What an Adventure and the Highlands covered in snow are just stunning! Walked the WHW End of August / Beginning of September 2023. It was nice to watch your vid, the WHW in totally different conditions.
Good stuff brought back some memories though we did it in mid summer first day B n B Drymen after setting off at 1pm and a train journey second night wild camp at Rowardennan by what was SHA followed by a naughty camp by the side of the path at Falloch after a pint at the Drovers we treated our selves to a nights stay at the what was the Kingshouse Hotel before the latest development
Great, great content...... Well done. Loved this. And well done on making the right call, re: Nevis, as you said, it'll still be there on another day, but it must've been a bit gutting to be so close......... Wise head prevailed. ATB
Sorry I missed this comment and thanks for taking the time. It was an outstanding adventure and we bagged Nevis on our three peaks challenge so was great to get it done. 😀
Cracking video JT. What an adventure and well done to you both. That day four scenery was a little piece of heaven on earth. I'd hoped for days like that back when I walked the way in December 21 but unfortunately apart from a sharp frost one night all I got was rain. Thanks for the shout outs. Much appreciated and glad my videos helped. All the best pal, Carl
Thanks Carl 😊 Day four was like a dream and I'm so pleased I've got it to look back on for years to come. Your videos were such a help and can only thank you again for the effort you must put in to share so much detail and helpful information. All the best to you mate and looking forward to following more of your adventures 😀
I really enjoy watching your West Highland Way video, hit me in the feels and brought back a flood of memories. It was a trip down memory lane filled with so many good vibes. Looking forward to your next journey😄
This was my first video I've seen of yours and I have to say. I absolutely loved it. You guys did a fantastic job and I'm very much looking forward to seeing more. Thank you for letting me come along on such a grand adventure. Dwayne
Great video lads! Having done it myself a few times now, I can say this video gave me the bug to do it again (maybe even in winter!) . . All the best lads, and thanks for visiting and appreciating our country! :)
I've watched a stack of WHW TH-cam videos and yours is one of my favourites. Those views from Rannoch Moor, outstanding. Thanks for posting this I really enjoyed it. You were sensible to turn back before the summit on the Ben, the mountain will be there tomorrow, trick is to make sure that we are too, as the famous mountaineer Don Whillans is reputed to have said.
Great video. Good call to turn back on the Ben, your instincts tell you when things are not safe, it gives you a good excuse now to go back and reach the summit one day ✌️
Thanks for the comment. We had it planned for such a long time but we're blessed with the snow days. Devils staircase camp could take a lifetime to beat. It's a trail that I will definitely do again.
very enjoyable - music a bit loud compared to dialogue - but well done. short days mean less chance to take it in and enjoy it - but it's much quieter - and no midges - brucy bonus. nice vid
Thanks for the comment. Agree so much about the music volume as it really bugs me when you need to keep adjusting volume on device. I'm learning about editing and this was one of my top priorities. Really pleased you enjoyed it and we still feel so lucky to get the snow ❄ 😀
Great video brought back fantastic memories .Did it last August with our 2jack Russell dogs over 6 days.We camped throughout but only had 1 wet day. You lads did well ploughing through that weather.Never really fancied hiking in the snow till I saw your video. How much did you say your pack weighed again. Well done again.
Just a quick question that we should have asked in the original comment, did you post a gear list? Which tents, mats and bags did you both use on that whw trip? A subscriber and thanks so much for sharing your memories 😊👍🏼🫵😁
Hi Fraser, I did video one but never posted as audio was really bad. Tent was the Helm Compact 2. Sleep mat was the thermarest extherm and bag was Rab Assent 900.
Hi lads, just watched your lovely video and it gives me inspiration to do this too given my age! At the same time you we’re doing this trail we were hunting for bothies on Skye, we just had the wind and rain, you boys got it all! Stay well.
Lovely video... i did the walk in Feb this year and had bright sunshine the whole time. I feel your pain re Sallochy, i had to do the same stretch because of the no camping zone.
Cheers for the comment David. That first day was bloody hard mate. Well done for that achievement as I don't think I would do that in one day again with the amount of daylight we had.
@@jtoutdoors9888 - Daylight was a real problem for me too... i had to pitch by 5pm or walk on in the dark. The next morning i walked to Rowardennan before i got any light! That was a new experience for me!!
Cracking adventure that, enjoyed watching. Great decision on the benny, on your return up there go up from the north face car park via the CMD arête, much better route. Class. 👌🏼⛰️🎥
I’m only up to end of Day 1 on the video so you may get more comments- I also stayed at Sollochy but in August this year, and stopped in Drymen, so it was my day 2, I’d flown up to Glasgow on Day 1 - but big ask to do Sollochy in 1 hit - well done

Bar the wet days you had great mix of weather 👌. Lovely film and glad you had a good trip. Thanks.👍
We would have taken four days of rain for that one day of snow 😍 pleased you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment. 👍
Well done JT & Andy very good coverage in the winter.😊
Cheers James, it was fantastic to get some snow 😁
Brilliant, loved every moment of it! Can't believe its been and gone, but the memories last forever 😀
Till the next one!!

Thanks for the great comment just wish I had a better camera at the time. Got the Ben done when we did the National Three peaks Challenge last summer.

Cheers Mark. Can't wait to get back up to Scotland.
Fantastic! Great effort to do it in winter! That wild camp up on Devil's staircase looks pretty special. Thanks for filming and editing.

It really was stunning. I would take to two days of sleet and rain again for that day in the snow. I was carrying about 15kg.
Nice one Lads..
Good decision.. Ben Nevis will always be there..👍
Cheers Jimmy. More winter mountain experience needed to complete in those conditions then I have at this time. Itching to get it done now 😁

@@jtoutdoors9888Thank you 😊. Your film was a compelling view. From start to finish 😊
great trip - well done , to be honest soaked to the skin is no way to do Ben Nevis so right choice there - views of the snow were spectacular.
Thanks Alan. It was really great in the snow, such a treat. Got Ben Nevis cracked now 😀

Get it done you will love it. Really fancy the Skye trail sometime on the future. Thanks for the comment 👍

Great stuff mate, we completed our West Highland Way hike this July over 8 days, im currently editing mine to be uploaded to youtube.
It's a really great trail. Looking forward to watching your adventure 😀
Nice video... just subscribed bud 👍
Cheers Steve. Hope to see you out again soon.

Thanks for kind comment 😀since returning I've seen some videos of Ben Nevis from that approach and would love it. I will return 😁
Nice video

It really was a big day with the limited daylight so not many stops. Wouldn't do again this way to be honest 😂
Great video lads. Enjoyed it. Just wondering what spikes did you use, can they fit over normal boots/shoes? Thanks.
Thanks and really pleased you enjoyed. They are Grivel explorers and yes fit over any boot/walking shoe.
Great video. When exactly was your journey?
Thanks 😀 Started 11th March this year.
