick with reflex sights or scopes.
The directions for sighting in this are horrible. They are the reverse of what is normally stated. I have written the company for clearer directions or I will return it!
I did return this sight, this time because I could not hear or feel tactile clicks when adjusting the sight.
