They never had one drive in the entire game where they got more than two first downs and their dynamic running back averaged 1 yard per carry. So when you have the superior team and they're dropping in coverage you line up and bust their nose with the run. It got ugly in the second half. This was always a three team race. Bosco, Mater Dei, and Centennial. The other teams were just there to fill in the brackets.
Yeah Poly use to own the PAC 5 and when Centennial came to the division they meant business, but right now MD and Bosco are really owning the division like Bishop Amant use to way back in the day.
Most likely they "get held" back to keep playing if they believe the talent is good enough to win it all again, or they just continue to recruit even though technically you're not suppose too.

The only public schools that can match private schools are schools like Centennial that have a super tradition and get every star player in their area and get the transfers from private schools that leave because of playing time. Rancho has to share players with Upland, Damian, and all the surrounding public schools. Do the math. I went to a public school and now my kid goes to a private school, when my boys come to the school and see the facilities, the strength and condition coaches, the nutrition program, they complain about how unfair it is.
