Nice guide! 1:20 - no, its pretty scripted as far as I know. More or less its woring in this way, with littel exception of middle ground wave which triggered by your position in the middle: First time - explosion right after placement on hero. Second time: explosion after one acid mortar strike. Third time: explosion after two acid mortar strikes or after one wave attack (middle or sides) if two acid mortart strikes happened before placement. Fourth time: Two acid mortar strikes or one wave attack } placement } one more acid mortar strike or wave (depends of your position) } explosion. Fifth time: similar to fourth. Sixth time: two acid mortars strikes } placement } two mortars/one mortart & wave attack } explosion. When you can expect ground bugs: 1. In the very beginning of battle. 2. After two placements/explosions on player + none or one more attack after second explosion of bugs.
Excellent tutorial on the IQ. However, one shot of the hive cannon cannot last long enough to block every beetle in a swarm so we've learned last night, gotta get that concentration up first lol

i shot 3 hives.. and still got hit alot of the time
