When we're young we think that dying is for old people and that kids will live forever. In my final year of school, however, our neighbour's daughter died in an accident. We were the same age and had known each other since we were very little. That's when we knew that children are not immune to death. This tape was in the car on the dark nights that I drove to school dances that year, along with our other neighbour's daughter, thinking and talking about the contrast between the joy of life and the sadness of death. Those memories became our broken souvenirs. Strange how songs and memories become friends through association over the years.
I love watching Pussycat, the songs, the harmonies and of course Toni Wille, there are not many sister groups today capture it quite like Pussycat. Brilliant.

As agroup their harmonies are fantastic, but the voice of Toni has a special quality, almost ethereal. I brought "Mississippi" when it was first released here in the UK, without realising that there was a host of other titles to their credit. I don't honestly think that they made a "bad" record. A truly fantastic group. A lot of todays songs cannot hold a candle to them. Great!
God !!! Toni has the most wonderful and perfect female voice in all time music!! Of course, she´s been forgotten throuhg all the last years. But, I DO NOT FORGOT HER !! Specially because this one music and also Smile, Blue lights in my eyes, Mississipi, Georgie, Do It, enlighted my teenage remarkably and Toni´s voice still enriches my dreams. Toni´s voice is a real God´s gift !!

A room mate of mine had their first LP when it was released in 1976. It was good music then, and still is. They had a couple of hits in this part of the world and I always thought their music was under rated. My memories of places, events and time are bookmarked by the music of the time and this group brings back some great memories. Thanks Pussycat.
