I still have my blue crackle Kc-40v. I got mine for Christmas in 1990, It was my first electric guitar. It is in perfect condition, just one chip and I lost the wrenches that where on the back of the headstock. Around 1993 I put the guitar in its case and purchased a Fender Mustang because it wasn't exactly cool at the time to be in a punk band with a superstrat. Well fast forward 20 years and I'm now 36 & now on the hunt for its brother, the red crackle one. Very beautiful guitar that you have, I also am wanting to get a kc-70 like yours! Take care!

I found the same model guitar in a pawn shop in new condition for $150. I've been a fan of the superstrat pickup configuration for a lot of years. The push-pull switch splits the humbucker into a single coil for a traditional Stratocaster sound. I like Washburn electric guitars for the switching options in the pickups. Some entry level Washburn guitars came with weak pickups but they can be easily upgraded and you still have the ability to switch pickups on or off and split humbuckers.

Very nice. I had the earlier version of the KC series...a G2V to be precise. I believe the KC's may be a bit more refined. Love the necks on the old Washburn's. Also enjoyed the "Hammer To Fall" noodling. My fav Queen song.

I'm from Orlando and still live here. Back then Ace Music, Abney's Music were a couple of the ones that may be the one you're thinking about. If you know the area or streets that it was on I can get the name for you. Great playing. I just bought one of these for $60 with the case....great shape too!!

Thanks for the comments! It would have been the one with many used guitars along the side. It had black walls and one big showroom. Can't remember the name or area.
